TB only being targeted twice the whole game says a lot about what the opposition thinks about his skills. He blanketed his man all game. At no time was his man open. Not once. TB will step in next year to fill Gonzo's role. DB's will be a strong unit next year.

Bridges played an exceptional game last night. The respect Mack Brown showed TB says a ton about Bridges emergence as a lockdown CB. Bridges name wasn't called much in the Bowl game. Something you like with your CB. He just wasn't targeted, RESPECT!?! UNC targeted Bridges once in the first Q. A perfectly defended pass in the endzone. Incomplete. Next play NC got the TD, a play TB almost defended coming off defending the flat to give help in the end zone. Bridges name wasn't called in the second or third Q. He wasn't targeted at all. Again, respect from Maye and Brown. Forth Q Bridges earned his crown. Came in on a corner blitz for a tfl. Pass break-up in the endzone that could have been picked and batted last second ball in the endzone. Trikweze Bridges growth this year has been nothing short of spectacular. He is setting himself up to be absolutely lock down next year. Well done TB, Go Ducks!

Ducks have a legit shot at landing this kid. Can he play TE? What a great talent to be in the running to land. Just wow!

Bridges flashed some brilliance. He defended 2 balls in the endzone perfectly. One should have been picked. Well done TB

I like Fresno St. I think they have the highest ceiling and will make the Pac a better conference. Purely from a football perspective . Bulldogs would be top 5 in pac within 5 years. Rabid fan base, just a gritty atmosphere. They would be a solid add for the Pac, IMO. Then probably San Diego St. Foot print in SoCal is important. Pac has to have a presence down south. Would love Boise St. Same reasons as Fresno St. But ya have to stay in Southern California.

Klemm will have the O line humming by September. The way he schemes and stunts, this line will dominate again. Going to come down to the leadership on the front. Forsyth was an excellent leader and will need to be replaced. Klemm has installed scheme that creates havoc. O lineman love havoc, it is fun for them. Who didn't enjoy seeing Sala pull to the opposite hash and pancake guys 15 yards down field? Yea, Klemm and his O line are just getting started. Should be another huge year for Nix and his backfield.

Division Street will level up Oregon. Between NIL, portal and recruiting, Ducks are going to have huge talent by year 3. 2 years and Ducks are competing for NC. Lanning will also get better this off season One school ran away with the best National Signing Day WWW.MSN.COM Money talks, as the saying goes. And nowhere does it talk louder in college football than at Oregon.

Nix could be a walk on. There's one

I don't think I have read a single article about UNC or the Holliday Bowl. Doesn't really interest me. If I am going to spend time and energy, it will be on recruiting and portal. I don't have time for all of it. I think the most important part of bowl season is the additional practice for next years players. Of course I will watch but my focus will be on the young guys getting showcased for the first time. I like watching football. I can watch all day on saturdays. I will watch many bowl games because its football. But most of it is meaningless exhibition.

So thats Nix, Williams, Penix, DJ, Rising and Ward. That is a stacked conference at the QB position. Should be a fun 23. Going to see some great QB play.

Book'em Danno

Absolutely, he is a very serviceable back up. DJ would keep winning if Bo went down. Who knows, maybe he replicates the change and growth Nix saw transferring to Oregon. If Ducks pick him up we will see the same arguments we saw last off season with Nix. "Good DJ or Bad DJ". I think DJ would thrive in the culture and system at Oregon.

27 recruits and working on 31. Wow. With the portal over half the team will be Lanning's guys. Thats a huge turnover in say 18 months.

O line is also 3 deep. You need bodies. Most are interior type bodies. Lanning plugged some holes on the D line also. Oregon is going to be a very good football team. If they get "good" defensively, look out, legit title run. Dudes everywhere on this team. Looking for a lot of the 3rd year guys to make a soph leap. Mariø effect stunted development of a lot of these guys.

A lot of guys are going to transfer out. Between Portal and recruiting, more will be added. Whats the #? 85 scholarships? Malchow is earning his pay spinning this stack of plates.

As a coach, If you have a player who wants to play football at another school, but his mom wants him at your school, do you still want him. Knowing his heart isn't in it. Knowing he will probably transfer in a year, I think I have a heart to heart with a kid and pull his scholarship. I would like to think I would anyway. I Feel bad for this kid. Parents mean well but the kid is going to resent them if they lean this hard and impose their will on a choice this big. Good luck son.
