  1. Pennsylvania Duck and Tandaian each posted articles yesterday morning from different sources that covered the same information. I agree with you that Coach DL is teaching expectations and doing it well.
  2. "You got to learn how to be poised," Taimani said. "We kind of learned our lesson today; we were a little aggressive today, so we ran a little. It's how we practice is how he wants us to play in the game. He doesn't want any of the smack talking, extra stuff; he wants us to have clean practices because how we practice will translate into the game." Taki is a fun guy to listen to. Full of experience and humble. He's a good addition to Team Havoc. It will be nice to see poised defenders making a great tackle, a great play, and then hustling back to get ready to do it again. No more smack talking, pounding chests, and showboating! Dan Lanning is teaching! Dan Lanning is in charge! Go Ducks!
  3. Let's play ball! Can't wait for the season to start. DNC you've written another great article. Thank you, thank you! I can't see any weak area of defense. Depth and waves of talented aggressive Ducks creating havoc on offenses. Go Ducks!
  4. Outstanding interviews! You can feel the Duck Brotherhood being built. It's going to be a great season! These are amazing young men representing the University of Oregon well! Go Ducks!
  5. 90% of what I want to read on the oregonlive site is locked. It's funny when they do that and I read the same information on another site that is open with no restrictions.
  6. Coach Dillingham, "We want to keep guys fresh that way at the end of the game. We have fresh legs. So I mean, the more running backs you have, the better," Meaningful reps from more backs not only means fresh legs for the 4th quarter, but all backs get developed. Morale is boosted! Practices are better and buy-in to the total program is better.
  7. Interview videos are awesome today! Dilly - energy and "fresh legs". Who wouldn't love to play for him. Fun! JPJ - love his attitude " I just want to play!" Caleb Chapman - maturity and experience! I appreciate how coaches and players talk about teaching and taking it to the field!
  8. I agree with you Charles. No hyperbole when looking at the depth of talent. I can add that our defensive coordinator, Tosh Lupoi, will be aggressive. The 2022 Ducks, with Dan Lanning as head coach, will match the exciting offense. The coaching staff will turn this talent loose and create Havoc! No more wide open receivers in the middle of the field. No more third and 19 converted for first downs! Go Ducks!
  9. I'm just glad corch No O Mari is in Miami (and not in Eugene)! Go Ducks!
  10. DazeNConfused, you describe the answer to my dreams! With our talent, with our history, that's what I have craved for the last 4 years. Hope springs eternal. Here's hoping for Coach Dillingham's success. Go, high flying Ducks!
  11. Even Saban changed to modern offensive schemes and let his Offensive Coordinators open up the offense! He also in one championship game benched the starter and put in the backup! Would Mari (no O) ever do that?
  12. “It doesn’t matter what I know,” Lanning told reporters. “It’s about what our players know… I’m going to play zero snaps for the University of Oregon this year.” Great teaching going on at the UO!
  13. Welcome to Our Beloved Duck Forum! You knocked the proverbial ball out of the park. Thank you, Drex, your writing is a joy to read! There are so many phrases that caused me to go "Wow!" over and over! Your wordsmithing is the best! I loved everything you had to say! As we said back in the 70's, "Keep on trucking!"
  14. Per Haywarduck comment on strength. One of the guys on my daughter's squad at Oregon used to be an offensive tackle. He had to give up football because of a neck injury. He would lift a female cheerleader in each hand and they would stand on his hand in that pose above his head with both his arms extended. That was strength!
  15. "Ducks Do More" one of many good ideas DL has on his mind since his hiring! Oregon enters fall camp with goals in mind 247SPORTS.COM Fall camp opens up Friday for the Oregon Duck football program and new Oregon head football coach Dan Lanning admitted he's waking up...
  16. My daughter was a cheerleader for 4 years during the Bellotti years. My wife and I supported her time at Oregon. Cheerleaders spend many hours practicing and work very hard! In addition to pregame activities and games they participate in fundraising events, work at golf tournaments, and countless hours at bowl games. I agree that new outfits (Nike designed) and dance routines are a generational thing. Including them in pictures of football is ok with me!
  17. The road begins Friday. Yet the preparation began this Spring, throughout the summer with strength and conditioning, and team-building activities all summer. I'm looking forward to watching player and coach interviews each day during camp! We have awesome players with great work ethic and character. Great to listen to their point of view! Football is coming! Go Ducks!
  18. McdDuck posted this yesterday. Great hire!
  19. I went ahead and started a subscription. The Register Guard does have great photographers and is a good source for Duck news!
  20. I looked again and it says I must create a free account to read this story and then read articles that are not subscribers only.

  22. I'm trusting in Coach Locklyn! Running Back Coach will get'er done!
  23. The best kickoff defense is a touchback! Lewis needs to improve on his 35 of 79 KO's last year. Alex Bales and Andrew Boyle incoming transfers are kickoff specialists! Competition should insure improvement in KO's. Hutson and McGee will be exciting replacements at Kick and Punt Return!
  24. This is a definite area of needed improvement! The previous staff were underwhelming coaching special teams. Will Oregon football's special teams be special? PAMPLINMEDIA.COM New coaching staff, new approach put emphasis on the kicking game as an area where Oregon can improve.
  25. Alex wrote, "At the end of the day, I want to see the win column measure up to the lofty expectations Lanning has. But it wouldn’t hurt to jump out of my seat here and there along the way." I agree Alex, an exciting offense will be great to watch again! But I have to say it will be a running back leading the scorers. Thanks for sharing this article!
