Is Gambling the Only Reason People Can Enjoy Sports?
Just Ducky replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
It’s one of them. If it wasn’t for fantasy football the nfl would take a big hit. Hard to go into a bar on without something going on with nfl betting. The lottery frowns it it because it cuts into their take. -
IMHO the key to replacing Evan is whomever our starting QB is most comfortable with if they need a play made. There is plenty of talent in the room to choose from, with speed, with size, and for the most part can catch the ball when asked to. There are many schools that would be in serious trouble if this happened to them but I don’t think the Ducks are one of those. Plenty of studs in that group. Go s

Evan Stewart May Miss 2025 Season With Injury
Just Ducky replied to EastBayDuckDad's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I’m with you Chuck on Malek. I was not impressed with his body language in the spring game. I’m sure it was just a bad day or he was not settled into the offense as good as we hoped I’m not ready to loose my mind over Evan’s injury as we have a ton of talent in that room. Although I feel sick to my stomach for Stewart’s season, I know he was working his but off to prove he is that guy. Very sad turn of events for the young man. Hope he makes a full recovery. -
Hopscotch coming soon along with participation trophies and medals. my 6 year old grandson just got one. They won the coach pitch Oregon City tournament against 3 other teams. Played each other twice!! Don’t think there was any lawyers involved but maybe. I hope not. Oh how the times have changed.

Could Oregon Be Seeing TWO Steps Ahead in Recruiting?
Just Ducky replied to Charles Fischer's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Not worried at all about Dan and his staff being able to compete at a high rate in this nil environment. Not sure what goes on in their recruiting meetings where they select the kids to go after that fit their needs but in Dan I trust. My confidence will only be shaken by a losing season and, that my friends, I don’t see that happening any time soon. Go s -

Big thing for me would be the chill factor and how hard that is on pitchers shoulders and arms. maybe it will be muggy and that will help.

Better for OBD - No. 1 Recruit or Three Experienced Players?
Just Ducky replied to Jon Joseph's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I have no problem with the portal, Dan and his staff have used it very successfully and I expect them to use it again as needed. I would however like to see less one and done guys in the future. It would be much easier on my brain matter, what’s left of it, and more time for our coaches to work with these kids. Opportunities for players like Bo Nix are going to be less and less now that COVID players have been flushed thru. I agree that a team with more quality and deep talent is the best way to build a roster and this years defense, IMO, will prove that theory. From what I saw in that spring game that defensive group was very impressive and deep. Can’t wait to see all those studs working together on the starting lineup with quality backups available. On another note taking my 6 year old to that spring game turned him into a Duck, he can’t stop talking about it. His oldest sister is a sophomore in Corvallis, poor girl. His other sister has been accepted and will enroll at Eugene this summer. Proud grandpa. Go s -
Some people don’t care about winning. But! No one wants to be the first looser.

Also heard they have a new class on how to deflate footballs properly without getting caught. The only class Brady needs to get his masters in deflating gates.

2026 Recruitment, Announcements, Interviews, Etc. (5)

The Ducks have an advantage in my mind. Any 5 star offensive tackle should see playing time immediately. Just being a homer I guess. -
5-Star QB Jared Curtis Picks Georgia over Oregon
Just Ducky replied to noDucknewby's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I’m missing something I think. Outside of Stanford I can’t think of a a franchise QB coming out of Georgia. Bobo was a good college QB ( I think ), as was Bennet ( I guess ). Hines Ward turned into a feared wide receiver for Pittsburgh but only took a few snaps at QB. Oregon however has a QB list far outweighing the Bulldogs which couldn’t hang onto to Beck. Curtis should start right away and will be successful because of the cast of studs around him. If he goes to the Ducks I see him sitting for maybe 3 years. Judging from the spring game we are in excellent shape at qb. Worry Not my friends. -
Many Big B1G Football Games in 2025, But Give Me 5!

The Ducks have the B1G scared senseless over going to Penn State and scheduling it at that ridiculous time. -

Not sure I’ve ever been disappointed in a Duck sporting event. This one was golden.
