  1. What are the statistical marks of success on the pass. Ducks seem to get blown up a lot against faster defenses on the perimeter. This was Tree This play relies on a ton of deception and undisciplined eyes. Ducks are out numbered 3 to 1. If Stanford safety stays disciplined its not a TD. Safety leaked out to the sideline taking himself out of the play. Seems Cougs blew this play up. But... I am not an expert or a football coach. Cota scored here, just seems like a low success rate. Curious to how successful it actually is
  2. I agree, the Wazzu game was a huge step forward. Duck showed a tremendous amount of grit. They grew a ton in that game. I watched WSU last weekend and they were a shell of the team Oregon played the previous week. I think Oregon broke them.
  3. I don't know. What has changed for Mariø ball? After four years at Oregon, the whole country knows what Mariø is all about. You can dupe 17 yo kids but not opposing power 5 head coaches.
  4. My thought is that when Dilly leaves it won't be for the quick buck or the bang bang opportunity. I think Dilly has something to prove and views Oregon as the perfect place to prove it. By the time KD leaves, he will be able to dictate his terms anywhere in the country. I think he believes Ducks are the perfect canvass to create the masterpiece he envisions.
  5. https://www.miamiherald.com/sports/college/acc/university-of-miami/article266816006.html Miami claims they were ill prepared and got an attitude adjustment during bye week. Did anyone in South Beach do any research of the 4 Duck seasons with MC? Pretty common theme here for 4 years. Ill prepared and new and improved physicaling from here on out. Good luck Cains, let us know when the wind stops blowing. In the meantime we will be celebrating an actual coaching staff.
  6. He has some strong offers. Miami obviously, Penn state, Vols and Gators. Az is on the up swing also. Clearly he is an interior lineman. Dudes a mountain. I am sure Klem and Love will get his down around the 320# range. How active are his feet? Thats what I would like to know. With all the stunt on the line this year, he will have to be able to move.
  7. This Duck staff and team feels different than in years past. They seem to be right on the edge of becoming something special. I felt this way before the season started and that didn't change after UGA. By the end of the year Ducks are going to be a playoff talent. That's not saying they will get in. Could be wrong but I think Ducks handle AZ with ease.

  11. The only thing I would change is Wazzu at 3. The Coug that showed up last weekend was not the same team that played Oregon 2 weeks ago. I would put them 6 or 7. I was actually shocked at how unimpressive the cougs were Saturday. I think Oregon literally ruined them. I hope they bounce back, to me they looked bad.

  13. How do you even start this conversation in the film room?
  14. Penalties are a huge problem, always. Holding is a drive killer. PF put points on the board for your opponent. False start is silly and unnecessary, especially when its 3rd and 3. As for the Furd game, those refs should be suspended without pay, investigated and fired.
  15. Oregon isn't getting beat over the top. DeLaura will get pummeled by Oregons pass rush. Gonzo and Bennett are playing great ball right now too. Az won't be able to run on Oregon either. Quick slants and screens will most likely be the game plan for Az. It's what has shown to be the bugaboo for Oregon. Oregon is tackling well right now. Especially Gonzo and Bennett. Bennett puts his hat on the ball and drives guys into the dirt. I think he is the best tackler on the team. Maybe Lanning should rush three with some 1 and 2 man blitz packages thrown in. Stay in cover 2 with an extra defender second level to defend the short quick pass. I think we are going to see a turning point for this Duck squad. I think they come into this game focused after the last two outing v. WSU and Tree. Az defense is garbage. Especially run defense. Noah and Bucky are going to put up career numbers. Chunk after chunk all game long. I am looking for a statment game from Ducks on the road.
  16. I did enjoy watching Cota watching himself as he was scoring a touchdown on the jumbotron. That was pretty funny. He looked up twice during that YAC.
  17. A concern for sure. Also a concern is 2nd team O line. The drop off is significant. Nice to get them in as an entire unit. All the snaps mentioned when praising the 1st team O line are snaps the backups didn't get. Just not a lot of game play for them. You can really see it in the running game in garbage time. As the back-ups get better the 2nd team skill players will record better stats. Both Of TT picks are horrible luck against TT. I kinda chuckled when he threw the last one. Dude has the worst luck on the planet.
  18. I know my comment and view will be marked as being a typical fan whining about officiating. So be it. Truth is, the Ducks ground Tree into dust from the start. Absolutely dominated Furd and sent the back to Palo Alto crying about losing all the time. What should be a celebration of the Ducks destroying Tree has been marred by these garbage refs the Pac-12 keeps putting on the field. Oregon has a penalty problem, of course I see that. Needs to be addressed. Last week it was the D, this week it was the O. Gotta get it under control. Doesn't change the fact that the Pac should be embarrassed and ashamed of the officiating they allow out on the field. It's unacceptable.
  19. It's not only the blatant horrible calls like the horse collar and fighting, its the timing of a lot of these calls. The "illegal man down field" call erased a touchdown. It was another phantom call. There was another call that took away a Bucky first down in the redzone. Oregon ended up punting I think. Super frustrating. I even noticed FS1 was reluctant to show replay later in the game, or so it seemed. Wouldn't want to expose the ref's any further. There were at least 2 TD's where it appears the Ref was pained and reluctant to signal TD. It appears to be anti Duck Bias. I get it, I am a Duck fan. I see these calls through green and yellow. I could be wrong (but I am not) in my assessment because of this. No matter my biases, the Pac refs are worthless and they ruin games for fans, players and everyone else involved. Makes me sick
  20. Oregon hasn't surrendered a single yard on punt returns this year. Impressive number.
