  1. Since so many of you seem to like the Jon Wilner articles, I have discovered a site where there is not a paywall. It appears these are the same articles he writes for the pay sites, and the same is also true with his Mailbag write-ups where he answers readers questions regarding the Pac-12. I noticed that they are posted on this site a day later with no pay wall. Sometimes his articles don't have anything to do with Oregon so we may not have articles some weeks. I will post those articles here as I find them. As this will be a continuing thread, older articles will be deleted to keep the thread to one page.
  2. Assessing Christian Gonzalez's performance at the 2023 NFL Combine It feels safe to say that Oregon Ducks cornerback Christian Gonzalez made himself quite a bit of money on Friday. With the defensive backs taking the field at the 2023 NFL Combine, Gonzalez put on a show, impressing in the 40-yard dash, the broad jump, and with his vertical. The Ducks’ defender was already projected to be a first-round pick before the combine, but there’s a good chance that he could rocket up some draft boards into the top 10 after this performance, being given the No. 1 draft score at his position group, per Next Gen Stats. Here is our breakdown of everything that Gonzalez was able to do on Friday at the combine. (The title is wrong below. The article is about Gonzalez) Oregon Football: Assessing Noah Sewell’s performance at NFL Combine DUCKSWIRE.USATODAY.COM It feels pretty safe to say that Christian Gonzalez made himself some money at the NFL Combine on Friday…
  3. Howard’s First Career Homer Highlights Win It's extraordinary when a team scoring 11 runs in the first inning and a pitcher winning her 10th straight game gets overshadowed. But that's what happened because of what Katelyn Howard did when she stepped to the plate in the fourth inning of a game the Ducks had well in hand. "My teammates were insanely happy for me and it meant everything," said Howard. The record books will show that No. 20 Oregon registered an impressive 17-1 win over Cal Poly Friday evening after dropping a disappointing 4-1 contest to Minnesota earlier in the day. 4. Oregon hosts Stanford in season finale with a lot on the line The Oregon Ducks (17-13, 11-8) are looking to close out their final game of the regular season by sending out their seniors with a victory on the home floor. To do it, they'll need to knock off an opponent that pulled off an upset against the Ducks earlier this season. The Oregon Ducks will host 10th-place Stanford (13-17, 7-12) Saturday afternoon at Matthew Knight Arena at 1 p.m. PT. The game will be carried by CBS with Spero Dedes and Avery Johnson on the call. With a win, the Ducks will close out the regular season with three straight wins and lock themselves in for the No. 4 seed in the Pac-12 Tournament next week in Las Vegas. "They got a lot of shooters," Oregon senior guard Jermaine Couisnard said of the Cardinal. "It's hard to stop them when they get going and making shots. We have to just get after them early in the game. Pressure them, see what the outcome will be." 6. Tanner Smith leads the way in walk-off victory over San Diego; sets new school record in the process Oregon's winning ways continued on Friday afternoon, taking down the Toreros 4-3 in walk-off fashion. After San Diego tied the game in the seventh inning, Oregon's Logan Mercado silenced the Torero's bats in the ninth to give the Ducks a chance heading into the final frame. A leadoff double from Owen Diodati, his first hit of the night, set up Smith for the game-clinching hit. Smith laced an 0-1 offering down the left field line, a favorite corner for Oregon's offense, and sent pinch-runner Mason Lytle home safely, winning the game and giving the Ducks a 2-0 series lead. With the walk-off single, Smith set a new all-time record at Oregon for multi-hit games with 67, surpassing Gabe Matthews.
