PUN - DINKS? KARMA? Ducks with 'decent players' return the opening game favor of Danno's HC gig?

Neuhiesel still Nu-Weasel!
And likely will not be there until a 3rd Natty, if then? The 1st is a Fluke. The 2nd, It's easy to get lucky twice. The 3rd. Perhaps these Sucks don't Ducks? OBD is in a Galaxy far, far away from Bristol, CT. FRACK ESPN, tOSU, and FEBU to All!

Time to Unleash Oregon’s Upside for the Playoff!
Thank you, Charles. Merry Christmas to all OBDers. I don't know if OBD will blitz more often but tOSU DC Jim Knowles will bring the house. Gabe's stats under pressure do not come close to his stats when he has time to throw, true of every QB. Knowles was roundly criticized by Buckeyes fans (do they ever have anything nice to say?) for the lack of pressure Ohio State put on Gabe in Eugene. If Howard is on, as he was in Eugene, and Saturday night in Columbus, and with the skill players he has on hand, I find it difficult to differentiate between the Ducks and Bucks Os. The Ohio State D has been solid all season. The tOSU D has not seen a passing attack as lethal as Oregon's but once this season. I'm with Charles, go after the Buckeyes DBs who appeared to be overrated on October 12th. The Oregon D could not stop the Boise run game early in the season which is understandable. The D was lit up by a Penn State team with a very good run game but without a true threat at WR. This IMO is worrisome. I think the game will come down to the wire and the winner of this game wins the whole enchilada. GO DUCKS! Stuff the Bucks!

Merry Christmas!......I Know What Everybody On This Site Wants.

Wanna Bet on the Rose Bowl? Take Oregon and the Points.
FWIW (not much 😁) my betting buddies and I are down on the Ducks +114 Money Line. It is rare indeed to get the No. 1 team in the country at Plus Odds.

Wanna Bet on the Rose Bowl? Take Oregon and the Points.
Thank you, 30, great take. The problem with dogging Ohio State? tOSU's O has been inconsistent but the D has been consistent and the best in CFB. OBD is the only team that put up more than 17 points on Ohio State this season. In front of an insane group of Ducks fanatics, OBD won by one point. Yes, OBD left points on the board, and so did Ohio State. OBD will not have the same home field and fan support in Pasadena. DUH! The Ohio State D will travel. Hopefully, the Ducks D we saw vs. Penn State will not travel. PSU does not have the WRs to win a shootout with Oregon. Ohio State has the skill at WR to go score for score. IMO the game will come down to which Will Howard shows up. The Howard who played in Eugene and against the Vols or the Howard who played against Nebraska and Michigan. If it's the former, the game will go down to the wire, just as we witnessed in Eugene. The sluggish Buckeyes team that played against Michigan was nowhere to be seen Saturday night. That was a focused football team with a ton of talent. This tOSU team will be heading west with momentum and revenge on the mind. Come On Ducks! Win the Day!

A Championship Game in the Quarterfinals is Dumb
Sugar Bowl - UGA Down Starting QB (😧) Domers Down Leading Sacker (😍) Notre Dame will be hard-pressed to replace key defender in CFP WWW.YARDBARKER.COM It may not feel that nice right now for fans of the Fighting Irish as they look ahead to a second-round matchup with No. 2 Georgia in the Sugar Bowl knowing that one of their best players won't be... A Championship Game in the Quarterfinals is Dumb
I'm All In On Playing the Games On Campus and not in Far Flung (unless you are an SEC team) Bowls. The Chiefs have a 1st round bye and for the quarter-finals, Chiefs fans have to travel to Pasadena. Business people manage the NFL so this does not happen. Going PO Bpwling will not change until CFB separates itself from the Disney, ESPN, and ABC Playoff ATM. We need home playoff games up to the National Championship game SATURDAYBLITZ.COM Despite how anticlimactic the first round of the 12 team playoff ranking was, the coolest part of the weekend was seeing home games in December at classic stadi The numbers are in. The PO games on Friday night in South Bend and Saturday in prime time in Columbus drew good numbers. The number of folks watching the Texas-Clemson and Penn State-SMU games on TNT that were up against NFL games was disappointing. Start the season sooner. Play champ games sooner. Start the PO sooner. But SOMEONE would have to be in charge, other than Mickey Mouse, for this to happen. BLOW OUT THE BUCKS!

