  1. They did, but it didn’t count. The Heisman Association may have given Bush his trophy back, but we all know he was about 17 years too early to be receiving NIL payments. We are now seeing the results of what came from USC being found out and then being made to play by the rules that every other team has to follow.
  2. It can be a useful move on regular plays if you time it right. It’s only allowed on FG attempts if you start your leap from the standing position.
  3. All of USC’s championships are mythical. They have never won a tournament or a championship game that counted. All of their championships in the 2000’s were voted on. All college football championships won before 1998 were educated guesses at best. Under the old system Oregon would have at least two national championships (2010 and 2024).
  4. They aren’t joking about special teams. I watched Benson’s punt return again and it was like USC expected him to run to his right. In fact, it looked like Oregon was setting up for a right side return. He ran to his left and blew right by everyone. USC’s penalty on Sappington’s doink was idiotic. That’s a penalty 100% of the time.
  5. Oregon held USC to 382 yards of total offense which is 107 yards short of their average YPG of 489. No small feat. USC averages 191 YPG rushing with a 5.6 yards per carry average. Oregon held them to 52 yards on 28 carries for a 1.9 yards per carry average. This was the difference in the game.
  6. They can run a lot of 12 and 13 formations and still stay balanced. Oregon can be the new Stanford.
  7. Oregon 28-27 0 TO’s 1 Sack 189 Passing Yards.
  8. Yes, but that also means the DB's could lose them in coverage.
  9. Sports Illustrated has written an article and Dusty and Danny talked about it this morning on SXM College Sports Radio (Ch. 84). The OU loss is probably helping this along, but the only scenario where I see him leaving is if he loses to Auburn and the Bama administration sees it as a good chance to unload him without paying his buyout. However, in this new CFB environment, nothing surprises me. Penn State Nittany Lions On SISEC Coach Climbing the List of Favorites for Penn State JobPenn State is in the second month of its search to replace James Franklin, who has moved on to Virginia Tech.
  10. Three of their four ranked wins cam against Vanderbilt, Tennessee and Missouri. The 7th, 8th, and 9th ranked teams in the SEC. Out of these three teams, only Vanderbilt has a ranked win...against Missouri. Tennessee and Mizzou have no ranked wins to go with their three losses. Yet, they're still ranked so they can keep the likes of Alabama in the playoff hunt. This is the perfect example of the SEC being a self-licking ice cream cone.
  11. I always thought these looked a little too brownish. I prefer the forest green of yesteryear.
  12. It's pretty much the same uniform they wore in the B1G CG. I know everybody expected them to break out the Ohana uniforms since they are selling that gear online for this game. However, they've already broken out the special event uniform for the year against Beavis. I'm not worried too much about black uniforms against a black clad crowd. It worked against Ohio State, but there was also enough red in the crowd to create a good amount of contrast.
  13. USuC's offense is better than Indiana's by about 10 yards per game. However, their defense is worse by about 95 yards per game. When Oregon faced off against the two teams with top 10 defenses they averaged 19 PPG. When USuC played against two top 15 defenses they averaged about 23.5 points. The averages say that USuC will probably get 21-24 points in Autzen Stadium on Saturday. Oregon just has to score more than that against their 47th ranked defense. One more statistic. The best offense USuC has face all season in Notre Dame (18th). The next best is Michigan (40th). They also gave up 34 points to Illinois (69th ranked offense) on the road.
  14. I think she's just talking specifically about the Penn State, Indiana and Iowa games. She's saying that Oregon hasn't shown the ability to slam the door in the 4th quarter while holding a one-score lead or a tie.
  15. I think Franklin preferred to go to a school that appreciates him and understands he needs some time to get the football program where he wants it. It would be the exact opposite at the SEC schools. Virginia Tech probably said “We’re glad you’re here”. Whereas an SEC school would probably say “You’re lucky to be here”. Ole Miss has apparently told Kiffin him they need a decision by the time the Egg Bowl rolls around. It’s looking like he may jump back into the meat grinder of boosters, fans and admin who have zero patience. That may be a challenge he wants to overcome. I personally feel he’s more equipped to handle the pressure this time and I think he’s will be successful to a point. He may have some SEC championship game and playoff appearances and maybe even have some wins in those games.
  16. I was not surprised by the defense. They only gave up 200 yards. I was surprised by the offensive output based on injuries at WR. I also heard Eugene was going to get a lot of rain based on weather reports earlier in the week, so I was also expecting a run-heavy offense like the last two games.
  17. Oregon 23-13 0 Sacks 1 Turnover 173 Yards Passing
  18. I always like the white helmets, but I think a yellow stripe down the middle would have matched the jerseys.
  19. This article is just small piece of a larger narrative that the SEC and Notre Dame homers are pushing for their own playoff status. It’s a campaign to influence the playoff committee. The more they beat the drum about Oregon’s “weak” schedule the more everybody starts to believe it. They’re counting on Oregon losing one more game, so they can get them pushed out of the playoffs and replaced by a 3-loss SEC team. It makes it easier to justify Notre Dame’s spot. It’s also their way of making the B1G look like a weak conference. Want to see proof? Listen to the take from B1G alum Joey Galloway.
  20. Mario Cristobal after watching Oregon win with one TD, 3 FG’s and a safety.
  21. I know most people would just leave this site after receiving a response like this, but I’m not one to back down. If you can’t back this post up with examples then I officially call you out for being full of steer excrement (I’m being very polite). I provide accurate analysis. I rarely throw out opinions that aren’t backed up with fact. Hell, I was dead accurate about my analysis of today’s game. Oh, and BTW, I didn’t make one remark during the Oregon v Iowa Discussion Thread. We won by 2 points. A safety caused by a punter’s mistake.
  22. Is it griping or “pondering”. I thought we were welcome to ponder without being berated.
