I really hope you're right, I have very little faith in the committee giving any love to the PAC. -

Can't wait to show them what a real offense looks like. 3 of the ex PAC teams can really put up some points. -
Ohio State vs Michigan: What Helps the Ducks Playoff Chances?
Dave23 replied to Dave23's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Whoever wins I hope it's by a big margin. A FSU lose today would also be nice. I'm still worried that a one loss Georgia steals a playoff spot and the SEC gets two teams in the playoffs even in a down year. -
Who are you rooting for and how dose it help Oregon's playoff hopes? While I'm not actively rooting for OSUt I believe if they annihilate Michigan the Ducks have a better chance of making the Playoffs. A one loss Michigan doesn't look as good as a one loss OSUt and we're going to need all the help we can get to make the playoffs.

Looks like the Oklahoma game is going to run late, dose anyone know if there's an alternate channel? -
Georgia is in a big game today with Old Miss what happens to the rankings if Georgia loses? Two 9-1 SEC teams with a win over the Dogs Old Miss would more than likely be the top of the one loss teams. The more one loss teams the crazier this thing is going to get. If Washington loses they're going to drop back to 9 or further. Michigan could get bounced out of the top 10 if they lose badly to Penn. Then there's a 9-1 Penn State in the mix but they probably will not jump in front of the ducks in the polls. hold on to your hats gentlemen. It's just starting to get fun!

USC wins the most overrated team of the year again. LOL
-
He got burnt on a few and was lucky he had help. I liked the kid a lot but he's still young and makes mistakes also he gets picked on especially when he's on bigger receivers. Bridges is just a bigger guy who seams to stand up to the 6'5" receives a bit better.
-
T. Johnson! Looking good today.
-
At least he's in position to make the tackle but he gave up 3 passes on the drive before the end of the half
-
Florence is getting worked. I'd like to see Bridges get a shot as he looked good against Washington.

I Will Have to Re-Think Things About This Team...

He only needed to make one of those chip shots and if Dan new something he should put someone else in there. -

My question to Dan is what do championship team do? They take the points at halftime and go into the locker room with the momentum. When your down 2 scores instead of 1 it feels like you have to go for it, if your only down 8 you kick the field goal and that puts you in a game winning situation next drive. This is what Sabin would do. Game management is what separates the men from the boys and the champs from the runner-up. I get the impulse to want to go for the big points in a shootout but this game is the textbook example of why you take the points. Let's say you do want to go for it on 4th and goal and your QB just threw one in the dirt on 3rd down, don't you at least handed it off to James who is almost automatic from 3 yards? -

Of all the things the PAC refs scares me the most. At least we're past Stanford. -
Oregon is even spending good money at ESPN with the Bodacious adds, come on show us the Love. ESPN just really hates Oregon, more than most channels, likely because we're one of their biggest viewership losses next year. Why promote a team that you aren't make money off. They halve to promote USC with the potential two-time Heisman winner.

Whoa. Some Serious Stuff About Oregon's Defense...
Dave23 replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
My favorite stat of them all. This is what separates the men from the boys. The vast improved of the D from last year is really sumed up in that stat. Last year's D where in the right place allot of the time but just couldn't finish. I'm sure one of the coaches on here could comment further on angles, technique and positioning that had improved, future article wink wink. -
I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Ducks win this one by 21. They're going to be very hard to stop on offense as the mutts are 65th in total defense nationally and 8th in the PAC. Meanwhile the Ducks are 8th nationally and 1st in the PAC in defending the pass. Oregon is going to get some stops where the Mutts D is going to have a tough go of it. The only thing that has stop the Ducks are the Ducks. Ball control and clean football will be the keys to the game. I know stats are deceiving but the eyeball test is telling me that their Defense is nowhere near as good as ours and our offense is more balanced and just as dangerous. Yes I'm wearing duck pond green colored glasses today.

Duck Defense: Are You Beginning to Believe?
Dave23 replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
According to cfbstats.com Oregon is now at #7 in the nation in total defense, allowing only 153.6 yard a game! Oregon is also #2 in total offense in the nation, averaging 557.8 yard a game! Oregon is the only team in the nation in the top 10 in both of those categories! I'm a believer!
