  1. 2. Thanks for the post. I have no doubt regarding Mario as a human being a a salesman but I have significant doubts about his ability to take Oregon to the Final 4.
  3. I stopped caring when McCaffery didn't win; and the award should be given out after the champ game is played.
  4. Sound thinking but formulaic? I think COY should be more subtle? Who did the best with the least? Who finished higher than expected? IMO< OR to date has finished up to expectation with 2Ls; Utah had 2 bad OOC Ls.
  5. Good call, But Mullen just got a $6M check from UF and is owed $6M more. I don't believe he would have any interest in coming west and reporting to Mario. I don't see him taking an assistant job anywhere but if he did he would demand free rein. BTW - Mullen is not the easiest guy in the world to get along with.
  6. THE SEASON OF CHANGE - 2021: NIL, The Portal, Coaches bouncing around like ping-pong balls, new players in the PO. Latest - Brian Kelly to LSU! Hats off to Joe. I wonder if he ever heard from the UW administration? New OC? In all seriousness and without any sarcasm intended, does it matter? This is Mario's show. What matters is that the next guy is very good at selling the program to recruits and guys off the portal.
  7. 2 new coaches in the SC/ND rivalry with Brian Kelly off to LSU
  8. And Bowlsby had no idea UT and OK were off to the SEC.
  9. I agree. Williams comes to SC and Dart is in the portal. Williams would immediately be the best QB in the conference. A threat as a passer and a runner.
  10. Williams is a generational type talent. He transfers to SC and Dart is headed elsewhere.
  11. Canzano had COVID 4 years ago? KIDDING!
  12. I think Oregon may be ranked as high as 8 Tuesday night?
  13. Will QB Caleb Williams follow Riley to SC? I'd love to have Spencer Rattler on the roster. He has played in and won big games. The guys in Oregon's QB room could not beat out Brown. Rattler would have started over Brown.
  14. Canzano was also certain that Mario would bring a national title to Oregon within, I believe, 4 year's of his being hired?
  15. Not in the 2 OT game vs UGA in the Rose Bowl.
  16. Always enjoy Matt's work. A statement hire by SC that shows that the administration is serious about being a true P5 contender and has opened the wallet to prove it. Will QB Caleb Williams follow Riley to SC?
  17. Thanks. I thought Aranda was a big time candidate for the job. Baylor plays OK ST Saturday. Is Aranda now the guy at LSU? I think Bill O'Brien is also in the mix for the LSU job. I think DeBoer would be a good hire at UW.
  18. OPEN JOBS - OKLAHOMA/ LSU/ UW/ LA TECH/ TEMPLE/ AKRON/ TCU Miami OC Lashlee has taken the SMU job. Not certain what, if anything, this tells us about Manny Diaz? Sonny Dykes was a lock at TCU but with the Oklahoma job now open? Bob Stoops is the interim HC at OK. Will he encourage AD, Castilogne, to bring his younger brother Mark to OK from Kentucky? Dave Aranda has yet to sign the extension at Baylor. Word is that Coach Pete really wants Aranda at UW?
  19. Tedford is not healthy enough to take any job.
  20. Heupel also makes sense but bad blood after Stoops fired Heupel.
  21. AAC Champ Game is not a neutral site game. It's Houston at Cincinnati -10.5. Weather like OH ST at MI and MI at Penn St?
  22. Interesting thoughts. Why OT in any game that is not a champ game? CFB played decades longer with ties than it has with OT.
  23. SMU + LA TECH are open. Akron is bottom basement. My 'surprise' hire for UW: Bret Bielema.
