The only transfer I'd be interested in is a healthy Cam Rising if he's able to swing another year. That guy is a freaking baller
A more apt name is Cam Falling. No thanks, too CONSISTENTLY hurt. Even my Utah buddies want to move on from him.

That author writes, “a quibble could be offered that the Ducks didn’t square up with much quality opposition beyond Ohio State at Autzen Stadium”
Why is nobody mentioning Oregon is the only team to play and beat 3 different playoff teams?! And beating #4 in playoff rankings while ~2000 miles from home is not quality opposition?!
Its like they don’t pay attention on purpose.

Fan Duel odds changed to reflect the unbalanced seeding with Texas being put on Cotton Bowl side of bracket despite losing (and National Championship being in Georgia).
Georgia +360
Texas +360
Oregon +380
Ohio St +500
3 of those on same side of bracket.

I took a moment to think back to that 1995 Rose Bowl against #2 Penn State, simply being happy to even be in that environment. And now we beat them and expected to win, going undefeated winning their conference. How far the ducks have come…still more to achieve.

His nose was so far up Penn St’s butt he could smell what they had for lunch. Poor form.

Great teams find a way when not everything is working right. This team did that. And despite not playing it’s best, the D did get two clutch picks to seal this.
The O reminded me of Chip‘s. Felt they could do anything they needed.

It feels this will look different after this weekend.
Just focus on winning B1G.
That said, this easily looks like a bracket set up with North side getting B1G into final and south side getting SEC into final. Top teams from each league are on same side of each other’s bracket.
The 2 Power brokers at work to ensure each gets into Natty.

Big Ten Sideline Sports Network account labels this as #2 vs #4. Hmm, someone call the marketing and communications departments.

10 sacks against a very mobile QB. D was beastly. Glad the O got rolling again, and agree still not an A game for them. Plenty of growth available. Honestly, relatively vanilla play calling since Ducks ran down their throats. Hardly any long shot needed or used. Yes Holden had one for 39 but was mostly run after catch. TFerg for 21 but was on a Free play due to offsides. Rolling up 49 with foot on the brakes was pretty cool. Besting Huskies again, always cool.

Oregon WR Tez Johnson, shoulder, expected to return this year - ESPN
WWW.ESPN.COM
Oregon wide receiver Tez Johnson's shoulder injury is not a season-ender and he is expected to return to action at some point this year, sources told ESPN's Pete Thamel. -
And, the D did this without it’s best player in Burch the last 2 games!
Overall, UO has much to improve on, which should be scary to other teams.
Ducks have had A grade results without yet playing an A game, in my opinion.
Clean up the missed open receivers, the dropped passes, kicking game, dumb penalties, and tackling on D. Lord pity the team that sees our A game.

I actually thought maybe Lanning thought of this while watching hoops. The team that is ahead by 3 with few seconds left and fouls the other team to not let a 3 point shot occur. It is not without its risks, but…
Pretty sure a buckeye coach did that once or twice…
-
I read this topic as I watched a basketball team intentionally commit fouls with 10 seconds left in the game to legally attempt to win a game. Which happens in many if not most close basketball games at all levels.
I told my wife, “same thing.” Magically, she agrees.

Over at "Eleven Warriors" they're still going on about the "second" & there's this:
Upon review that was a very bad call against Jeremiah Smith with 26 seconds left. The problem being the ball was NOT in the air at that instant so there can't be pass interference - home cooking. Just stop the video at 26 seconds - the ball clearly was still in Howard's hands SMDH
You’d think blue blood buckeyes would know the rules, or at least self-police or correct in their own forums.
It was easily PI per below definition.
Per NCAA rule book 2024 source file:
“Offensive pass interference occurs when an offensive player:
Blocks Downfield: Engages in blocking downfield before the ball is touched when the pass is beyond the line of scrimmage.
Pushes Off: Initiates contact with a defender to create separation in an attempt to catch a pass.”-

Homer national journalists should have no place. Too much misinformation.
And Oregon was more harmed by bad luck and refs. Missed more execution (botched kick holds, missed open WR for TD, etc). This was a 10 point Oregon expected win rate. Oregon had higher ceiling. Just needs to quit hurting itself.
On the refs: that was clearly tOSU offensive PI push off to gain an advantage of space, textbook call.
But they missed the opening drive interception for 7 point swing and wrongly calling ineligible UO receiver/formation cover up on a good gain. Lanning said UO submitted that play to league and was informed refs indeed got it wrong.
Report that.

Ok, needed all night to celebrate and let the blood pressure calm down. My takes:
1. Lanning does win big games.
2. Lanning and staff out coached Day and Chip.
3. Speaking of which, UO still undefeated vs Chip. 5-0. Keep him coming.
4. Coaching can still improve: don’t save a first half time out on that first drive non-called interception by not challenging it or taking timeout to look longer/give replay official more time to evaluate. Big miss = 7 points.
5. UO killed it on national stage. A+ on College GameDay, Autzen crowd noise (which was worth at least 3 points). Huge marketing boost which the win only amplifies for years to come with recruits.
6. UO has the talent to beat anyone. Even missing Burch for 4 quarters and Holden for 3. DG is elite.
7. TEs can do better. So can short yardage must-make play calling and execution. Not elite.
8. We beat Ohio St AGAIN!
9. Fine line between cocky and arrogant. See Holden. Did hear he was beyond distraught with his own behavior so much they had to have his dad come down from the stands to locker room. Big team lesson.
10. Remember when we were worried about the OLine?! Lol

2nd win in a row for Bo.

The new teams in SUC/SLACK 12 got only 1 win yesterday. And it was Boise crushing WAZZU.

Not talking about blocking improvement needed on the OLine is the best part. Could have gotten A grade if they clean up the procedure penalties in red zone.
Receiving talent can step up more, too many dropped passes (including TEs here mainly Herbert).Besides James, need another RB to be productive. Noah and Lamar seem pedestrian. Home run threats?
Play calling: still feels Stein is holding back, hopefully intentionally for later like Chip used to do.
DEF: studs. Reed got picked on, need to see how team adjusts or if injury recovery from others helps soon
I keep asking this: WHAT is going on with Jurrion Dickey? We had been told he’d be good to play in September from the spring game leg injury. We also heard he was crushing it in camp. He is crickets now.
