  1. And Bama's L on the road to a 2L team has Bama ranked at 4, right? Ahead of undefeated Michigan, OK ST and Michigan State. Highest ranked 2L team? #17 A+M, of course.! The team Bama lost to. Next highest ranked 2L team? #19 Auburn. In other words, this poll would perfectly set the SEC up for 2 final 4 teams if UGA + Bama both win out and Bama wins the SEC champ game. Loooooooooong way to go. But if somehow, someway, the Ducks finish 12-1, Oregon could be the first undisputed P5 champ with a 12-1 record to be left out of the final 4? Ohio State has #6, #7 and #9 left to play and will play a top 25 team in the B1G champ game.
  2. According to Niels, aren't the past, present and future all occurring at the same time?
  3. None from me but lots from the AP voters. CC is #14 having played No One.
  4. Week 7 AP - Ohio State 5; Notre Dame 13; SMU 21. OREGON - 10 - only Pac-12 team ranked.
  5. Do it! Should be fun. Ducks only Pac-12 team in Week 7 AP Poll.
  6. Chip's record at UCLA? The LA Chipper has not out-coached a whole lot of folks. The Bruins DC will likely outcoach the Mario/Moorhead O? Among others, Arizona's coaching staff slowed down the Oregon O. But I do not think Chip's play calling will baffle the Oregon D? The key to the game IMO? Will the Ducks D be able to stand up and hold up against the Bruins run game?
  7. So much of this would come down to SOS. Oregon goes 12-1, how many top 25 teams will the Ducks have played? Will there be another Pac-12 top 25 team in the Committee's ultimate ranking? How will Notre Dame finish? And will ND blow out SC this Saturday and Stanford at season's end? I note that no 1L undisputed P5 conference champ, this season will not end like the B12 ended with Baylor/TCU being co-champs, has been left out of the PO. Eye test? Cincy is winning with style. Oregon?
  8. NOTE - Regarding Rolo's status. Please do not turn this into a political discussion or debate. I posted this simply to note that this situation could have an affect on a future Ducks opponent.
  9. AMEN! I did not post this to generate any kind of political discussion or debate. Merely to note how this might affect the play of a future Ducks opponent.
  10. WAZZU HC, Nick Rolovich, per Washington State requirements for state employees, has until tomorrow to be vaccinated or obtain a religious exemption from being vaccinated. He says he will not be vaccinated and the religious exemption is not likely to come through. Too bad. His players love the guy and he just posted back to back wins vs Oregon State and Stanford. After last night's victory over the Cardinal his players embraced Rolo like it was his last game.
  11. Good take. I know we are talking O but the sparkplug on this Ducks team is Mr. T. Stanford just lost to WAZZU. Looks like Rolo has coached his last game? He has until tomorrow, per state rules for state employees, to get vaccinated, obtain a religious exemption, or get canned. Rolo says he will not be vaccinated and no religious exemption is likely to be approved by the end of the day on Monday.
  12. Thank you Just Ducky, nw777b + SW Duck. Cincinnati has to hope that SMU stays undefeated and stays in the top 25 before the Bearcats play the Ponies. Also hope that Notre Dame finishes 11-1, which is doable. The Bearcats are aided by Clemson and the ACC being down and the Pac-12 being down.
  13. MR. T in the 2nd half. Per Pro Football Focus - 22 2nd half pass-rush snaps. 11 QB pressures. 1 sack. 2 QB hits. And preseason folks speculated that OK QB Rattler would be picked ahead of KT?
  14. 5 Top 25 teams lost to NR opponents yesterday. The beat goes on in a crazy 2021 season.
  15. Lake is now 5-5 as a HC. And his recruiting to date is awful. But you do have to tip your hat to the UW fans who show up in Seattle game after game.
  16. I have to say that I am honestly surprised by a number of the excellent comments above. A top 5 coach? Saban, Swinney, Day, Riley, Smart, Brian Kelly, Mark Stoops, Jimbo Fisher, Matt Campbell, James Franklin, Kirk Ferentz, Whittingham and a number of other coaches are ranked ahead of Mario in the CBS, ESPN, Athlon and other ranking of HCs. Mario's biggest W to date is a 1 point win over a 3L team in the Rose Bowl. And I must note that he is falling off many the ADs radar. He is fantastic recruiter. However, he has a losing record as a HC. And let's be honest, Oregon is not competing against SEC or B1G E competition. WE watched Oregon struggle at home vs, among others, Arizona. Yesterday CU defeated Arizona 34-0. Now Mario, please shut me up. Run the table all the way to the 2021 Final 4.
  17. Yesterday, 10/16, 7 Top 25 teams were idle. 11 ranked teams won. 7 ranked teams lost. 5 lost to unranked opponents. For the 9th time in its football history NR Purdue beat a ranked team. This time taking down #2 Iowa in Iowa City. Tied for 2nd on NR defeating ranked is Arizona with but 4 such victories. Herm Edwards is now 4-6 as a ranked vs NR, HC. In Salt Lake City, Utah shut out ASU in the 2nd half. UCLA pulled out the win at UW. Jimmy Lake is now 5-5 at the Husky head coach. Georgia's D is as advertised: Devastating. Bama rebounded big time. Ole Miss hung on in Lane's return to Tennessee although Lane was hit in the head with a golf ball; game was delayed when Vols were denied a 1st down on a 4th down attempt and fans littered the field with bottles, cups and yes, golf balls. Ed Orgeron likely saved his job with a 49-42 victory over Florida. Oklahoma started Caleb Williams at QB and blew out TCU. Oklahoma State came back in Texas to whip the Horns. Both team are undefeated setting up what could be an epic Bedlam game in Stillwater Mel Tucker, with a W at Indiana has Michigan State at 7-0 Dave Aranda has Baylor at 6-1. Remarkable 2nd year turn arounds by these two head coaches. Cincinnati after its destruction of UCF and with ranked P5 teams falling left and right has a most legit shot at the Final 4. My Week 7 Final 4 Guess? 1. Georgia 2. Oklahoma 3. Cincinnati 4 Ohio State Bury the Bruins!
  18. Is it possible to play 8, 1 score conference games in a row and go 11-1? Today - CU 34 Arizona 0. As I recall, AZ give Oregon a struggle in Autzen?
  19. And how many Ducks post 2021 will head to the portal?
  20. Mario Cristobal. No better CFB HC on Signing Days.
  21. In what Verse in the Multi-Verse did this happen? It obviously didn't happen here. A Duck QB is going to take his first snap in Atlanta vs Georgia? GULP!
  22. That's 4 NR teams winning over ranked teams. Crazy year. Hats off to Dave Aranda for a terrific year 2 turn around. Ditto Mel Tucker whose Michigan St team stayed undefeated with a close win at Indiana. Both plucked the portal perfectly. And OK ST will be a big challenge for OK. I am not selling the G5 short for this year's final 4. Cincinnati pounded fellow off to the B12 brother, UCF. Frankly, I don't think the Ducks would have a chance against this Cincy team? Is everyone fired up for next year's opener 'at' UGA? The UGA D toyed with a very good Kentucky team. UGA should cruise all the way to the SEC champ game. How about the game UGA TE Bowers had? Bowers is from (sigh) Napa, CA.
  23. That's a $9M exit fee. Miami doesn't have the money. Would SC pay this buy out having watched the team struggle in 2020 and 2021? If any school should know SC should know that you have to do more than recruit.
  24. Pinnochio? Was Mario's nose growing? Great take and reminder Mr. FD.
