  1. Pac 12 in 2021, 5-6 vs the MW. I think the SEC is the preeminent conference. But there is no reason to play in the SEC's and ESPN's sandbox. And there is no reason why the other 4 conferences, with ESPN owning all of the Playoff media rights, not to kiss the world wide leader so long and go it alone. The BCS and this BCS x 2 has done nothing except to diminish the Rose Bowl and elevate the SEC from what once a conference on par or less with the Pac-12. I agree that the 'leaders' of the Pac-12 continue to be out to lunch; perhaps, better stated as thinking it's all good while blowing lunch? Agree. The Pac-12 roster-wise keeps on losing to inferior opponents.
  2. Thanks DM. When Carroll was at SC he put a lot of guys into the NFL and many were O and D line guys. In the last 5 drafts when it comes to O and D line guys the Pac-12 is only ahead of the ACC. Or, maybe only behind the ACC is more appropriate.
  3. I'm not sure about why, but I do know the 'old' brand was FUN!
  4. OK the Pac-12 decided to stand pat. Meanwhile, Bob Bowlsby anted BYU, Cincy, Houston + UCF in, and made the B12 a P5 conference again. Expand The Alliance to include the "new" B 12. and we would have one heck of a playoff. Culminating with the champ game on 1/1 in the Rose Bowl. A Playoff that allows for the number of involved participants similar to every championship run by the NCAA. 16 of 53 teams would play in meaningful post-season games. The SEC could play with itself. The field., according to the so-called Playoff Committee final ranking. 16 Houston at 1 Michigan 9 Pitt at 8 Utah 13 Wake Forest at 4 Ohio State 12 Iowa at 5 Baylor 15 Clemson at 2 Cincinnati 10 BYU at 7 Michigan State 14 NC State at 3 Notre Dame 11 Oregon at 6 Oklahoma State My guess? CBS, FOX, NBC, etc., would line up up to broadcast 'this.' It might not 'Mean More, ' but $ wise, it would mean far more than 'It Just Means Less.' And it would be one heck of a Run For The Roses.
  5. Shut down CAM at the same time the Chipper 'shut down' the Oregon passing game. No team that season shut down CAM like Nick A did.
  6. Jonny, you're out of your element! One of The Greatest handles of all time. Congrats, Dude.
  7. No. It's 70 degrees here. But id do see 3 snowmen on my golf scorecard; not good.
  8. Just think. Today Billy Joe could have scored that money free and clear; just call it an NIL deal. And Don James coaches for another decade or so?
  9. Sun Devil Herb - I see one of ASU's best RBs in 2021 just portaled over to Ohio State where he will play line backer? Very strange. I like Bob Stoops over the 'Move Over to Miami guy' coaching (poaching?) the Ducks. IMO, this is a which team wants to be here least kind of game.
  10. To date, the press is making a big deal about USC's 2023 'commits.' Very good players but they are all skill guys. SEC needs Beef.
  11. Does not = owning Boardwalk and Park Place.
  12. No bowl = too much time on your hands? What kind of fraternity would pledge a commenter like YOU?
  13. LOL! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?
  14. It started with the BCS and the BCS x 2. Never should have happened! Pac 12 + B1G should have been smart enough to hold on the CFB's most valuable property. If CFB had split champions, so what?
  15. I would send the Pac-12 runner up to Las Vegas. Weather not a factor and possibly make it an invitational so the opponent could come from any conference. This year's LV Bowl has ASU playing Wisconsin. Why not Oregon vs Iowa?
  16. QB and team captain but run out of Columbus by Buckeyes fans who believed he did not tout the Nuts enough? I think today he has relocated from Nashville to Cincinnati? His two sons went to Clemson.
  17. And to you and the Spirit of Abbie.
  18. DeBoer is not rallying the troops? And with Penix coming from Indiana to play QB I expect at least 1 QB will portal out.
  19. At least eminent scholar Jimmy Lake has been ostracized.
  20. Austin Powers: 'I used to think you were crazy but now I see your nuts!'
  21. And good tidings for the New Year! (Now, if Oregon could only play and defeat the Tide in 2022?)
  22. In 2022 you are allowed 7 additional players on scholarship; 92 instead of 85. I think the powers that be wanted to help out the many, many guys in the portal. And due to 2020 not counting against eligibility guys who would have run out of eligibility are still on rosters.
