My biggest concern is that Hill will be sitting out the 1st half from a targeting call. Other than that I just don't see UW winning at Autzen.
To one dimensional.

They'll look fine at the half when Oregon's up by 3 scores.

Living up near Salem my Dish guide says no Charger/Falcon game. Instead it lists the 10:00am Bills/Jets game.
Regardless I gotta go with MM.

Beavs for the win.
After CO we could play 3 ranked teams if the Beavs win out until the CW game which looks very doable. That would look good if the CFP were in the mix.
Hard to imagine a 9-2 beav team but it would make for a long overdue great CW game.

Agreed. I think Cardwell is gone already (mentally) but staying on the team to practice and preserve redshirt.
I think Butters is gone next year and I could even see him as a Beaver. The Beavs are a QB away from being a very serious threat in the PAC.
I could see Seven on the Beav team as well. Beavs seem to like his type of athleticism.

Who do you take out to put in McGee? Franklin? Cota? Hutson? ... Hutson put up some big numbers against Cal, even after his dropped pass.
Overall Oregon's starters are solid at wide receiver which is where McGee has been moved to position wise as he hasn't practiced with the runningbacks... but even the runningbacks are out there making huge plays.
I picked Seven before the season started. He looked like he could've been the next DAT lite. Maybe next year.

I picked him as the breakout star in FishDuck thread earlier this year. I think I've only seen him in a few plays this season. It's puzzling as to why he's not in on more plays. I will say though that at WR/RB the Ducks are loaded so it is tough to get a shot a playing.

With SC and UCLA gone the P12 is the P10. That means unless they add 2 teams it will be an 8 conf-4 OOC season. If Oregon plays like it's
playing this season then they will be ranked in the top 8. The SOS might look weak but going unbeaten sure seems much easier.
Would the CFP take a P10 no loss team? To add to that who would be added to the P10 conference that would pose a major threat year in year out?
I see Oregon in the CFP every year even with an 8 game format.

What you saw then is what you'll get today with GA.
What you saw then is not what'll you get today with the Ducks.
Would the Ducks win in Autzen today? Probably not but upsets due happen.
Who knows maybe if the cards fall right there'll be a rematch in the CFP.
It's really hard for any team that's basically starting from the ground up to be as good as a mature program. How fast the program matures under Lanning is any bodies guess. So far though it seems like the teams getting better every week. But I doubt the Ducks will ever reach the level of GA since GA can recruit better players across the board.

I gotta root for SC in this one. If SC wins out as well as the Ducks then they meet for the P12 championship game.
What better way to finish a season than beating SC for the P12 title and knocking them out of a possible CFP game. Odds of Oregon making the CFP are 70+% so in all likeliness it will be for the Rose Bowl with a victory over SC.
That would make for a stellar 1st season for DL.

No it won't end.

I truly believe that if the pack can’t find a way to hang together then our beloved Ducks sports will take a huge hit. Our only hope to the championship we most want will be to come out of the pack. Our playoff chances would diminish considerably if we were to go on a bunch of road games back in the midwest every season. Our history of road losses confirms this.
As far as recruiting out of LA I think there are a lot of kids down there eager to get out of that town. If you have been there then you know what a nightmare it is. Oregon is still close to home and recruiting LA can still be manageable.
Whatever happens with expansion, I agree, needs to happen soon. I hope our new commish has the proper adjustments in place to make this happen but there are very few sighs that it is happening.
Not sure it would be a bunch of road games out to the midwest. Assuming (Yeah I know what that means:)) that there's 6 teams from the P12 total going to the BG1 and it's still 9 conference games a season with 3 OOC games it could playout like this.
With USC, UCLA, WA, OR, Stanford and Cal as the teams leaving the Pac that would mean 5 west coast games out of 9 conference games. If the remaining 4 games are split home and away that means only 2 games are travel to the midwest games. OOC games would still be as usual.
Reduce the 6 teams to 4 and yeah it would be more road trips which I wouldn't be in favor of. Still so much unknown at this point.
Agree that staying in the Pac when the CFP is expanded to 12 would favor the Ducks big time.

I checked my horoscope this morning and there was nothing about a merger.
Fake news.

Last year Charbonnet had 35 yards on 15 carries against the Ducks Oct 23rd at UCLA. I think our D is better this year.
And our offence is certainly better than last year.
Validation? I thinks there's a very good chance of it.

Not worried about the game. I guess somewhat concerned would be my feelings. Can't take em lightly because they do have talent and Chips good enough to make things difficult for the D. But they just haven't played anyone good except UT and that was a home game.
UCLA's SOS is way down on the charts. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being scared to death I'm giving it a 7.

I'm satisfied with where the Ducks are now. They beat what was thought to be a pretty good team in BYU. Handled WSU and the final score with Stanford doesn't really reflect how the game was.
31-3 at the half is impressive and in all their games if the penalties were reduced the scores would be even more lopsided sans the GA game.
Going forward I feel the ducks could take the P12 title. Some tough games ahead but if DL can keep the team focused in road games it looks like a P12 sweep is in the cards.
I certainly didn't feel this way preseason. I figured at best 9-3 to 8-4.

PLAYOFFS?! Don’t talk about—playoffs? You kidding me? Playoffs!?!
Way too early for me. Unbeaten in P12 play after the Colorado game then maybe. Still thinks the Ducks will be outside the top 7- 8 at that point.

I remember an Ost team under Erickson that was penalty prone yet in the Fiesta Bowl curb stomped a highly overrated ND team.
Are excessive penalties good? No. But they can be overcome.
I'm not saying the Ducks will be fine, I'm just saying until penalties control the outcome in a loss it may not be that big of a deal. Right now they're getting away with it. Time will tell when they play better teams. The false starts are the biggest killers.
It also seemed like as soon as they got in the red zone the penalties drive killers.

I am so lost as to what is happening in college football right now.
Agree. I quit trying to keep up. Seems like it's flip flopping back n forth which makes me dizzy. I guess I'm getting old and have realized that I may as well just sit back and not get worked up, excited or PO'd cause a week latter it's changed for the better or worse.
