  1. A guy who paid his dues before getting a P4 HC gig at the P4 school with the most losses in CFB. CFB fans, 2024 was not a schedule-induced Indiana one-off. Cignetti was the recruiting coordinator for Nick Saban at Bama. His Dad was the HC at West Virginia for years and is in the CFB Hall of Fame. The Cignettis' ties with Saban go back to Saint Nick's roots, West Virginia. Cignetti was making $200,000.00 a year working at Bama. To his wife's chagrin, and his daughter's, who was a student at Bama, he took a $125,000.00 pay cut to become the HC with the University of Indiana, Pennsylvania Crimson Hawks, not Crimson Tide. The same school his Dad coached for before moving up to West Virginia. Then it was on to D2 Elon and then on to FCS James Madison, where he moved up with the Dukes to the FBS and success in the Sun Belt. Danno's career is the antithesis of Cignetti's. In his own sardonic way, Curt has gone out of his way to emphasize the success Dan Lanning has had a a 'young coach.'😁 Curt now makes $8 million + a year. In 14 seasons as an HC, Cignetti has never had a losing season. The impact of his hire on Hoosiers' football is right there with Prime Time, except for more wins. One reason I believed Indiana could be this season's Indiana was the manner in which Gig acknowledged his 2024 team LOS problems, addressed the same in the portal, as well as bringing in a likely 1st round draft pick at QB, and Maryland's best RB. OBD wins on Saturday, and it will be Cig's 3rd loss at Indiana, where Indiana used to have three losses or more in every season's first four games. His two losses. At the 2024 National Champion, Ohio State, and at the 2024 PO runner-up, Notre Dame. OBD has the better roster, no doubt. But I'm not sure there is a coach in CFB who would have his team better prepared than Gignetti for Saturday's visit to The Autzen Zoo. I think an OBD cover will happen, a cover of a line now bet down to: Autzen ZooMysterious movement in the betting line, odds for Indiana...Something weird is happening with the betting numbers ahead of Oregon's home game against Indiana. As noted in the article, this could be due to PSU's face plant in LA and OBD not having a win vs. a Top 25 opponent. The only Top 25 and Top 25 wins that matter will be revealed by the PO committee on 12/7/25. HOSE THE HOOSIERS! PUT OUT THEM CIGS!
  2. CIG's team is smokin' and he's nobody's fool. 0-47 - The Hoosiers' record in road games versus Top 5 opponents. 🤪 PUT OUT THAT CIG!

  5. The AP Poll Week 6-7 Playoff. ROSE BOWL - No. 1 Ohio State vs. 9 Texas Tech at 8 Alabama SUGAR BOWL - No. 4 Ole Miss vs. No. 12 Memphis at No. 5 Texas A&M ORANGE BOWL - No. 2 Miami vs. No. 10 Georgia at No. 7 Indiana COTTON BOWL - No. 3 OBD vs. No. 11 LSU at No. 6 Oklahoma No Penn State - 😁- With Nebraska and Cincinnati's wins on Saturday, UW's sterling road comeback, Michigan finally closing out the team with the best rush D in the country, yes, Wisconsin, PSU with games at Ohio State and home vs. Indiana and Nebraska, USC with but one loss and games vs. Michigan, at Notre Dame and at OBD, and one-loss Illinois and Maryland, are in theory, still in the PO hunt. B1G PO separation games in Week 7: OBD vs. Indiana; Ohio State at Illinois; Michigan at USC; Nebraska at Maryland. [Northwestern at Penn State - 🤔- Don't laugh! NW defeated UCLA.] SEC PO separation games: Florida at A&M; Oklahoma vs. Texas; Bama at Mizzou; UGA at Auburn; Wazzu at Ole Miss - move right along, nothing to see here.😧. It's the SEC, so ... The 1st Bobby Petrino audition game sees the Hogs at Tennessee. (Traveling by plane, not motorcycle. 🤪) Mari-oh-oh with a chance to play the PO opener and the champ game in his 'home' stadium. For finishing ranked No. 3, OBD plays a lower-ranked SEC team in Dixie. Can we please have a Playoff and not a Bowl Extravaganza!
  6. David, thank you again for another entertaining, enlightening article. It's so good to have true frosh come in with stars attached to their names and produce in their first season. That's talent meeting opportunity and excellent coaching, schematically and otherwise. All right, youngsters, Put Down That Cig!
  7. Kentucky has moved its Athletic Department from under the university umbrella and into a newly formed Limited Liability Company. In the pursuit of cash, one size will not fit all. OBD fans are blessed to have an Athletic Department in the black. If you look across the landscape of B1G schools, this is the exception and not the rule. Where else could many unsuccessful 'subsidiaries' have their 'parent company' valued at $40 billion? Private capital puts up $2 billion for 5%, with the 5% going away in 2046. Of course, beware the details, but on its face, it looks like a good deal, one that will deliver funds to flat-broke UCLA athletic department. But any deal will not happen, of course, without sign-offs from Ohio State and Michigan.
  8. More on No. 3 OBD vs No. 7 Indiana (More Moore to Moore, please 😁) Ducks drop back to No. 3 behind Mario Cristobal's Miami, host No. 7 Indiana Saturday Behind Mari-oh-oh as of now. But Wait A Minute!
  9. Jimmy Knowles, Go to Your Room!
  10. Once upon a time, Jeffery came off the bench, replaced the injured DTR at QB, and took down Texas. I know, Texas, right?😁 In studio on Saturday, Dad Rick had to apologize to PSU fans for losing any semblance of objectivity. I LOVE both your and Charles' takes. 😎

  15. While waiting on the AP Poll. SP+ is Big on the B1G! OBD, TOSU, and Indy are 1,2, and 3! Question: Does A&M ever play a road game in the SEC? The next game has the Aggies hosting the Gators. Will Florida take down the two Texas big boys back to back? ESPN.comUpdated SP+ rankings for all 136 FBS teamsThe latest SP+ rankings, plus strength of schedule and résumé SP+, following this weekend's results.
