Troy Joins Bo in Mile High
Broncos just drafted Troy Franklin in the early 4th round. They got a steal and the chemistry with Bo is a big plus. Wonder how much input Bo had in this decision when Franklin didn't go in the 2nd or 3rd and was still available. Go Pro Ducks!

Bo Nix No. 12 Pick to Denver: NFL Draft Thread of Thoughts and Reactions
That one made me raise both eyebrows. A Dukie better than Rimington winner JPJ? The competition level was certainly tougher in the Pac-12 (RIP). The only thing that I can see is that maybe Barton is a bit bigger and more versatile having played LT for two years and that the Bucs wanted to be able to move him around. Still, hard to argue that JPJ isn't the best center in the draft. My bet is he goes early in the 2nd round later today. He also can play at the guard spot but not really suited to be an OT. He has that edge of pure nasty that will make some team very happy, wherever he plays between the tackles. I would love to see JPJ, TFrank and Dorlus all come off today with Bucky and Tysheem as potential move ups. Still very possible that EvanW goes late rounds and that Oregon will have it's first seven man draft class. Oh yeah, and to hades with those 'experts' like BoogerMac who call Bo a dink and dunk QB. Like Sean Payton can't recognize the smarts and talent to fit his scheme. Same bozos that thought JH would get some coach fired (well yep, Lynn got fired, but because LAC needed an upgrade to develop Justin) or that Harbaugh would trade him to move up and take JJMcC in the draft. All graduates of the Bayless-Acho school of clickbait lame sports journalism.

What Do YOU Want to See From the Spring Game?
1. No injuries 2. Someone emerge at nose tackle 3. What Stewart can do at WR 4. " Dickey. " " " " 5. Muhammad against Stewart 5. Edge development against OTs

Pennsylvania Duck: This Forum, the World, Has Suffered a Great Loss
It is the work of dedicated OBD members like Pennsylvania Duck/Kim Yee that make this the best Oregon fan forum, hands down. She is and will be missed by all. May her family be blessed by her life and memory.

Oregon has Landed a Big Commitment from Stanford Star Forward Brandon Angel
Whispers in the Woods: Oregon hosted secret visitor this past weekend 247SPORTS.COM An update on all things Oregon basketball recruiting. The second big time 'Furd player, Andrej Stojakovic is still in the portal and may want to reunite with Angel. That would be two good wing additions if DA could pull it off. The really interesting tidbit from the above article is that N'faly may be petitioning for a final year of eligibility based on the Covid year and his injuries the following year. He is already NBA ready, but another year at Oregon to develop a mid range shot would make him a first rounder. We can all hope. A line up of Shelstad, Evans, Angel, Bittle and Dante, with Cook, Tracey, Barthelemy and maybe Stojakovic in the rotation (and no injuries) is the stuff of Sweet Sixteen dreams.

Ducks blow another 5-1 lead as Stanford takes the series 2-1
Oregon pitching still an issue with 5 run innings all too common. Plenty of bats for the Ducks but the starters get into trouble and are blowing significant leads. Clean that up and they will win most of the league series.

Pritchard Explodes for ANOTHER Game!
Watched the 10 min YouTube synopsis of the highlights. What is so remarkable is how PP is able to get free on offense, distribute for the open man and lobs for dunks, drive to the hoop, and take the three when it is there. His crossover or behind the back dribble stepback shot is now elite. Defensively, for a small guard he manages to get rebounds by being in the right place at the right time. Granted these last few games have been against somewhat lesser competition as the Celts have their playoff spot sealed up, but PP has been fantastic regardless. He would be the starting PG on a lot of NBA teams and he would be doing this nearly every night. As it is he will be valuable as the 6th man for the Celts in the playoffs.

No. 17 Oregon Beats USC 4-1 in the First of a Three-Game Series
Bottom of 8, 3-1 Ducks and Boetcher on 2nd with Walsh (walk, they didn't want to pitch to him) on 1st. One out. Just need to hold on, which they should do with the solid pitching. Now double steal. Nice!

Stubblefied Returns to Oregon
One would think given the name and Rutgers parallel that Eugene and Clifford would be related. Turns out not though, as Omoruyi is a fairly common Nigerian name and there is not a family connection. Regardless, Clifford is a talented big that would help ease the loss of Dante on the inside and it would be great if Oregon could land him. And Stub coming back to Eugene is a huge get for DA and the Ducks. Great assistant coach and recruiter that former players rave about.

Women's BB Gutted. What Now?
Three Oregon women's basketball starters announce they'll enter the transfer portal 247SPORTS.COM Oregon sophomore center Kennedy Basham announced on Wednesday morning that she... The starting lineup is heading for the exits. Something is really wrong with the program and I don't see any acknowledgement from Graves. Really sad that what Oregon had with Sabrina, Ruthy and Satou is only a fading memory. Maybe Mullens gives the current staff a year to right the ship, but I am no longer on the believer boat.

