  1. Charles said, "this new Mint defense capitalizes upon deception and unpredictability for its success in holding down scoring and creating turnovers." It's going to be exciting to see the havoc created by out-thinking opponents with pressure, mistakes, and turnovers. No more successful third and 19 being converted by an opponent! I love giving recognition to Coach Aliotti! Coach Nick is an Oregon legend. IMHO, with him as head coach and Helfrich as Offensive Coordinator, Oregon wouldn't have experienced the decline when Chip Kelly left.
  2. Fun read Drex! I love the "flight on" - please keep 'em coming. I'm glad I wasn't sipping my coffee when I read, "Where the legend lives on from the Chippewa on down Of the big lake they called Gitchee Gumee. The lake, it is said, never gives up her dead When the skies of November turn gloomy." Great burn on the University of Spoiled Children. Thank you!
  3. Not only will scheme be different with Coach Dillingham, but Coach Klemm brings a whole lot of experience to coaching up the O line. In my humble opinion a major upgrade from Mr. Physicality and Mini- Me!
  4. Awesome runs, catches, and ferocious hits! Great Oregon football players and coaches. Go Ducks!
  5. What's your "Most Memorable Fictional College Sports Program"? My favorite was " Waterboy". I laughed constantly during the movie. MSN has an article about this that I couldn't copy and post. But in the article there was a fictional movie I never saw, but sounds like our infamous backstabbing University of Spoiled Children. The team was the "University of Los Angeles Peacocks"!
  6. Kudos for a wonderful spoof on those backstabbers from LA. I enjoyed every well deserved burn! Thanks Alan!
  7. Ducks make interesting transition to game prep. Football Practice Report: Aug. 25 - University of Oregon Athletics GODUCKS.COM The Ducks are making the transition from preseason camp to game prep as this week comes to a close.
  8. Defender #2 DJ Johnson defeats TE block by #89 Tyler Nanney. He could have had a shot at the RB but had turned his shoulders too much and was late. Spring game with divided teams! I'm sure coaching points will be addressed and starting TE's will do better. Lots of plays can be developed off this look. Can't wait for Dillingham's explosive offense to run up and down the field!
  9. U$C @ OSU Beavers, I usually root for the beaver except when they play our beloved Ducks. I will continue to root for all U$C opponents.
  10. I agree with Wrathis, blitz all night long!. Let havoc rain! Blitz from every angle!
  11. Fall Ball Takeaway: Ducks wake up early for 16th practice of fall camp DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM The return of both Jackson Powers-Johnson and Kawika Rogers marks a big development for Oregon’s OL. That and other takeaways from Tuesday’s practice:
  12. Ouch! The truth hurts! Yet, it was only the last 4 years that the shackles were put on the offensive coordinators. Even (the snake) recognized the talent of Herbert. 49 points a game until his injury. Thank you Miami boosters for ending our misery! I agree with Notalot, those times are in the rearview mirror. Quarterback U is returning! Thanks for the great article Drex!
  13. The advertising is tasteful and not intrusive. It's not going to be a problem for me.
  14. Another great article DazeNConfused! A championship quality game to start the season. Your coaching predictions are quality caliber. Here's hoping Our Beloved Ducks put it all together!
  15. Funny! However, my father-in-law taught his daughter to love watching football. I never had to talk her into watching the game. She loves our beloved Ducks as much as I do. Go Ducks!
  16. JJ extremely quick feet and ability to change direction in micro-seconds. Great vision to see lanes as they are beginning to open. Jeremiah Johnson, one of Oregon's top notch running backs!
  17. And San Diego State. These two are a must.
  18. A talented athlete going from middle school to high school finds that seeking ways to improve leads to success. It is sad to see an athlete who thinks they already have it perfected. The same is true for the transitions HS to college and college to the pros. Being "Addicted to Success" depends upon wanting to improve and taking input from any and all sources. Charles said, "Wanting the players to be 'Addicted to Success,' is quite the mind-set that the Oregon coaches want to develop at Oregon." I am impressed that this is becoming the Culture of Our Beloved Ducks!
  19. Mr. FishDuck, excellent article today on our coaches. I too am looking forward to adjustments during the game - especially after halftime! Charles said, "The in-game adjustments from the sideline bodes well this year, and these comments point to exciting times coming on the offensive side of the football." The daily improvement preached to the players is also practiced by the coaches. The shared expertise and willingness to work together shows this staff is a tight team!
  20. Pennsylvania Duck and Tandaian each posted articles yesterday morning from different sources that covered the same information. I agree with you that Coach DL is teaching expectations and doing it well.
  21. "You got to learn how to be poised," Taimani said. "We kind of learned our lesson today; we were a little aggressive today, so we ran a little. It's how we practice is how he wants us to play in the game. He doesn't want any of the smack talking, extra stuff; he wants us to have clean practices because how we practice will translate into the game." Taki is a fun guy to listen to. Full of experience and humble. He's a good addition to Team Havoc. It will be nice to see poised defenders making a great tackle, a great play, and then hustling back to get ready to do it again. No more smack talking, pounding chests, and showboating! Dan Lanning is teaching! Dan Lanning is in charge! Go Ducks!
  22. Let's play ball! Can't wait for the season to start. DNC you've written another great article. Thank you, thank you! I can't see any weak area of defense. Depth and waves of talented aggressive Ducks creating havoc on offenses. Go Ducks!
  23. Outstanding interviews! You can feel the Duck Brotherhood being built. It's going to be a great season! These are amazing young men representing the University of Oregon well! Go Ducks!
