  1. Will you need white-out for your diploma? Also, Congrats on the Masters.
  2. Guess his uw reading prowess allows him to come up with those assumptions. Say, what happened to their last coach? Oh, and Don James was soooooooooo clean. Well, at least he has 12 more years of a winning record (60 - 48) to work with.
  3. And don't deviate from the GOAL, even if it is not met. Back in the '80's, I had a goal of "being able to afford a $50K a year cocaine habit". I didn't want the habit, I just wanted the $50K discretionary $$. So, if I only got to $40K, I was somewhat satisfied as long as I didn't have the habit and still strove for the 50.
  4. Nice to see another alum, Mrs. Ballmer '84 Journalism, and her husband step up to give U of O an assist in academics. Ballmers donate $425M for new UO children’s mental health institute on former Concordia University campus - oregonlive.com
  5. Or a WR has RB potential. Exhibit A: Bobby Moore, aka Ahmad Rashad, all conference WR, all American RB, to Pro Bowl WR.
  6. No offense taken. I agree with you. I want an exciting dominating O. A Stoney Brook should be out of it by the half (at the latest) and the 3's and 4's should keep it that way getting many reps. If the 3's and 4's allow them back in, then we don't care about the final score.
  7. Iis his projection the 68 best teams, or who he thinks makes the tournament? Problem with being one of the best 68 is that due to the auto bids going to teams that aren't in top 100 due to league affiliations, you aren't necessarily in. That is why Lombardi is more reliable.
  8. 2 minutes between inane comments is a long time for Bill.
  9. That is a glacial pace for him.
  10. Still have my ticket from that game. A little like Wheaton's pick in that there was still time left in each game and the D's stepped up.
  11. Another reason to like the Huard family, just ask Kenny.
  12. I think you're right, WC didn't want to be in Philly (only because he probably had never been to Seattle)
  13. Very cool story, congrats to you and your family.
  14. Jeez, seems like the same conundrum football had with AB. The first ASU loss was right after ASU only scored 29 in their previous game, that was a real warning shot. Early on, it seemed Altman was trying the transfers with Richardson and Williams. Then he started using all the bigs and then switched to Dante as a starter. So, I think he never got consistent with his rotation and now it is still jumbled and with Young and Harmon not as tall as some guards in the past, the D just isn’t there. Plus on offense, it is lucky the refs can’t count to 3.
  15. Those fans have a life.
  16. Absolutely, they are undefeated in the off season, I looked it up. Don't tell them they have the same number of Ws in that same season. Prowess is as prowess does.
  17. The dreaded "vote of confidence", not. Except they are a package deal, I believe he was Herm's agent at one time. Women, children and ADs first.
  18. Graduated HS in 68, Stockton CA. Wanted to go to a Pac 8 school. $C & UCLA seemed to be in LA (no thanks); Cal too close, Stanford didn’t return my calls; sister at uw (state not big enough for the two of us); that left OSU and the Ducks. Accepted at both, but as the Knight Templar told Indiana Jones, “I choose wisely”. Fall soph year while registering for classes my tuition was taken care of. Turned out there was a frosh Stephen A. Smith on Bball scholarship that I got. He was from Sacto and had a girl friend who dumped him shortly thereafter. I think Barbie Benton went on to better things. Later that year the Ducks were recruiting a HS friend. Jim and I were jay walking across campus when a car honked at us. I turned at gave a one finger wave. Turned out it was his student athlete sponsor, Dan Fouts and coach was George Siefert who were taking us to dinner at the Branding Iron. I told them about “being on scholarship”. George thought it was funny as long as it wasn’t football. When the Ducks made it to the RB after ‘94 season, I told what turned out to be the best unknowing lie of my life, “Honey, this is a once in a lifetime thing”. Never happier to be wrong. Go Ducks.
  19. Not even close to the best reason, 'nough said, right members? But still cool features.
  20. You can't possibly leave out our former California governor in that category as he represents the husky's mantra, "I'll be baaack". Of course, you have to be dumb or dumber to believe they still have a chance!
  21. A GREED, plus the owner is a HS classmate, most hated man in San Diego, Dean (Dino then) Spanos.
