Oregon faces road test at Colorado The Oregon men's basketball program heads to the road to embark on one of the league's toughest two-game swings, and a trip for the Ducks in particular that's been very difficult. With an 8-6 overall record, Oregon knows it'll need to get a split to keep its NCAA Tournament chances alive. Oregon opens up the road swing Thursday night in Colorado against the Buffaloes (9-6). Last year Oregon claimed their first-ever win at Colorado, and they carry an 11-15 overall record against the Buffs. Oregon is just 9-12 against Colorado under head coach Dana Altman. Taya Hanson shooting the ball better than ever, as she readies to play former school The fifth-year senior guard was a career 30.3 percent three-point shooter over four productive seasons at Arizona State. She led the Sun Devils in scoring in 2020-21 with 12.6 points per game while shooting a career-best 34.4 percent from deep. That number fell below 30 percent last season before she left Tempe to play her final season in Eugene. With the Ducks, Hanson has become a deadeye. She's currently seventh among Pac-12 players with a 44.7 three-point shooting clip. That figure is nearly 15 percentage points better than her career shooting percentage at ASU and 10 percentage points better than her previous best shooting season. Quaaack! Ashton Porter is a Duck!

Ashton Porter Breaks Down Oregon Commitment Seeing that Porter wants to get into designing sports apparel, there isn't another place that gives him the unique opportunity the Ducks do. While he was only recruited by Oregon for a little over two months, it was a process he thoroughly enjoyed. Porter will primarily play the outside linebacker position once he gets to Eugene, but the coaches believe he can do more than just that thanks to violent hands and a quick first step. That presents a role that other schools weren't offering. "I guess the plan is I'll play edge," Porter said. "On some packages, if it's like a third down with a mismatch with the guard, they'll put me in on that. I was like that's cool, that's unique. Most coaches didn't tell me that." Sounds like the Ducks were really recruiting him hard...Click on URL below for article. https://www.star-telegram.com/sports/college/article270821697.html -

Michigan football faces major losses as players keep dropping like flies Slowly but surely, key members of Michigan football are dropping like flies after several players have decided they want out. Exit announcements came shortly after whispers of Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh was also leaving the team have been swirling. He is said to be in talks with the Denver Broncos to step into their vacant coaching position in the NFL. The Denver Broncos also reportedly reached out to Harbaugh about their head coaching job as well. While he talked to NFL teams, Harbaugh suggested that he won't be leaving for the NFL this year. Transfer Portal: Players of Interest
Pennsylvania Duck replied to Pennsylvania Duck's topic in Our Beloved Ducks
Do Ducks need a center? This guy sounds good...zero sacks zero QB hits! -
Jeff Traylor was about to name names. A perpetrator from a Power Five school, the UTSA coach says, used an NIL offer hoping to persuade two of his players leave the Roadrunners. The players in question had not entered the transfer portal. What used to be cheating is now the cost of doing business. The line between ethics and a scholarship offer are blurred so much one needs eyeglasses. Sources tell CBS Sports that NCAA officials have stood before coaches' conventions in both football and basketball asking for help nabbing those making impermissible contact. What they get back is little cooperation. As a personal comment, I can't believe that it is a surprise the Transfer Portal has become what it is. The NCAA doesn't have the leadership to fix it... Rampant tampering, inducing of college football players has coaches unsure about best path forward - CBSSports.com WWW.CBSSPORTS.COM It's one thing to recruit players out of the transfer portal but quite another to do it when they are firmly on a team's roster

In the minutes that followed Oregon’s Week 8 win over UCLA in November, Ducks’ head coach Dan Lanning made a bold proclamation about his starting quarterback, Bo Nix. “I don’t think anybody can sit here and watch football right now and watch our quarterback play and tell me he’s not an elite quarterback,” Lanning said. Over the next six games, Nix put that notion to rest for good. He delivered one of the most statically-impressive seasons in all of college football this fall. Here’s a breakdown.
