New Recruiting Strategy Explains Football Recruiting for 2026?
AllOregon replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
At this stage, quality is focus vs quantity in the “scores”. Avg grade, UO is #4. Things will shift. Take Bama who is #41 overall as that score includes quantity. But quality avg grade they are #2. This is like saying a baseball team ahead at the bottom of the 2nd inning is gonna always win. -
Clark was also forced into 10 turnovers (Sabrina had NONE). Not the kind of triple double to write home about…

Ducks Get a Super Regional! Oregon 10 Stanford 7

So many twists and turns, and this Ducks team DOES NOT GIVE UP. Stanford went up 4-0 on a first inning grand slam by Economides after Ducks dropped a 2 out pop fly. UO’s Flannery then hits a 3 run blast in 2nd inning to make it 4-3. Economides gets makes her Stanford RBI total 7 with a 3rd inning 3 run dinger. 7-3 Furd. UO’s Cox hits 2 run HR to atone for her earlier 2 out dropped pop fly. 7-5 Furd Ducks start chipping away. Ke. Luschar gets on board from a swinging strike 3, after advancing from a few hitters, comes around to score after a passed ball then an interference play at the plate even though throw beat her . Houston is removed from game, best pitcher in the stadium at the time. 7-6 Furd after 5. Patmon triples to right to open the Ducks’ 6th. After 2 strikeouts, Kai Luschar speeds out an infield single to tie it. 7-7. Ducks get out of a 2 runner jam in 7th. Huge tip of the cap to Chambers for 4.1 innings of 2 hit no run ball. UO’s Sinicki singles with 1 out in 7th. Steals 2nd then advances to 3rd after throwing error. Stanford intentionally walks Cox. Then Patmon blasts a walk off 3 Run HR to advance the Ducks to the Super Regional 10-7. I believe UO is now 41-0 when hitting an HR. Since Liberty upset #1 seed Texas A&M, word is Ducks will host Liberty. -

NCAA Men's Tourney: Ducks Pour it On the Flames 81-52
AllOregon replied to 30Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I attended the evening session. Great result and Oregon had fun, with things to clean-up: offensive off ball fouls, securing the ball, not a lot of offense box out rebounds. When starters were pulled, they really had fun watching the deep bench back ups playing and scoring. You could see this team is tight and supports each other. Not as high a % of Duck fans as I expected, there were more from Arizona. And while Oregon fans cheered for Arizona in the first game, the Arizona fans booed Oregon loudly. I felt that to be poor form. UW fans also added to the booing as expected. But many were incognito. Their UW gear hidden under coats as if embarrassed to rep their team (last place finishes in 18 team conference do that). Laughable that the booing stopped after that 18-2 opening salvo and the cat and dog fans shut up rest of the way. Arizona looked REALLY GOOD. They make the open and contested 3s that Liberty bricked. Have good inside paint offensive presence. Ducks can win but will be a big challenge. The Duck was great as usual. At a TV timeout he played “mud” by wrapping his seated legs and arms around a security guard’s ankles who had to be positioned on the court. Stayed there the whole time-out. So funny. -
Bittle's Career Day Powers Oregon over Washington 80-73 in OT

Paid $2M to lead UW to last place in B1G. Great Osobor announces transfer to Washington, where $2M in NIL is reportedly waiting for him SPORTS.YAHOO.COM Great Osobor will end up spending all four years of his college career playing under head coach Danny Sprinkle, who was hired by Washington in March. -

7 wins in a row vs the puppies! -
And thankfully they also lose their senior QB Tommy Mollett to using up his eligibility. He was that team. 195 yards passing, 135 rushing. 3 total TDs. Fast and good arm. Only other contributors gave 38 yards and 27 yards rushing, respectively (on 22 shared carries). Defense did not impress. Not worried about the Fall.

Duck QB Signee Sagapolutele to Enter Transfer Portal
AllOregon replied to DrJacksPlaidPants's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Wish him the best. But sure feels he saw what Dante and others can do and was exposed to the work expectations. -
The 4 bye teams gave up 85 of the first 91 points, all in losses. Say that out loud. Not a fluke. That is clear evidence that Rust matters. Even NFL does max 2 week byes in the NFL playoffs (and that team gets a home game).

Just brutal, it is sad. But vindicates the 2 UO coaching staffs who indicated he is not the guy. Tulane had 2 former 5 stars at WR including Mario Williams, yet Ty was beyond ineffective, missing wide open guys. Still looks dazed and confused, not able to process defenses nor go through progressions correctly. He should accept Tulane coach’s offer to stay and be the occasional wildcat Tayson Hill role as a back- up. This “ showcase” start just scared away even any legit group of 5 team looking at Ty in the portal.

Good for him!

Oregon QB Recruiting Strategy: ALWAYS Go Portal?
AllOregon replied to FishDuck Article's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
I do feel a top notch portal QB has to always be part of the strategy, along with HS recruiting. But also only if there is a match. Currently, not much in portal. Was not over the moon for Mateer and he followed his O coach to Sooners today. Maybe after bowls and player interest.
