  1. This win, and it being the last game against Arizona as conference mates, brought back connected memories of those sweet defeats of the Wildcats at Mac Court when they were top ranked. Something about Ducks stomping cats.
  2. And they forget that Muhammad himself was a transfer in to UW from Okla St. Lol. Hypocrisy at its finest.
  3. Sources - Jim Harbaugh accepts head coaching job with Chargers - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM Jim Harbaugh is leaving the Michigan Wolverines to accept the head coaching job with the Los Angeles Chargers, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Hopefully is good for Herbert and Oregon (pending any coaching poaching)
  4. Thank you Bo. Class, character, competitor.
  5. Source -- Arizona hires San Jose State's Brent Brennan - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM Arizona has agreed to a five-year deal to make San Jose State's Brent Brennan the school's next football coach, according to a source.
  6. Yah. My point was he is not a great recruiter. I agree he has shown he can get the most out of his players (if one 2023 season is a proper sample size). That said, before 2023 his head coaching record was 7-22. It was not a deep Oklahoma roster they beat. Top 2 QBs opted out (including Gabriel), RB, key Oline, S. Arizona was missing zero starters.
  7. Similar analysis of 247’s average individual Transfer Portal recruiting rank in Pac12. Arizona is: 2022: 9th of 12 2023: 9th of 12 2024: 8th of 11 (Stanford has no portal transfers so excluded them). This is barely above UCLA, Beavs, and Cougs. And a tad below ASU. Not great.
  8. Using 247’s recruiting rankings Arizona’s average individual High School recruit rating (not total recruiting points which factors # of signees), here is how Arizona ranked in the Pac12. 2022: 6th of 12 2023: 11th of 12 (beat the Cougs) 2024: 10th of 12 (beat the Cougs and Beavs) Not great.
  9. This is my current fav from the UW Board: ”Losing on Monday felt like a punch in the gut. DeBoer leaving today felt like a slap in the face. Every player decommitting or hitting the portal feels like a kick in the crotch. It’s like we were in an elevator to the top of the world, about to step out of it on Monday night. Then somebody cut the cable and we’re in freefall.”
  10. Sources: Washington's DeBoer agrees to become next Alabama coach - ESPN WWW.ESPN.COM Washington's Kalen DeBoer, who guided the Huskies to a spot in the College Football Playoff National Championship game this past season, has agreed to a deal to become the next head coach at...
  11. Good details here. https://www.on3.com/college/alabama-crimson-tide/news/pete-thamel-kalen-deboer-told-washington-hes-likely-to-take-alabama-head-coach-job/
  12. This may be why Deboer leapfrogs Norvell. Bama will not want to be associated with this. Nowhere near it.
  13. Exactly! And it was in a reply to a direct comment from Herbstreit to Dan that he’s top guy to replace Saban when he leaves. Dan already decided Oregon is the better place and showed his Loyalty. Does not matter whether he was actually offered or not.
  14. My hunch feels Norvell or Sark over Deboer. And it comes down to recruiting. With the news shared today the Bama NIL is not turnkey for the new coach via leaning on Bama and the name Saban basically recruiting itself, it feels they want/need a proven recruiter. Not just high schoolers but portal guys, and a guy to retain existing Bama players. Deboer is not even in the same ballpark as the other 2 despite the wins.
  15. Gold nugget in that Pat McAfee Show video when Pat brought up a discussion last weekend on the GameDay set during a commercial break of the Natty. Herbie brought up to Dan that he’s a top guy to replace Saban when Nick leaves. Dan immediately told them he is staying at Oregon and why. Whether Dan was offered the Bama job/interview or not or if they talked to him while in Houston (and we may never know), it doesn’t matter. He had previously decided Oregon is the place to be.
  16. How about these? Sark or Deboer to Bama or Sark to Bama then Deboer to Texas or Kiffin to Bama and DT Nolan switches to UO I don’t feel Kiffin. Dabo before him.
  17. Like I said last night in the other now locked thread, the whole rumor/sources felt like a smokescreen. Bama would not be that sloppy. Byrne is pure stealth. Also, makes sense for Dan to stay.