  16. Charles, I trust you can hear the AMEN! coming from this corner. Only one group of "experts" risk taking it in the shorts if wrong, the bookies. GO DUCKS, Hose The Hoosiers!
  17. Hats off to the Gators and Gat! Hats off to my betting buddies who convinced our consortium to bet the under preseason win total for Clemson and Texas. Guys who played on a 4-loss team at Clemson last season were being lauded as preseason All-Americans. Texas lost many quality players from last year's team, the Archie adulation was hive mind hideous, and what has Sark won in his career? A B12 title with a superior roster in that conference. BTW, he defeated Mike Gundy in the B12 champ game to win the title. 😁 If you are hungry in Austin, Texas, do not look for Golden Arches. And frankly, Franklin overpaid for Jim Knowles, and is overpaid himself at PSU. One old Patriot, Mike Patricia, looks like the assistant coach hire of the year. Did anyone in Chapel Hill check Billy's record without Tommy? Saturday's Assistant Coach of the Week 6 Award goes to Jerry Neuheisel. If Nits fans are ticked off about Jerry's Dad not being objective on Saturday ... 🤬🤬🤬. It's OK, hockey season has started. 🤣🤣🤣 As is often the case, on a down CFB weekend, CFB came through. 😍😍😍 PS - In T-Town, Don Diego couldn't cash the checks he wrote with his mouth. Even with Johnny Football on the sideline. 🤑
  18. Gee whiz, after a loss in a White Out? Give PSU a break! Right? Compared to: After a loss to the number 1 team in the nation and having to travel 3 time zones away to play an undefeated team, and being behind going into the 4th quarter, how about we get Husky with it and win! It's a 12-game regular season, and there are no excuses. You win or lose, period, end of sentence. I don't believe that James Franklin could carry Jedd Fisch's jock strap. Franklin has coached in a 3-team only competitive conference, taken advantage of recruiting happy hunting grounds, won enough games to stay employed for B1G bucks, and will never win the games that matter. There is no, nada, nudge, stugotz excuses for losing at UCLA. If I'm a PSU booster with B1G Bucks, I'm thinking about bringing in Pat Fitzgerald. Someone who will get right down to the real nitty-gritty. Someone who will coach up his players to punch the other guy in the mouth. PSU is a team that opened the wallet to keep NFL guys on campus and to bring in the missing pieces needed to win it all. Like Michigan in 2023 and Ohio State in 2024. But with an SSDD head coach.
  19. Their GM quit. I think he's looking for a job at Linfield? How do you turn $300M into zip? Give it to Beavis and the clawless, clueless, Cougars. Best of luck, Wazzu at Ole Miss next Saturday.
  20. Absolutely diminished. It's sad, but it's a game of comparative scores. There is zero excuse for a team with a Blue Chip Roster showing up in LA with no will to win the game.
  21. Why not? What do we have other than trans properties? This was a bottom-feeder loss for PSU. An L that sullies last Saturday's win. Without a win in Columbus and a win against Indiana, We Are The Champs, Penn State will not qualify for the PO. PSU allowed the wrong QB to escape to Mizzou. PSU is trying to run an RPO O without a QB fit for an RPO. This, after paying mucho dinero to keep guys at Beaver Stadium, playing for a sure thing, an NFL first-round draft pick QB, and WRs who can actually catch a football. And I do think in the subjective world of CFB rankings, this does diminish last Saturday's win. I also believe UW's comeback against Maryland helps OBD's cause. It's unfortunately all about transitive properties and comparison scores. 136 teams in theory competing for a spot in a 12-team PO, the manner in which you win and lose matters. The win in a White Out? Was it that B1G of a deal? OBD, but for a couple of plays, was 'This Close' to a three-score win. From a mile away - Penn State fans will now whine about the strenuous travel post-White Out. This never would have happened but for the Newbie Westies!🤬 OT - My Vegas buddies, including Moi, called the under win total for Clemson and Texas. It's always good when you can line up after Week 6 to collect season-long future bets. 🤑 If you're looking for the Golden Arches in Austin, Texas, good luck, yuck, yuck 😁.
  22. Jerry Neuheisel for the next UCLA coach? A somnubulant Bruins O woke up today. PSU lost twice. This is bad coaching squared. I'll wait on Charles, Mike West, or another more skilled Xs and Os guy, but running an RPO O with Allar at QB? The problem? Who can we hire who is better? Bama wins and shuts up Pavia. UGA owns Kentucky. Clemson brings more laughs to the Billy sans Tommy hire. Texas? Did no one notice the talent that left last season's Longhorns? Did no one notice the preseason AA players at Clemson lost 4 games last season? My LV boys and I win. We bet the preseason under for Texas and PSU. Indiana? Put out the Cig in Week 7, but are the Hoosiers still the underdogs at PSU? ND is fortunate Navy defeated AFA today, 34-31. ND is in the final 12, and something is wrong. PUT OUT THEM CIGS! https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/bowl-projections-sec-big-ten-own-college-football-playoff-field-with-alabama-oregon-ole-miss-among-risers/
  23. Kirk, compared to other scores today, UW rebounded from a loss to No.1, overcame the travel and being behind, and won the ball game. Locksley is now 0-10 coming off a bye.
  24. This does not help OBD's PO cause. Hats off to the Jerry (?) Neuheisels.!
  25. Michigan fans are calling NCAA HQ to see if Sherrone Moore's suspension can be extended. 🙃
