  1. The selection committee is breathing a sigh of relief with the way FSU is playing. Way overrated as many suspected.
  2. I always use my phone. In the past, months ago the site was loading Slow. Video ads start a little while ago and I can't recall having one pop up in the last few days. The site sealed to be loading at normal speeds for me.
  3. A dominating Safety has been a position of need in the Ducks backfield since McKinley III went to be the NFL. Can't wait to resume the history of great safeties at Oregon.
  4. I actually do this for a living, owner and chef of a restaurant in Montana.
  5. Some of the finest restaurants in the world cook their steak in a pan. First make sure it's screaming hot then seasoning your steaks right before putting them in the pan. Second make sure you sear the steak forming a nice crust flip and immediately based in butter, garlic and thyme for about 1 minute then finish in the oven till internal temp hits 112. Let rest for 5 minutes, the temp will continue to rise as you let it rest, then serve. Yes it's a French technique taught all over the world at the finest culinary institutes. That being said do I like a steak cooked over wood, you betcha. The problem is it takes a lot longer to burn the wood down to coals to properly cook with. Then there's your access to properly seasoned wood and the type of wood factor to in. I definitely give Dan a pass on this one, although he does need work on his searing technique.
  6. Didn't think of them but now that you mention it Kansas could be a even better fit then bringing in two private schools. One USC is enough not to mention having to put up with ND another perennial overrated team. Never have been a Duke fan.
  7. The only thing that matters is where the team ends up. This is a very encouraging sign that Lanning is doing his job the way it should be done. As the CEO of the team he needs to be able to delegate and concentrate on all the players coming in not just the glory of being the primary on the big recruits. Dan is doing this extremely well and the numbers show it. With the team having a top 5 recruiting class and Lanning ranked in the '60s that means he's a team player with a leadership roll. As a small business owner you know you're doing a good job when every one is shouldering the burden equally and working as a team.
  8. If I had a vote I'd bring in ND and Duke. We all now what ND brings, Duke is intriguing. They bring a consistent football program with one of the most storied basketball programs ever into the B1G. I have not looked it up but I'm sure Duke has one of the biggest followings in all of men's basketball, I know basketball isn't the big moneymaker but it does make money. Bringing high viewership in the month of January, February, and March certainly would make the media guys happy.
  9. You hit the nail on the head. Unless you are one of the big money guys out of highschool going to a school with an open spot your way better off starting at lesser school and catching the payday later.
  10. His VA like elusiveness is exciting. He only threw 6 INTs and he's airing it out down the field with accuracy and extremely capability. He definitely has what it takes, now let's cross our fingers and hope he delivers.
  11. I like the trust idea, how it's administered will make all the difference. Turning sports into a job could be a step to far and could have unseen repercussions. Might as well just decuple football from the Universities and start a minor league. A 5 year scholarship player could have 150k sitting in a trust, That's not a bad start in life.
  12. Always like him and thought he was more of a natural fit at safety. He was never quick enough out of the break for the faster WRs. He did however have an eye for the ball, was good playing downhill, had good speed with a large catch radius. More of a free safety.
  13. Lucky needs to be more decisive hit the holes fast against this defense.
  14. Need a quick score to leave time for another drive later. This one's going to the wire.
  15. Two second string DBs on the field against the best passing O in the country. Next man up.
  16. The ducks DB's are just not quick enough.
  17. I hope that's the case, he has a bright future. We all mess up I just hope for him he doesn't let this affect him and put him in a downward spiral like Colt.
  18. Such a waste, he had so much talent and could have been in the NFL. He was good as a TE but I really think he would have crushed it at LB and gotten out some aggression in the process.
  19. Going forward I think NIL and the transfer portal will created more parity between the top 10. There's so many reasons "$" to stay in school. I believe this most apparent in the QB room, we're in years past if you were a late bloomer out of high school you ended up on a team that had no chance of making the playoffs. Now instead of entering the draft and hoping for the best they can transfer to a team that has a chance. Carson Wentz, Trey Lance and Josh Allen are good examples of kids from small schools that could have made a run for it all with different teams. In the case of Wentz and Lance both of them could have benefited tremendously from playing at a higher level and honing their skills before the NFL.
  20. SDST came pretty close last year. For me it's not all about who wins the championship but who belongs in top. Was the Boise State team from 2009 good enough to win it all? We'll never know because they didn't come from the SEC or the BIG10 so they never got the chance to prove it. 12 team playoffs give those Cinderella teams a chance to play for it all even if they didn't come from a power conference.
  21. The only regular seasons that might be diminished is that of the SEC and BIG10 which more or less have as automatic bids to the playoffs. The 2001 Ducks regular season would have sure counted for allot more or Bosie State in 2009. Just a few examples of teams that had regular seasons that counted for very little in the end.
  22. Daniels has to run to open up the passing game. Bo made that happen last year, this year he's so good he doesn't have to. Bo creates disadvantages with changing the play at the line or looking off DBs to help open guys up. He doesn't have to scramble for yards even though he can. Arguably that's the main difference between Bo this year vs last year. Bo is so good he makes it look easy. Daniels is out there creating offense because he doesn't have the football mind Bo dose. I for one am glad Bo no longer plays hero ball.
  23. They really need an upgrade at QB.
  24. That's good to hear from a SEC fan.
  25. I really hope you're right, I have very little faith in the committee giving any love to the PAC.