Wowsa! Our Beloved Ducks Crack the Top-25, and LEAD the Pac-12!
Thanks for all the great Duck baseball info Sir FishDuck. The bats are starting to light up and the battalion of arms starting and in the pen are putting Oregon in every game.

“Ugly Court” Costs Ducks 5-Star Basketball Phenom
Hopefully you are not 18 years old, 6'10'' with a 86" wingspan, 45" vertical leap and are 40+% from beyond the arc. 😎

Carlos Locklyn ... It's A Done Deal
I think that the RBs and their coach would be the first to admit that what they are able to do depends on the skill of the OC to develop and call the right play, the QB to make the correct read and the O-line to create a gap to run through. If I had to choose between losing OC Stein, OL coach Terry and RB coach Locklyn, I suppose I would have to pick Lock. I'm not going to claim that the RB coach is not an important part of the offense. What Coach Lock brought to Oregon was high talent players like Bucky, Noah and James, taught them how to hold on to the football and have the right mindset and physical skills to succeed at a high level. Oregon's run game has been huge the last two years and he will be missed in Eugene. But I am confident that DL will find the right guy to come in and fill the shoes and hopefully have the recruiting chops as well.

Rumors of RB Coach Locklyn Being Hired Away by tOSU...
Nothing final on this yet but there is a lot of chatter and it seems most of the 24/7 crew believes it will happen. It would be a shame to lose Coach Lock, particularly to tOSU. His operational knowledge of Stein's offense would be a benefit to them. He develops RBs well and more importantly, they rarely turn the ball over. I'm sure DL has a list of potential replacements that will emphasize ball security, but no doubt about it, this is a bummer.

Lady Beavs on to the Elite 8!!!
Respect to OSU WBB for beating ND and advancing. Watching So. Carolina with PaoPao and Indiana with Sydney Parrish battle it out in their bracket. Pretty damn sad they felt they needed to leave Oregon to succeed. Sad but true.

Should Oregon Play Osu Every Season?
And a wise person once said, "The reason divorces are so expensive is because they're worth it. In a couple of years the butt hurt aggie crowd will heal enough so that after they have blown thru the current Pac2 settlement they will need cash. I'm then anticipating that even if the game formerly known as 'Civil War' continues to be played, it will be treated like playing Idaho or Montana and is always held at Autzen.

Sabrina's the Best
Not to minimize Clark's achievements, but Sabrina would have brought a NC to Oregon if not for Covid. She was the groundbreaker for widespread acknowledgement of the quality of women's collegiate hoops and is the face of the WNBA. Sabs was tight with Kobe and his family and is tight with Steph Curry and countless other NBA players. That was earned. The 3 pt contest with Steph was must watch stuff. Clark may get there ultimately but isn't there yet. Unfortunately the media fixation with the shiniest new toy gives the impression that there can only be one transformative women's player at a time. Give Clark her due, and more power to her, but Sabrina is the GOAT.

Spring Portal Transfer Period Already Becoming Bizarre...
This episode is certainly the darker side of the wild west of the portal and NIL. It really sucks from the Hawkeye perspective but may even be an issue down the line for DeBoer and Bama given how squirrely this looks for Proctor's character. The Oregon upside is that the Ducks had some interest in him out of the portal. It could have been OBD with facial egg instead of Iowa. No one needs that kind of locker room drama. Not that Proctor would have been a critical get as the Ducks are just fine at OT this year, thank you very much. He wouldn't necessarily have turned the miserable Hawkeye offense around either, but he is talented and now not a problem for B1G DCs to scheme for. I'll look forward to Josh Pate's prediction about more portal lunacy to come.

Oregon is No. 11 Seed: Plays At Pittsburg on Thursday vs. South Carolina
First line has Oregon a 1.5 pt dog to USC (not those spoiled children). Imagine if they play the same level of defense, feed Dante inside and hit just three more 3pt shots than they did against Colorado. Filling in my bracket for a Duck win

Too bad that doesn't matter to us at OBD......(Sigh!)

Ducks Are the 2024 Pac-12 Tournament Champion 75-68!
Last 3 minutes Oregon didn't attempt a 3pt shot. Would have loved to have been a fly on the clipboard at the TOs. DA harping on everyone, "Guys, the 3 ain't falling. Get inside, feed N'Faly, get in the paint and make 'em foul. Play the defense you know how to play and don't give them clean looks behind the arc. Make those free throws. Anyone jacking up a trey gets to walk home."

Ducks Are the 2024 Pac-12 Tournament Champion 75-68!
Looks like they punched that ticket. Ducks 75-68. And they couldn't buy a 3 point shot. Just bada** defense and Dante not missing a shot

Stunner: Oregon Beats No. 1 Seed Arizona 67-59
True, but Oregon just beat a probable NCAA 2 seed. I agree that the best case is to win the Pac-12 tournament final tomorrow and get the automatic.
