Time to breakup traditional conferences and go to an NFL style conf/division format. No rankings, just win your games. Get the human factor out of it. Problem is how do you set it all up. That's probably a topic for another conversation. If it did happen then ND along with TX and BYU would be in. Going to 16 games just pushes the "Why is my team left out?" further down the list. College football at the FBS level has always been behind the times. Time to move forward.

AL beat GA in GA. IMO that's what will get them in the CFP. Better SOC and SOR than ND or Miami.

Lanning's made good hires and now all of a sudden he's blowing it? Agree. He's been spot on since he was hired as far as assistants goes. I fail to see how all of a sudden he's making two bad moves.

My concern is if both Stein and Lupoi both leave and don't coach in the playoffs.

OR should be #5 at a minimum after this Tue CFP rankings. If GA or TT lose next Sat then the Ducks move up to #4 and all the above is moot. Big question is can GA beat bama?

If the CFP refects these polls its bittersweet. Love a 1st round home game but having one less game is nice also. Timelines not much different than the old days when you make a new years day bowl game.

X factor? Just show up. Against top 40 teams WA kinda sucks. Points scored; OSU (1st) 6 MI (18th) 7 WI (30th) 10 They only had 3 points after 3 qtrs against Maryland (41st) Ducks are 6th in PPG given up 13.2. If I had to pick a player it would Tuioti.

In retrospect of things I guess a 15 yard PI is better than a 35 yard reception. I thought the Duck secondary did as good as they could do given the circumstances.

I see a shootout coming. I watched some of the USC/IA game and as usual USC has some studs for receivers. Plus for the Ducks is Moore and our RB's.

The OSU/ND Fiesta Bowl game was a blast to watch. Even diehard Duck fans had to enjoy the ND beatdown by the Beavis. Leading up to the game all the pundits were saying the Beav's didn't belong in that game. Turned out they did.
