Yes, they should. It's not easy for us Portlanders to get to Eugene. In the past 11 months, I have attended an event at a winery that featured Coach Lanning (and had a nice conversation with him) and a basketball "show case" at West Linn HS where the men's and women's teams had some competitions (and I was able to have a conversation with Coach Altman). Both events were well attended. I went to the new Portland campus to watch the Oregon Soar (Women's ultimate frisbee) and it would be nice to have more events there. In fact, there is a law school event at the end of May that I plan to attend. Bottom line: I think it would be both beneficial to UO and its' fans to have more events in Portland.
