  1. Ducks need to beat Georgia, average +40 pts/game, then beat a highly ranked media darling USC team for the PAC 12 Championship (Ducks have already throttled a highly ranked Utah at home and put them out of PAC title contention).

    Stranger things have happened.

I can be a cup half full guy. Kind of stinks to say zero chance before any snap of the ball has taken place.  Bo Nix starts and finishes the season and accomplishes those things, then he is in the conversation.

Upon further review, Blount is LYING!

This needed a good old-fashioned investigation. One of the best true crime shows. “See No Evil”, shows how video cameras help solve investigations. “Cameras don’t lie!”

    Blount’s version of the story:

    1) Trash talk from a distance

    2) Slap on shoulder

    3) “How ‘bout that a**-whoopin’, . . .

    4) ******!?”

Video Evidence (see 35 second mark. Watch and re-watch):

Hout hadn’t even finished the word “whoopin” when he got punched. Petersen’s shove even slowed down Hout finishing “a**-whoopin”. Watch it for yourself.

I had grown to respect Blount for how he turned his career around. But to make this claim/accusation for the first time 13 years after the incident, and not be truthful, is despicable.

Blount also punched his own teammates. My respect level now for Blount . . . 0

Go look up Legarrette and tell him he is lying….lol

Markus Eder is 31 years old, an Italian freestyle skier who participated in the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. This remarkable 10-minute video was filmed over 90 days in the Swiss Alps. It's all real.

Thanks for information. Some of those jumps which I assume is in the Alps are amazing. He looks very comfortable literally flying down that mountain.

What he is doing is incredibly difficult, and he makes it look easy.

  4. With the majors, The Masters, USGA (US Open), The PGA Championship, and the R&A (The Open Championship) most of the top players in the world will stay with the PGA.

The LIV tour maybe more like a venue for the +40 crowd and lower ranked players to make some money.

To me, it’s like the USFL, good players that are competing, but I am just not interested in following the league.

It's really to bad that The Ducks do not have one of their better T & F teams this year.  I would think that the exposure of the new facilities will be a great help in future T & F recruiting.

Any more of the Crouser family have college age kids available? A display of titles and awards from just that family alone is impressive.

Never hurts to have world class javelin, discus, or shot put people on the track team.

It's always fun to watch the Trojans start out with sky high expectations and then fall flat on their face(s).   😄

I like that scenario. I am no so sure they will fall flat on their face. However, the rest of the PAC 12 will sure be sick and tired of hearing how they are going to dominate the conference.

I say, Not so fast Troy boys. You haven’t won anything yet. Let’s see where you stand at the end of November.

I always wanted a Bentley Continental GT.  In the States, I enjoyed driving a Benz and then a Lexus, and was hoping someday to work my way up.

Man, I can't imagine driving any of those where I live now, with lots of two-way traffic on what should be one-way streets.  Some of the streets here were actually built originally by the Romans, and they didn't have to worry much about vehicle width in those days.

Now instead of aiming at a Bentley, I drive an old Citroen C1, powered by an asthmatic squirrel with a limp.  It has all the power of Emmitt Smith in his last desperate run with the Cardinals, but it's tiny and fits everywhere. I see people trying to navigate Bentleys and big Range Rovers here and I just laugh at them.

The ironic thing is that this is actually what NIL was supposed to be - Stroud making promotional appearances at the dealership and getting something in return.  Not recruits basically being given bags of cash to sign their NLI.

Buddy of mine has the convertible GT. Pearl white, with a deep rumble note from the exhaust. Beautiful car.

Wow . . . that completion percentage is awful. I thought Anthony Brown was frustrating because of missed passes but he was at 64% last year.

If Nix's CMP% is in the 50's, then we'd better buckle up.

I like what I saw from Butterfield in the Spring Game, though we can't tell how he'll do against a real opponent.

Too bad Mari Cristbal couldn't blow out enough teams to get some decent experience for back-up QBs.

AB was ranked 7th in our conference in passing yards per game. With that high of a completion percentage that tells us what we already know…most of his passes were completed relatively close to the line of scrimmage.

I can live with a completion percentage around 60% if we are throwing the ball downfield more often.

QB 1 will definitely determine how far this team can go. I remain very optimistic.

  9. My thoughts go to an example like Justin Flowe. He has a good year and he could be off to the NFL….really hope to see him dominate this year, but would be sad to see him leave.

Paying huge NIL $$$$ for a player that plays for one year under this scenario certainly doesn’t generate the “return” anticipated (not knocking down Flowe, just an example ). These types of scenarios will play out over the next few years and I hope will bring some sanity to how NIL is approached by each team.

While the “big name” QB recruits will probably always generate more NIL revenue under the current system. There will definitely be problems in some locker rooms between the “haves and have nots”.

Young men with lots of cash…what could go wrong? Someone is probably writing a movie script as we speak reflecting this type of scenario.

A more sensible approach to the NIL payouts to be inclusive of all the players is what I would recommend if I had a voice inside of Division Street.

  10. What I like about Coach Lanning is that he didn’t wait around hoping something good would happen because of his work ethic. He went out and created opportunities for himself.

In a very short time he went from a high school position to working for some very prestigious coaching staffs in the college ranks. He connects with the players, but perhaps more importantly he connects with coaches and has gained their respect.

While I expect some bumps in the road because of the learning curve associated with coaching at an elite level. I anticipate that those bumps get smoothed out quickly. Oregon could be a dream job for him.

Look, if you had one shot, or one opportunity to seize everything you ever wanted, in one moment, would you capture it? Or let it slip?

I think Lanning and his staff will capture it even if their palms are sweaty, knees weak and arms are heavy…

Look forward to watching his team and staff drop some bombs on the PAC 12.

  11. Memorial Day,

A day set aside to remember those who have served in our military services.

May we have gratitude to the the many brave men and women who sacrificed their lives, or sustained injury in mind and, or body in the course of their service.
