  1. "When in reality it is about brand-building, exposure and especially recruiting." Wrong, it's about East Coast Media votes, just as: 2015 McCaffery breaks single season all purpose yards 3,864 with 15 TDs, and loses to Henry with 2210 all purpose yards, 28 TDs. Sorry, an NCAA record trumps 28 TDs (unless, see below). And, 2009 Gerhart leads the nation in rushing yds (1871) and TDs = 28 ??? look familiar? Winner, Ingram 1542 & 17 . . HMMMM
  2. What A VERY FEW Duck students were chanting.
  3. Hopefully she will do for sc what Emmert did for the NCAA!
  4. Well, he can set his sights a little lower and "work it out" in the Mountain West (if they will have him)!
  5. I just hope George got a kiss first! Article is right here... “But this was something that we had to do. And this was something that the board and our key stakeholders encouraged. I’m sorry that my gain is your loss,” Yormark said. “We had a very collegial conversation. George was fantastic, and I’ll be seeing him again in a couple of weeks at some industry meetings.” Good grief...
  6. No.s 4, 13 &51 Three Ducks land on The Athletic's 'Freaks List' for 2023 247SPORTS.COM Tuesday morning brought cheer amongst the college football crowd as Bruce Feldman of The Athletic dropped his "freaks" list, recognizing the game's top 101 athletes. Three Ducks made the... Sounds good to me.
  7. He still has lots of eligibility left and the Bruins will be in ruins come '24
  8. Sad to see it go, glad to have been able to visit it. Just like our Ducks, onward and upward.
  9. It was a facebook post that I screen shotted.
  10. Although it killed the Pac as we knew it, maybe they did us a favor by being inept.
  11. They are calling for us to go 20 - 7 in the first 3 years in the BIG, 74% winning percentage.
  12. 100% agree. I would think the Beavs would want to keep the fka CW, so they could try and get revenge/bragging rights. Good news Beavs, when you're in the MW you'll be at the top of the heap; bad news, you'll be shunned as a payday game for being too good.
  13. Good news, bad news . . . can't do any worse
  14. Seems everyone had an exit plan. How long did it take for AZ, ASU and UU to leave after the Ducks and ewe dub left? Probably less than Pre running a 10K. So don't blame us. I still think Oppenheimer/Hiroshima Larry, fka Champagne Larry, carries the major blame.
  15. MSN WWW.MSN.COM
  16. I think 1.7 was pie-in-the-sky. I also think MLS at 1 mil would be larger than a Pac 12 audience. Besides, now we know we have really pissed off the sc fan base by: 1) being in the same league = same recruits 2) having 1 game a year in LA area (of course they benefit for being in Eugene once every two years to see a real college town). Maybe we can open our facilities to all visiting teams and poach a few. 3) not having lost to Tulane
  17. IF, a big if, the Pac adds enough schools to still qualify as an auto-qualifier to the CFP, then little bro OSU is in great shape for that bid. P.S. Are they "little step bro" now? Asking for a Corvallis friend.
  18. When the next media deal for the BIG comes up, will the BIG still want Rutgers and Maryland?
  19. Agree. However, when the next BIG media deal takes effect, we will be in it for a full share and that tide will raise all sports. Without the BIG money, the other sports would eventually suffer.
  20. Who cares, dump your so-called friend.
  21. Normally this is a pay site, but certain papers allow a few freebies each month. Sorry about the site used here but it is always nice to semi (if not completely) abuse these guys. Tracing the Pac-12’s 12 strategic blunders that led to its collapse | The Seattle Times
  22. Not so fast my friend, at least the U of O doesn't give scholarships to "athletes" that don't even play the sport. 'Varsity Blues': Former USC administrator Donna Heinel sentenced to 6 months in prison WWW.LATIMES.COM Donna Heinel, the third-highest ranking administrator in the USC athletic department, was sentenced Friday in connection with the 'Varsity Blues' scandal.
