Rubbing Salt! Oregon Uniform Reveal Brings Back a Painful Memory for the Huskies...
I was at the game taking verbal abuse from Fusky fans, who suddenly went quiet and wouldn't engage me after the Smith to Johnson TD pass ("the catch). What great memories!

Ruh-Roh! USC Fans Don't Like Oregon....Who Knew?
Thanks, Charles! That was entertaining reading! Next time you hop on their site, please let them know I don’t think much of their University of Spoiled Children (aka University of Serious Cheaters). Go Ducks !!!

Ho-Hum: Oregon Wins Ninth Straight Civil War Mens Basketball Game, 87-75
Kwame Evans energy and hustle was on a different level last night. Makes a huge difference. Wei Lin made some good decisions with the ball (unlike the prior games) and I expect him to be a contributor down the stretch.

Who is Next Man Up on OBD OL?
The injury report was just released and Genorris Wilson is out. Alex Harkey is questionable. If Harkey can't go, who is next in line for Right Tackle? Is there some shuffling with Bedford or Rodgers (both primarily guards) entering the lineup? Or do we go with one of the younger players (Fox Crader or Trent Ferguson)? Moore, Bryant Jr, and Laulea are all out. Sadiq, Jackson, Gray and Harkey are all listed as questionable.

Ducks!* 24-20 3 Gopher Turnovers 3 Duck Sacks 232 OBS Passing Yards These are the same statistics as the 1999 Sun Bowl, when OBD defeated the Gophers in a glorious bowl victory.

Ducks! 42-12* 2 Hawkeye TOs 3 Ducks sacks 237 Duck passing yards *I was present at the last two Ducks wins over the Hawkeyes (1989 and 1994) and was presently surprised at the results of both games. So I'm going with history and splitting the difference between the scores of those games -- 44-6 (1989) and 40-18 (1994)

Josh Pate's Epiphany About Mario Cristobal In Real Time (Must Watch)
As a high school basketball coach, I 100% agree that there are times a coach should erupt. But to be effective, those times should be few and far between. And just as importantly, that eruption should be in the locker room behind closed doors. I don't believe that there is any benefit in publicly humiliating a player.

Oregon Football: Time for the Ducks to Panic?
If we are goint to toss out the "lopsided wins," then I feel that when considering the running game, we can toss out sacks (which are not part of the running game but are including in rushing stats). In fact, let's toss out all of the QB/WR runs and focus just on the RBs so we can get an even better look at the "running" game. That leaves the following YPC for the three games you mention: Penn St: 28 carries for 141 yds = 5.0 YPC Indiana: 21 carries for 108 yds = 5.1 YPC Wisconsin: 32 carries for 227 yds = 7.1 YPC Pretty good numbers if you ask me.

Whoa! Did You Hear That Massive THUD Out There?
I became a Duck fan the day I was born (my dad was an UO graduate) and that will NEVER change because of on field performance. Win or lose, I love my Ducks (and I expect to experience a lot more winning than losing this season and beyond).

Learn More Football! A Superb Video About the Will Stein Passing Offense...
Good stuff. Thanks for sharing. I will just add that Dante Moore with a 5" (or so) height advantage over Dillon Gabriel makes these throws a little easier (assuming he makes the right read). Go Ducks!!!

Cool! Did You Notice This About Our Civil War Helmet?
One side of the helmet has OBD's "normal" wings and in a tribute to Bowerman/Knight, the other side of the helmet had wings patterned after Nike, the goddess of victory.

Good News, and A Personal Update!
Charles, Back pain is no joke. I feel for you and am sorry you are going to miss the game. Hopefully a Duck victory will help ease the pain a little. I won't be at the 2025 game either (for other reasons) but will see you at Beaver Stadium in 2028!

Offer Advice to a Visiting Fan?
We love new young Duck fans! Depending on traffic, it will take at least 2 and maybe 3 hours to get to Autzen Stadium from Portland on a game day. Unfortunately, and much to my dismay, I am not aware of any Park and Ride options. Also, parking will be a challenge for late arrival. There is a shuttle in Eugene to the stadium you may want to consider if you are able to make the game. https://goducks.com/sports/2011/6/21/205174790#shuttles About 2.5 hours before the game, the entire Duck team participates in the "March to Victory" from the Moshofsky Center (open to all ticket holders and next to Autzen). Your son would be able to see all of the Ducks, but not necessarily meet them. Immediately after the game, you could line up outisde the tunnel and watch the Duck players leave the Stadium. After the game, fans are allowed onto the field (after the players have cleared) for about 20 minutes or so. When my boys were that age, we loved throwing the football around and pretending to be Ducks. Go Ducks!!!

You're Dan Lanning: What Do YOU Want From Oregon on Saturday?
I like the idea of embarrassing the Beavers. But unlike you, I’m excited to go to the game! I’ll take your tickets. After 20+ years of season tickets, I am only able to go to a couple of games a year and as a graybeard, who has followed the Ducks for more than 5 decades, the Civil War still means something to me! Time to take care of the Rodents!
