For those of you who may not be familiar, Threads is a production of ESPN. Oregon football was featured in a recent presentation and I thought you might enjoy seeing it. In this episode of Threads, Clinton Yates explores nearly 25 years of the Oregon Ducks having the most innovative, polarizing and influential uniforms in college football. Oregon's groundbreaking approach to its threads has inspired schools around the country to try a similar approach, especially given how much uniforms now factor into recruiting.

Oregon injury report for Week 3 vs. Hawaii As Oregon enters Week 3 of the 2023 season, it is rolling with an almost entirely healthy roster. While head coach Dan Lanning has been unwilling to discuss injuries or absences this season, the majority of the Ducks’ players were full-go during the open portions of practice this week. There are a few exceptions, though, as several scholarship players were limited or absent during practice this week. Here’s a rundown of which Oregon players may or may not be available for Saturday’s matchup with the Rainbow Warriors based on recent practice observations. Our 5th thread for this topic has reached a 2nd page and has gotten too cumbersome to handle. So, I am starting a new thread (No. 6). NJDuck and I have never gone through a whole year cycle of postings regarding recruiting before, so this has been a learning experience. Along with the fact that Coach Lanning and his crew are such good recruiters, this thread grows quickly. We are keeping this thread to one page as advertising is most advantageous that way and needed to pay costs of site. If you need to refer back to No. 5 for reference, click here.

Hybrid DB Elyjah Gordon hoping to visit Auburn, Oregon and USC Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) defensive back Elyjah Gordon hasn’t set up any of his official visits but has a few schools in mind for when he does. Gordon is an intriguing defensive back with a nice combination of size, speed and athleticism. He shined at multiple off-season events and college camps, picking up scholarship offers from Auburn, Oregon and USC. The Tigers offered him at the TCU Satellite Camp and the Ducks and Trojans offered him following each schools one day camp. Oregon 5-star commit reportedly visiting Colorado, Deion Sanders Could one of Oregon’s priority recruits from the 2025 class be a serious threat to flip elsewhere? Dallas Wilson, a 5-star wide receiver from the Tampa Bay area, committed to the Ducks on Jan. 17, the 4th player in the class to pledge to Dan Lanning’s program. Wilson is considered by 247Sports to be the No. 5 wide receiver in the 2025 cycle. However, big things appear to be happening in Colorado under Deion Sanders, with Coach Prime’s recruiting prowess well on display at Jackson State and now in Boulder. And, according to 247Sports’ Adam Munsterteiger, Wilson will be at Folsom Field for the Buffaloes’ game against Colorado State on Saturday. 7 major questions for the Ducks to answer in Week 3 vs. Hawaii We entered the 2023 college football season with a lot of questions for the Oregon Ducks. With so many new faces on the roster under year two of Dan Lanning, there were a million different things that we couldn’t wait to see play out in Week 1 against the Portland State Vikings. Unfortunately, because of the level of competition, we didn’t get a ton of answers. A week later, with a thriller down in Lubbock that the Ducks were able to squeak out against the Texas Tech Red Raiders, we were actually left with more questions than we were answers once again. So now, going into Week 3 against the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors, there are a lot of things that we still have yet to learn about the Ducks. With all of that being said, let’s look at what some of those big questions going into Saturday... Duck Tape: Film Analysis of Hawai’i 2023 Hawai’i has played two FBS games in week 0 at Vanderbilt and Week 1 vs Stanford which have been charted for this preview, plus an FCS game hosting Albany week 2. Last week’s game was evidently aired only on local pay-per-view, and acquiring the tape, or even highlights, has proven impossible. I have the play-by-play from the school’s records checked against local and national media, but still can’t be certain it’s completely correct without film review. It was a close contest – Albany was driving into the redzone late in the 4th quarter down four points, only to give up a long fumble return that set up Hawai’i with a short field for a touchdown that would put the game away – but per standard practice statistics from that game are excluded from this article, except as specifically noted. Oregon will host Colorado next weekend in a tantalizing Pac-12 matchup. Dan Lanning's past remarks on the Buffaloes program recirculated in anticipation of the marquee bout. During the summer, Colorado announced a move to the Big 12 in 2024. Oregon's head coach threw shade at the program when asked about the switch. "Not a big reaction," Lanning told reporters on July 31, per Breanna Greene of KOIN News. "I'm trying to remember what they won to affect this conference, and I don't remember. Do you remember them winning anything? I don't remember them winning anything." If they both stay undefeated this weekend, Oregon and Colorado may turn into one of the most hyped games on a packed Week 4 schedule. Lanning's soundbite will only fuel the flame, especially since Sanders doesn't seem like the type of coach to ignore trash talk. Interesting to note the tweet was reposted by someone at Fox today... Making the Case: Will it be Georgia, Miami or Oregon for Aydin Breland? Aydin Breland is the top uncommitted defensive tackle in the 2024 class with nearly 30 offers and on Wednesday the four-star narrowed his list to three schools. The Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei standout named Georgia, Miami and Oregon as his finalists and while a commitment date has not been set Breland has said he’s ready to get things done. He has visited all those programs in June and is now focused on only three. In today’s Making the Case, experts from around the Rivals network make an argument for a particular school and then National Recruiting Director Adam Gorney issues his verdict as to where he sees Breland ending up... New-look offensive line continuing to jell as season goes Oregon replaced four outgoing O-Line starters this offseason. This year's five is still in the process of jelling. A new-look offensive line like the one the Ducks have opened the 2023 season with typically sees gradual progress. As starting center Jackson Powers-Johnson said after Wednesday's practice, the biggest strides are often taken once the games begin to be played.
