You posted the nicer ones, Charles. There were some pretty sick posts attacking Mohammed personally, and of course Phil Knight. Stay classy Huskies.

I LOLed at one of the posts criticizing transfers in general, given the only reason that Washington was good the last two years was because of a transfer QB.

And they forget that Muhammad himself was a transfer in to UW from Okla St. Lol. Hypocrisy at its finest.

  2. Yah.  My point was he is not a great recruiter.

I agree he has shown he can get the most out of his players (if one 2023 season is a proper sample size).  That said, before 2023 his head coaching record was 7-22.

It was not a deep Oklahoma roster they beat.  Top 2 QBs opted out (including Gabriel😀), RB, key Oline, S.

    Arizona was missing zero starters.

  3. Similar analysis of 247’s average individual Transfer Portal recruiting rank in Pac12.

    Arizona is:

    2022: 9th of 12

    2023: 9th of 12

2024: 8th of 11 (Stanford has no portal transfers so excluded them).

This is barely above UCLA, Beavs, and Cougs.   And a tad below ASU.

    Not great.

  4. Using 247’s recruiting rankings Arizona’s average individual High School recruit rating (not total recruiting points which factors # of signees), here is how Arizona ranked in the Pac12.

    2022: 6th of 12

    2023: 11th of 12 (beat the Cougs)

2024: 10th of 12 (beat the Cougs and Beavs)

    Not great.

  5. This is my current fav from the UW Board:

”Losing on Monday felt like a punch in the gut. DeBoer leaving today felt like a slap in the face. Every player decommitting or hitting the portal feels like a kick in the crotch.

It’s like we were in an elevator to the top of the world, about to step out of it on Monday night. Then somebody cut the cable and we’re in freefall.”

At this point Norvell has the biggest motive to want the job. FSU just got sanctioned yesterday for recruiting violations.

This may be why Deboer leapfrogs Norvell.  Bama will not want to be associated with this. Nowhere near it.

Listening to the video, even on Game Day, he told them he was not leaving Oregon which was before Saban's announcement

Exactly!  And it was in a reply to a direct comment from Herbstreit to Dan that he’s top guy to replace Saban when he leaves.

Dan already decided Oregon is the better place and showed his Loyalty.

Does not matter whether he was actually offered or not.

  8. My hunch feels Norvell or Sark over Deboer.   And it comes down to recruiting.

With the news shared today the Bama NIL is not turnkey for the new coach via leaning on Bama and the name Saban basically recruiting itself, it feels they want/need a proven recruiter.  Not just high schoolers but portal guys, and a guy to retain existing Bama players.

Deboer is not even in the same ballpark as the other 2 despite the wins.

Dan Lanning details reasons to stay at Oregon following Alabama rumors

Great Full video if you weren't able to see it.

Gold nugget in that Pat McAfee Show video when Pat brought up a discussion last weekend on the GameDay set during a commercial break of the Natty.  Herbie brought up to Dan that he’s a top guy to replace Saban when Nick leaves.  Dan immediately told them he is staying at Oregon and why.

Whether Dan was offered the Bama job/interview or not or if they talked to him while in Houston (and we may never know), it doesn’t matter.  He had previously decided Oregon is the place to be.
