  1. I admit it. I cried watching that video, thinking of the people in my life who I lost to cancer and my sister who is currently battling cancer. It was a good reminder that win or lose on Saturday (and we’re gonna win!), I am fortunate that I have my health and can enjoy watching college football without worrying about my next chemo treatment. F**k cancer! Go Ducks!!!
  2. Yes, Stewart was back in. Bonehead penalty on Pellum. Plus Dickey got his first catch.
  3. What a formation on that TD. Tuioti in motion with Connerly in the slot. Can’t wait to see what else comes out of that formation in the future.
  4. Clearly a PI on first play. Would’ve had 1st and 10 on the 40.
  5. 45-13 Ducks (beat Sparty by one more point than did OSU 2 4 307
  6. With the respect to some of the rotations, I believe that the coaches are planning for a loooooong season. If the Ducks make the B1G championship game and lose, and then go on a run in the playoffs to the finals, they could play an unprecedented 17 games. That's a lot of wear and tear and depth will be critical. And for the record, I'm not disappointed. I love victories, regardless of how pretty or how ugly. It's all about the "W" and OBD have yet to suffer a "L". Go Ducks!!!
  7. As the saying goes, the best “ability” is “availability!”
  8. Ducks 49-14 2 TO 5 sacks 307 Go Ducks!!!
  9. Yes, I would. Being on FOX late Saturday night > being on Pac 12 Network late Saturday night.
  10. As always, great analysis. Thank you. I remember watching in real time the second play you highlight and wishing James had cut to the right after getting to the second level. Watching it again, I feel even more certain that if James had done so, it would have been a huge gain (not that the yards he got weren't nice).
  11. 2085 will be the 60th anniversary of the Ducks first football championship! It will also be the year the Ducks secure their 20th such football championship (once every 3 years isn't too greedy, is it?).
  12. I've really enjoyed a lot of the games previously mentioned -- the 2002 Fiesta Bowl blowout of Colorado, the 2011 Rose Bowl win over Wisconsin (I got teary eyed in the stands) and the 2015 Rose Bowl win over Florida State. The 1997 win at Fusky Stadium and the 2006 win over Oklahoma also rank way up there for me. But I think my all-time favorite Duck victory is the 1990 win over the #4 ranked BYU Cougars. Very few people gave the Ducks any chance. The weather was perfect. The atmosphere was electric. The crowd was loud. B - Y - WHO??? B - Y - WHO??? The Ducks dominated and the post-game parties (I was 21 years old) were epic. Great memories.
  13. Bedford was in at the very end of the game for kneel downs by Moore.
  14. I just want to say Go Ducks!!! I’m confident the Ducks will prevail, but win or lose, they will ALWAYS be my team!
  15. Feeling optimistic. --the winner-- Ducks --the score -- 52-20 --the amount of turnovers Oregon creates -- 3 --the number of sacks Oregon records on the opposing team -- 3 --the number of passing yards by the Ducks. -- 303
  16. --the winner -- DUCKS! Massive improvement from week 1 to week 2 --the score -- 39-9 --the amount of turnovers Oregon creates -- 2 --the number of sacks Oregon records on the opposing team - 4 --the number of passing yards by the Ducks. -- 277
  17. Great analysis, Charles. Thank you! As an old former offensive tackle myself, it seemed to me that scheme was also a problem. I did not spend the time you did to break down the film, but watching the game live it seems as if OBD blocking scheme required the OL/TEs to often reach block and try and block Vandals that were slanting into the run. That's a tough ask. I'm not saying that there was not poor technique and communication. That is obvious from your analysis. For example, in the clip titled "backside sealing" #96 for the Vandals took a step in the wrong direction and Pickard could have easily blocked him and instead went to the play side (Pickard's right side) and #96 makes the play. It appears as if if Poncho is supposed to block #96, but that is a difficult task. In that same clip, notice that Ferguson has to reach block to the defensive end (and does a good job) lined up over Cornelius and Cornelius has to reach block to the defensive tackle that is lined up over Poncho and he is not successful. Again, in my opinion, that is a tough ask and I would prefer more straight up blocking or taking advantage of the angles and blocking back side. My $0.02. Go Ducks!!!
  18. I was on the fence, but now I have tickets to tomorrow's game so no Peacock for me! Also, I spent last Saturday afternoon setting up YouTube TV so I can now tell Comcrap good riddance!
  19. I am a neanderthal when it comes to this stuff, but won't we also need ESPN to watch OBD in the playoffs?
  20. Thanks Charles! About 15-20 years ago, I went to a OU v Nebraska game at Lincoln. A few observations: 1). I didn’t get the impression Memorial Stadium was significantly larger than Autzen. Larger for sure, but there was so little space for your rear end (which is how I believe the capacity is so much more). 2). I felt like I was at a church watching the game. I wore my bright yellow Haloti Ngata jersey and stood up to encourage the Husker D to make a goal line stand. People told me to sit down. I couldn’t believe the lack of noise compared to Autzen. 3). The people are extremely nice. Made lots of friends tailgating and at the bars after the game. But maybe a little too nice. After the Sooners won, the crowd gave a golf clap to Stoops as he jogged off the field. I promised my new Husker friends that Neuweasel would not receive such a friendly reception.
  21. I was at that game. Great memories of taunting Fusky fans (who were yapping at us all game) as they exited the stadium.
  22. Wow! Me neither! Only team without a weakness? Question for our Georgia friends: Is Georgia’s D-Line really a weakness? Chuckled when I saw the Buckeyes’ weakness. Go Ducks!!!
  23. Yes I was! Great player and great person.