A Championship Game in the Quarterfinals is Dumb
Thanks, Darren. I don't believe any objective person not earning a living off this PO disagrees with you. Indeed, the honks at ESPN who in part, make their living off of this fouled-up format agree with you. THE NCAA which is often blame-worthy, has nothing to do with the FBS playoff. The college football playoff format used by the NCAA for lower divisions is perfect. Why? Because it mirrors the format that the NFL and the business people who manage the NFL use. This format is the result of Greg Sankey, the Notre Dame AD, B12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby, and MW commissioner Craig Thompson, needing a unanimous vote from the Power 5, Notre Dame, and the G5 to expand the PO before 2026. It could be worse. We could have had 6 conference champions automatically qualify. An Army team blown out by Notre Dame and Navy could have been in the field. (Not that Army would have looked worse than SMU.) Fortunately, after playing chicken for a while (something that bird brains do) the Pac-2 reluctantly agreed to a 5/7 format. All things being equal (perhaps unequal?) the automatic qualifiers would have been. 1. OREGON - Pac-12 2. Ohio State or Penn State - Big Ten 3. Georgia - SEC 4. Boise State - Mountain West 5. ASU - B12 6. Clemson - ACC The four byes would have gone to OBD, the B1G champ, Georgia, and based on how the Committee voted, Boise State and not ASU. Still screwed up by Boise being seeded ahead of the B1G runner-up and Texas but more palatable with a Power 5 instead of a Power 4. I'd have preferred that the Power 4 and Notre Dame not agree with a PO where the ranking did not equate to seeding and showing the holdouts the money left on the table by waiting until 2026 to expand. If the G5 didn't like it, too bad. There are dynamics in the 'business' of college athletics that are unlike how 'REAL BUSINESS' operates. 4 Team PO in 2024-25 - 1. Oregon vs. 4. Penn State/ 2. Georgia vs. 3 Texas. 2 B1G and 2 SEC which we de facto witnessed in 2023-24. with pending B1G UW and pending SEC Texas in the field. [Without Notre Dame being restricted from being a top-4 team, OBD could have played Notre Dame or Texas in the semifinal.] Sankey, Petitti, and others knew that the 5/7 format with seeding not equating to ranking was going to screw over a team or two. The Two Screwed (Scrooged?) in 2024: OBD and Notre Dame. Frack It! Just win. OBD goes 16-0 with wins over Boise and Penn State, two wins over Ohio State, and wins over Texas and Georgia, and if this is not the greatest CFB season ever it will have to be in the discussion. Frack the Format! BUST the Bucks Nuts!

This Ranking of the CFP Coaches is Dumb!
GIGO! One coach out of the remaining 8 in this tournament has a Natty; he has two. A coach with two Natties lost to a coach who won his first PO game. If you flipped the Clemson and Texas rosters and played the game in Clemson, South Carolina which coach would get the win? Unless you're an AD looking to hire a coach, why this ranking? What are the bona fides of the person making the ranking? Did superior coaching result in the four teams winning first-round games? Or did they win because the winning teams had better players, and were playing at home? Four games. No upsets. Shocking! BASH BRUTUS!

Howard Trash Talking the Ducks!
At least Once + Hopefully Twice This Season as the Sun Sets on The San Gabriel Mountains and tosu's $20M. 🤑 tOSU just defeated a Tennessee team that defeated 3-loss Bama in (Hard) Knoxville, lost to the SEC Leader of the SEC Pack, Georgia, and Couldn't Bring the Bacon back from Arkansas. The margin of victory surprised me but not the win itself. So much of these mega-conference schedules come down to the teams you hit and the teams you miss. I want UGA to kick the whey out of the Domers. I believe our UGA OBD friends will agree that this was simply not a vintage season for the SEC. In the preseason I didn't get the 2024 SEC schedule. The disparity in the SEC conference SOS was ridiculous. It's the best conference in the nation but Not Every Team in the SEC is All That. It should be easy for an SEC fan as it is for an outsider like Moi to divide the conference into quadrants and not give the Lead Sled Dawg a ridiculous conference slate. How would OBD and TOSU have done against UGA's schedule? But That was Yesterday. ON 1/1/25 Put the BUST in Title or Bust Busteyes + Then UGA, Doom the Domers! UGA, follow OBD in paving the way, but for another tough hurdle, for a rematch in The ATL! This time, Dan has some half-decent players. 👍👌😍

Oregon Football: 3 Keys to Dominating the Rose Bowl
Great take; especially the nod to JJ👍😍. Penn State will beat down Boise on New Year's Eve. 🍻 I hope the Rose Bowl warm-up act on 1/1/25 sees the Fighting Dilly's sink Sark. Sighted Sark. Sank Same! 😜 4 Roses in a Row for OBD and 3 in a Row Over the Team That Was Once the King. 🤑

Oregon Football: 3 Keys to Dominating the Rose Bowl
Thanks, Alex. Show up delighted to Duck It Out with the Bucks. Play free, relax, and Have Fun. FEBU! OBD was the only team that scored more than 17 points on tOSU this season including the Kiffin-Approved, SEC Juggernaut, It Just Means More (at least until kickoff in Columbus 😁) Tennessee Vols. The Vols fans' Invasion of The Shoe was over before the pre-kickoff tossed coin hit the ground. There was a whole lot of Orange-headed South, including Smokey's dog house, before the start of the 4th Q. 😎 Take a Howitzer to Howard! Shake off the Rust and Put the BUST on the $20M title or bust.
