  1. I know that after watching Dan Lanning speak at 2 Grouped Award dinners I think this is the best coach for Oregon football! James Crepea - watch both speeches in this article! https://www.oregonlive.com/ducks/2021/12/oregon-ducks-hiring-georgia-defensive-coordinator-dan-lanning-per-source.html Fantastic man, high energy, family values, and well respected. Players love him! Knows how to teach! Head coaches he worked for endorse his talent to coach!
  2. Thanks 30Duck. You do a great job of keeping us informed! Thanks!
  3. Thank you 1Ducker1
  4. If they could coach up 3 stars to perform well just imagine a 4 or 5 star being coached up! It seems that Oregon in the last 4 Cristobal years were coached down and held back with the Plodding Pistol and conservative boring offense! I prefer someone who can make players better. The Oregon line this year and last still can't pass block!
  5. My vote (opinion) is for long term stability. Wilcox and Oregon alums are Ducks, and they know their x's and o's. Given the resources - facilities and support - that Oregon has I believe they will be a major improvement for Oregon football! Splashy will continue this cycle of drama and harm every 2 to 3 years!
  6. No thank you for any of the coaches in the article! I personally would like to have an Oregon group of coaches - Wilcox, Musgrave, and Sirmon! With all the resources available at Oregon these over achievers would soar! Kelly, Taggart, and Cristobal were all relatively unknown before coming to Oregon. Oregon made them known nationally. These 3 Duck alums are experienced coaches who know football. They know how to coach up their players and be competitive.
  7. I appreciate your optimism David. There are a lot of good young players on the Oregon team. Much to look forward to in the coming seasons! However your article raises a question that very few have addressed. INJURIES. Yes football is a physical game. Oregon has had a huge number of injuries. Is this an excuse? Or are the injuries unavoidable? A lot of injuries occur in practice. Some of those during non-contact. Question 1 - are Oregon practices too physical? I think I remember Pete Carroll practices were know for less physicality. Do Oregon players get so beat up in practice they are more susceptible to injury? Some practices need physicality; but to what degree? Question 2 - do the strength and conditioning sessions prepare the player's bodies for football? Or do the sessions wear out the bodies making them more injury prone? I simply don't remember these kind of numbers of injuries when Jim Radcliff was in charge. Does anyone know? This facet of the program is something the head coach or Athletic Director should examine.
  8. You're right about the front 6, d line and Sewell are playing their hearts out! But our pass defense is bend and break. Anytime Utah needs a pass - our db's playing zone watch them catch the ball!
  9. This is uglier than the last game! Totally out coached! Sad for the players. ALL Oregon Coaches can recruit but in my humble opinion they ALL need major improvement in game coaching!!!
  10. Who teaches technique to our defensive backs? Too big of a cushion. Every time Utah needs a first down they throw a slant for good yards. Easiest throw in football!
  11. When will the pac-12 get professional referees. Pass interference? Pass interference? Pac -12 referees consistently miss call games all season. Unfair to all teams!
  12. Of all your "mental" points, I hope the mental discipline to go penalty free occurs in the game. Those mental lapses have killed too many drives. Those selfish "jawing" at the opponent unsportsmanlike penalties need to be stopped. Just walk away! Thanks for the well thought article! Go Ducks!
  13. Oregon 34 - 28. 1 TO 2 sacks 240 yards passing
  14. Entertaining and a joy to read! Thanks Darren. Go Ducks!
  15. OurLads' NFL Scouting Services has a depth chart updated 11/30/2021. Devon Williams is listed as starter.
  16. Thanks for sharing this article! Go Ducks!
  17. I agree with this suggestion. However, be smart in the play calls. Take advantage of Utah's defensive weaknesses. Let the various running plays and great blocking we saw against Washington and Oregon State set up the passing game that saw AB complete 23 of 28 passes against OSU!
  18. Thanks Charles for the analysis! Great vision and quick acceleration by our running backs! Never Say Dye has been my favorite for a long time. It's nice to see Cardwell have that same vision and quickness! The future looks great. I simply love the intelligence and power blocking of our linemen. The running game will set up the passing game! Go Ducks!
  19. A good "civil war" victory! A great deal of improvement on offense and defense for 3 quarters!. But when are we going to cure those false starts? When will we improve pass coverage on the easiest pass to throw - the slant? Hope everyone heals quickly! Beat the Utes!
  20. Prevent points - check! Score points - check! Follow the Fish Duck game plan 1st half.- check! Repeat 2nd half - GO DUCKS!
  21. Just a little more arc (air under the ball) and that's a touchdown!
  22. I couldn't have said it any better! "...the emphasis should be focused on points; preventing them on defense and scoring boatloads of them on offense." Without Mental Toughness, You panic and/or shoot yourself in the foot with penalties. Thanks Charles!
  23. Oregon Ducks win 38-31 2 TO 3 SACKS 200 yds passing
