  1. I believe Our Oregon coaches are doing a fantastic job of teaching! Coach Lanning emphasis on getting better 1% every play in practice and during games is becoming part of this team's DNA! That's good teaching!
  2. Mr. FishDuck has told me several times, A first down at the end of the game is as good as a touchdown. So proud of the offense to take time off the clock and get several first downs on their last drive!
  3. The more I see Irving the more I like! Too bad Cardwell was out with injury. Great that we have a stocked running back room! Irving has good vision and quicks. I simply love his ability to change direction, shift laterally, and gain extra yards! Obviously he's worked on improving his hands catching passes since the Georgia game. All around, I think he's showing that he deserves the starting role. By the way, Jordan James is a stud. Showed some toughness in his carries the first half. Good showing for the true freshman!
  4. Explosive plays. Stuffed the BYU runs. Big runs by Irving! YES!
  5. Best wishes for a speedy recovery and return to good health DNC! Hallelujah! Coach Lanning and Coach Dillingham have brought back the QB under center for a short yardage play. Wow! That is so much better than a pistol back 7 yards deep getting tackled for a 2 yard loss. So many options that a defense can't pack it in tight. In the formation shown they have to protect against a power sweep in either direction plus play action pass for instance. Great sense of humor. “...in the end Charles, you are just a petty little tyrant.” “I take offense to that, as I am NOT little!” Touche Charles, well done!
  6. Oregon 34 BYU 28 2 TO 3 Sacks 235 yards passing
  7. It helps that I have a fiber optic connection in my neighborhood.
  8. Everything was perfect for my viewing! No problems.
  9. Tweets appear on my fire kindle. Uniform pics are "sweet" today!
  10. Thank you DazeNConfused! Your 5 keys to the game are critical. Your points are very descriptive. You said, "Lanning has implemented a plan to coach his players up and address those issues.". The key word in that quote was " up". Coach Dan Lanning is coaching his team. Positive teaching to help his players improve! Who wouldn't run through a wall for that kind of man.
  11. Another source for the story! Pac-12 survival: Amazon's Thursday night NFL broadcast could be a peek into the Pac-12's future WWW.KSL.COM The digital media giant is a potential partner for the conference. Annual revenue earnings for Amazon is $469.822B.
  12. Amazon streaming could be the answer to generating more revenue for Pac-12 universities. According to Jon Wilmer, he was told, “It’s smart,” a second source said. “They could get more money relative to their real media value with Amazon.” Another news article I read reported that Amazon wants to dominate college football in the Western half of the USA. Tonight starts the Thursday Night NFL season that Amazon paid the NFL a billion dollars. Amazon supposedly has net worth of 1.2 trillion. In other words they have lots of cash! Sources tell Jon Wilner that George Kliavkoff is making a serious run at Amazon WWW.MSN.COM Is this surprising? No. Is it important? Yes. Jon Wilner of The Wilner Hotline has been informed by multiple sources in the media industry...
  13. I agree with cartm25, it helps a RB to get into a rhythm and get his body into game condition. Not giving the defense a situational "tell" is another benefit of 2 playing instead of a committee of 5. My two cents worth: Cardwell (40%), and Dollars (40%). Then Irving (10%) and Whittington (10%) to provide a rest for fresh legs or in case of injury to first two. In case of blow out in 2nd half rest Cardwell &Dollars and let the other 4 take turns. Both Cardwell and Dollars run strong and fast. Both have good hands for receiving passes out of backfield. This makes them my two favorites. Last season playing behind Verdell and Dye, Cardwell had 61 attempts running the ball averaging 6.8 yards per carry. In the Colorado game he ran for 127 yards. One of those showed his speed at hitting the hole and running for 34 yards. He's had very few chances to demonstrate his speed. Last year because of MC's staff. This year, my opinion is, Dollars and Cardwell need more opportunities.

  16. Wow! Wow! Your best writing so far. You get better each week. Thank you Alan for making my morning! Let's Go Ducks, get those Normal School Savages. Er, I mean the EW Field Mouse Killers!
  17. Oregon 42-21 TO 2 Sacks 4 Passing yards 250
  18. Two backs like Lamichael James and Kenyon Barner! I feel Cardwell and Dollars fit this description. The others would be good insurance in case of injury.
  19. I would agree the quantity needs to improve. However, you can't complain about the quality! Josh Connerly, Dave Iuli, Michael Wooten, Sir Mells, and Kawika Rogers bring talent and size to the OL.
  20. Thanks Eric for the analysis! Good teaching. I'm sure there are complimentary plays to this base play. RB pass to backside WR getting behind an aggressive safety for example.
  21. Your link doesn't work. I found the article on ESPN, but when I tried to link it I had no success. Is it a subscription content?
  22. David said, "They were unpleasant to experience for fans, coaches and players alike — but the team learned major lessons from those games." I agree with this. It is best to learn these lessons earlier with a young team. The teaching that is occurring now will result in more growth. Ownership of this in practice will better serve the players in games. Saban and Smart credit the Derecruitment of "stars" in their successful programs. The Georgia loss is a major attention getter in this process. I have faith that Oregon's coaches are doing this as they teach our talented young Ducks!
  23. Watching this video gives me hope that our line and our running game will have a great season. Georgia's pass defense is awesome. Coach Dillingham has some good concepts run and pass. Oregon made some good yardage running against Georgia. Oregon coaches and players will be studying a lot of film. Improvement of the offense from game 1 to game 2 will be major! Go Ducks!
  24. Criticism of your players by a coach is best done with the team in practice - not in front of a microphone to the world!
  25. It's hard when you prepare to face last year's offense, and then the new Georgia TE Air Raid passing offense shows up! Opportunity to teach! I too would like to see less musical chairs with the running backs. Fresh legs is great but play your top two more - Byron Cardwell and Sean Dollars! Mar’Keise Irving started and had five carries for 13 yards; Sean Dollars had four carries for 33 yards; Byron Cardwell had four for 28; Noah Whittington had three for 14; and Jordan James had seven for 15. Thanksfor a great pep talk and focus for next week!
