  13. AMEN, Bama Hammer, and Also Get Tony Petitti On Board. Time for Greg Sankey to let the Pac-6 wanna-be Pac-12 know to forget 'Power' status BAMAHAMMER.COM Let me be clear that I have nothing against America's West Coast. 14. David, I understand your thoughts and appreciate them but: Blame for what? Investing the capital required to be a recognized brand in the marketplace and capitalizing on this recognition. The same tools and fools who were hired to manage the Pac-12 didn't get the approval of one-sixth of the conference from OSU and WSU members. When it comes to the Pac-12's demise, there are no clean hands. These two made their beds and want to blame the Pac-10 for the lice and fleas between the sheets. Coming next will be the MW remaining teams breaking up the Big Sky conference and so it goes for programs that long ago abandoned academic interests in favor of two sports carrying the entire athletic departments. By the way, Oregon invested money not only in athletics but also in academics which is why Oregon is an AAU member attractive to the B1G and OSU and WSU are not. Blast these Sons of Beavers!
  15. The author of this self-serving piece of fish wrap appears to be well-versed in Situational Ethics. The left-behind MW teams understand and approve of the MW now having to break up the Big Sky conference. It's all good, including the Pac-2 using purloined money earned by other schools to blow up the MW. There have been unfortunate instances of men taking advantage of women but that didn't mean the Sabine women were happy about it. Walk a mile in the shoes of Nevada, UNLV, San Jose State, and New Mexico. Of course, some of the left-behind MW schools will be added on at a discount. (A discount from What is TBD.) The Pac-6 cannot add UTSA, Texas State, Memphis, and Tulane because the poor little athletes would have to travel more than one time zone, right? THIS makes me even more ticked off about Saturday's game in Corvallis which will be the most-watched game of the Beavers season. In the minds of Committee members, out-of-conference Oregon will have played an FCS team and two G5 teams and not have a win over P4 Texas Tech. Please Ducks, come together and Blow Up and Blow Out these Sons of Beavers.
  16. It's Freezing in Auburn, Alabama. WAR U Guys Suck! Hugh Freeze chucks Auburn players all the way under the bus after loss to Cal FANSIDED.COM Year 2 of the Hugh Freeze-Auburn Tigers era has gotten off to an inauspicious start following their 21-14 home loss to the California Golden Bears. 17. Three Predictions Ducks Fans Will Like. 3 bold predictions: No. 9 Oregon versus Oregon State SATURDAYBLITZ.COM Week 3 of the college football season brings us one of the most played rivalry games in the sport’s history, Oregon vs Oregon State.
  18. Things Won't Get Any Easier? Boise State is Ranked 27 In The AP and CBS Sports Polls. Idaho is No. 5 in the FCS Top 25. Pac-6 Oregon State is Not Ranked in the AP including Others Receiving Votes and is 47th in the CBS Sports Poll. Idaho State is not ranked in the FCS Top 25. Why Oregon is on upset alert in Week 3 WWW.YARDBARKER.COM Following two unconvincing wins to start the 2024 season, things won't get any easier for Dan Lanning's Oregon squad in Week 3.

USC athletics partners with cannabis company Cookies in groundbreaking sponsorship deal - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM The Trojans are the first athletic department to sign a sponsorship deal with a cannabis company Dude, pass me the chips and dip. 20. Amber Alert For the Child Who Came Up With These Week 2 QB Rankings! The Michigan QB had a better day than Gabe? Ranking the top QBs in the Big Ten after Week 2 of college football DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM The Big Ten quarterback rankings changed a lot after Week 2 of college football season.
  21. Amen, OD. I thought that other conferences that poached teams were REPREHENSIBLE Dirty Birds! 🤣 I'm TO'd that the Pac-2 used the stolen dough for this after shrewdly agreeing to pay $40M more for the MW escapees. How did this happen when you have a brilliant CFO like John Canzano? Come 2026, we are more likely to see a B1G/SEC World Series College Football PO than seeing the Pac-Whatever with a guaranteed invite.
