  1. Great year with a nice postseason run. The coaching kept the team humming in into the tournament. What could have been, the Ducks were looking unstoppable in the mid season before all the injuries.
  2. With The Ducks O they never seam to be out of the game. Great Game, they never gave up just like they've done all year! This team is scrapy with can do attitude, credit to the coaches creating a tightknit Team.
  3. 8-5 after 4 innings, Ducks coming back from 8-0. The Game is on ESPNU is just starting to get good!
  4. Time to get it going, Ducks have faced worse.
  5. Grinsell is looking good, time to get those bats going.
  6. USC vs Notre Dame 6.68m Oregon vs Georgia 6.2m I should have been more concise in my original post. USC plays the team with the second largest fan base in all of college football every year at primetime on national TV. Living in Montana historically it been much easier to catch a USC game than an Oregon game on TV due to the coverage by the networks. All's I'm saying is Oregon should have more viewership than they do. I for one will definitely not be watch USC vs Michigan or Ohio State. I would much rather watch two PAC teams play, that is if I can actually get them on the TV.
  7. Only fitting that Oregon "Uncle Phil" be on the cutting edge again.
  8. I have no sold data on this but I imagine USC probably had more prime time spots with more nationally televised games. Just the Noter Dame game, every year, alone should give them a major boost to there viewership numbers. As Charles has stated the PAC 12 Networks have done Oregon no favors in viewership numbers. Just have better distribution would increased the number substantially.
  9. I have to admit I was a little confused by what that article was getting at as currently you can watch all the games ESPN has on ESPN+ streaming. Did it allude to ESPN+ featuring games from other networks?
  10. This is what you get now that college football is big business. Players are getting paid NIL money and maybe sooner than later they will get payed by University. Couple that with universities want to get paid 60 or 70 million a year and that money has to come from somewhere. I'm just hoping after this initial phase the streamers will consolidate down to two or three. I'm willing to wager that at some point Amazon or competitor will start offer a package deal on sports coverage similar to modern-day cable but streaming. At some point in time the 32 team mega conference will probably have its own DTC streaming service thus cutting out the middleman altogether.
  11. I'm liking the pitching rotation, using lots of pitchers for short stretches keeps your options open and your arms fresh.
  12. Wow how about that pitching and sold D by the Ducks. They look like they did midseason, very efficient with all weals turning, no errors in strategy or judgment. The hitting has been sold all year, seams like records are falling left and right!
  13. I'm starting to think Nishida might be good at DAT role on the football field lol.
  14. Betcher looks the part of a safety to a T, literally a center fielder!
  15. Got to love that Duck O. Keep those bats swinging!
  16. Just joining the game, sounds like it's just getting good!
  17. They're definitely better in a lot of sports than Colorado is. Football's definitely better, basketball way better and baseball doing pretty good. Not sure about the other sports but the first 2 is all that matters to the media.
  18. Unfortunately your 100% right. Other options might be you have to buy the outrageous expensive comprehensive game coverage mega package!
  19. Thanks for the replays, had to listen on Internet radio while I worked. The pitching down the stretch and a few errors on Xavier made all the difference in this one.
  20. Streaming and most Internet related media is all about the views not the potential market. Bring these two things together has to be a nightmare. It would be interesting if the media deal included a base sum with a royalty payment based on viewership number.
  21. This is probably a good indication of why the PAC deal is taking so long. Lots and lots of complicated negotiations with multiple parties involved. The PAC 12 Networks having not been sold off may just be the one thing that Larry did right, just maybe.
  22. This is true but Amazon has the cloud infrastructure in place to handle as much streaming demand as the world can throw at it. I think either of these companies are in a place where the cash is not super relevant but it's still going to have to make good business sense. The one thing ESPN has that no one else has is talented sports announcers, camera operators, sports media market experience and integration with sporting news and statistics. The PAC 12 networks, unfortunately, doesn't even come close. I do agree that the best use is for them to transition to and or be bought out by one of the streamers.
  23. So unfortunate as they where looking really good thur the mid season, really thought this was the year for them to make a run.
  24. I would not be surprised if someone like Amazon puts together an online bundle at some point in the future. Currently you can get MGM, Showtime, and AMC subscription thru Prime and they are integrated into the Prime interface. The executives at ESPN and Fox won't leave money on the table. We might see a payper view model for big games or they could give them away for free because the ad revenue would be so much greater on championship or playoff games.