  22. How About Some B1G Bowls? Bowl game projections for every Big Ten football team after Week 2 DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM A look at where each college football team in the Big Ten Conference is projected to play in the bowl postseason after Week 2 of the season. But how many PO contenders will be happy to go bowling other than in the NY6 and how many players will want to suit up to play in a "meaningless" bowl game? OREGON - 9 Seed at 8 seed USC/ Penn State/ Iowa State? I do not see these games as being probable. Iowa State at 8 with the B12 champ the likely 3rd or 4th seed? 2 B12 teams in the top 8? No matter what the PO Poohbahs have to say, if at all avoidable, I do not see 1st round games vs conference members. Why? Less money than playing a team outside of your conference in the 1st-round. This ESPN would not like. Illinois is 2-0 and has home games left vs Central Michigan, Purdue, Minnesota, and Michigan State, and plays NW at Wrigley Field. The team just defeated No. 19 Kansas. No bowl? Rutgers with its conference schedule and 2-0 to date will be bowl eligible. I'm less certain about Maryland but I think the Terps win 6 or more games. USA Today has no love for the B1G and lots of love for the SEC. Georgia, Tennessee, and Texas should be highly ranked but Ole Miss, Missouri, and Oklahoma have defeated no one to date and ranked A+M lost to a team that just lost at home to a G5 team. I reiterate, I believe there will be more umbrage this season and next with a jury-rigged PO format than we witnessed in the 4-team PO including FSU being benched.
  23. Thanks, David. In 2024, being B1G and with a 12-team PO with 7 at-large spots, one loss, if not a bad loss, like the Domers just suffered, does not put a team on life support. A loss in Corvallis would be a bad loss. You do not want to lose to G5 team and that is what OSU is and will be in the minds of PO Committee members. If it's any solace to date, Idaho State is Portland State East. San Diego State even before the loss to OSU was ranked in the 90s. In college basketball both of the Beavers wins are Quad 4 wins. The Ducks win over Boise, ranked 27 in the latest AP Poll is a Quad 2 win at worst and will probably be a Quad 1 win at season's end. The Ducks would have put the same whipping on Idaho State as it gave to Portland State last season. Boise would likely defeat SDS by two or three more TDs than the Beavers. I'm not suggesting that Saturday in Corvallis will be an Easy Day, but the Ducks have by far the superior roster, Boise's QB started for Idaho last season, Gabe was the 1st team All-B12 QB, and will not take OSU for granted. As you noted, David, get by OSU and what looked to be a too-early Idle Week is coming at the right time to give the transfers more practice time with the holdovers and get dinged OL guys healthy. BLAST THE BEAVERS!
  24. Critical Duck, this 'expansion,' if approved by the Pac-12 "Board of Directors 😁" will cost $72M in exit fees plus $40M in addition to the MW exit fees that the Pac-2 when it bought MW game inventory, agreed to pay for poaching MW teams. $10M per team poached. What ROI is expected on this expenditure of $112M? Why not simply do a reverse merger with the MW. Are they saving spots for the Pac-10 to come back? You can put lipstick on a pig ... As noted above, this will not bring 'The Pac-6' close to being a Power conference or increase the money networks are paying for game inventory. No Comprende. The Pac-2 are Terrific Thieves but get an "F" in Economics 101.
  25. Again, Solar, thanks for the great topic and everyone's thoughtful comments. Nick Saban. I can recall him reacting vehemently when things did not go well on the field but for the most part, Saint Nick called out his assistant coaches on the sidelines and not the players. I am certain Nick had no problem 'coaching guys up' in practice. As to the issue of Oregon fans being spoiled, 'this' emanates from the top and is part of the brand. The fans did not come up with 'That Team Out West.' Being brash is part of the Ducks sales pitch. Oregon today is a nationwide and worldwide brand. This happened because of on-field success, the support of one of the best coporate marketing entities ever, NIKE, and not being shy about putting up a poster of Joey Harrington in NYC, Bo in Dallas, and taking huge bath toys on the road. 😍 Spoiled fans? Look no further than Columbus, Ohio. Ryan Day is 56-8. 39-3 in conference, and he is on the hot seat because he lost the wrong 3 games in the Big Ten. WOW! Buckeyes fans are not spoiled, they are Entitled. When it comes to college football fans, remember that Fans is a diminutive for FANATICS.😁OBD is 2-0, has yet to use a Playoff Mulligan, and ugly wins today will simply be wins come December. Did any team last season have more ugly wins than that Other Team Up North? Bash The Beavers!
