  1. The only concern with staying in the Pac-10, as others have pointed out, is the discrepancy in revenue, which will be roughly $30M a year. When revenue sharing starts with the players, things will fall off quickly for schools not in the BIG or SEC and the gap will continue to widen. What good is it making the BCS/playoff, if you just get run off the field every time like Notre Dame? I want Oregon to stay in the Pac-10, but the conference has to come up with a creative plan to close that revenue gap, or the entire conference is toast IMO.
  2. Notre Dame is the biggest fraud team ever. They are 0-8 in BCS/New Year's Six games. The program's last major bowl win was in 1994, when they beat Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl.
  3. This is in direct conflict to the comments that Rick Neuheisel made on ESPN radio yesterday, indicating that his sources have told him that Oregon and Washington to the BIG is a done deal. Someone is wrong. There is so much conflicting information, it is hard to know what to believe.
  4. I read somewhere a while back that the Pac-10 conference was going to allow USC and UCLA to remain in conference in several west coast sports. There was a group of 4 or 5 sports and one was beach volleyball (I don't remember the others). When I read that, I was completely shocked and I hope it is not true.
  5. Interestingly enough, Miami is having those same injury issues right now. I wonder if the strength and conditioning / practice routine under the previous staff had an impact on the number of injuries or if it is just a coincidence.
  6. Whoa! Did he really say that on ESPN? Can anyone confirm?
  7. I just have a gut feeling that Richardson is going to have an Aaron Brooks type of senior year. He is due to put everything together and just dominate.
  8. Just how good is the offense right now? The most telling stat to me is that the Ducks have scored TDs on 7 straight possessions in 2 games already this season. That is just flat out insane. I wonder when was the last time that happened prior to this year? Not sure how to look that up, but I am guessing that it is a pretty rare occurrence. My gut says that Chip's teams probably did it a few times.
  9. Awesome. Thanks for the link. I am so ready for hoops!!
  10. Maybe Tyler Van Dyke will be available after this year 🤣
  11. Emoni Bates was arrested last month and Dior Johnson was charged yesterday.
  12. Here is a clip of Rob Mullens discussing conference expansion with a reporter from West Virginia. If you are wondering about the connection, Rob attended UWV and Ally graduated from Oregon in Journalism.
  13. He has incredible contact balance. He is so fun to watch. Love it!
  14. Thank you Axel. I have always been a math guy, so this post is very helpful. Log Haulin - That School House Rock video was a blast from the past. Thank you for posting. I watched the entire thing!
  15. I always pull for Chip, unless it negatively impacts Oregon somehow. Those were some really fun years to watch the Ducks! Go UCLA! I am not overly upset or worried about the BIG move. That will take care of itself.
  16. 100% for sure! You could see during the Georgia game that they were confused, even before the snap. Guys were thinking and not playing free. They were out of position and late to react, which resulted in a bunch of missed tackles and big plays by Georgia. IMO it is getting a little bit better each week, but they are not there yet. This week will be a HUGE test with Arizona's receivers.
  17. We need this one badly. Fingers crossed.
  18. I’ll guess 5 years. He will end up recruiting well enough to win 8 to 10 games a year in the ACC. It is not like there is much competition outside of Clemson and 1-2 other schools that get hot or are set up for a good year, like an FSU, NCSU, UNC or maybe Wake. Once fans realize that his conservative style won’t win them playoff games, he will eventually get replaced.
  19. IMO I don’t see any team making it through conference play undefeated. USC is a paper tiger. They are living off turnovers and their OL is a sieve. When they meet upper teams in the conference with a decent defense and that take care of the ball, they will drop games. Oregon has issues in the secondary, with penalties, and with redzone execution. Those will catch up to them at least one time. Utah has a talent gap. Improved coaching at USC, UW, and Oregon will make it more difficult for them to win against the teams at the top of the conference stacked with talent. UCLA is looking good and DTR is playing extremely well. They are well rounded on offense and defense, while not elite. However, their schedule is a nightmare and I don’t see how they run the table. They still have Cal who is playing better, Oregon, USC, and Utah plus the championship game.
  20. Just wow! Same thing with Sling. I woke up this morning and no ESPN. I have had Sling for years with no issues. Switching to Fubo.
  21. I am guessing that Stanford won’t win 6 games this year. They look tragic right now.
  22. I don't really have a good read on this game, as neither one of these teams has played anyone decent this year. I am excited to watch this one to see which team is ready to make a move. Go Chip! Blow them out!
  23. Thank you! I 100% agree with you that with the addition of the playoff spots there may be some creative ways to generate revenue and save the conference.
  24. Sorry in advance if this is long. Despite this news, I feel like the PAC is going to stay together. The tOSU AD was on record yesterday saying UCLA and USC were the only schools that made sense for them to add. The Iowa AD has come out and said similar things. I see a lot of arguments about the BIG taking UO and UW to reduce travel burden for UCLA and USC, but not so sure that argument holds water. In my eyes, the BIG wanted three things: 1) They wanted access to the SoCal Media market to increase the revenue for their TV deal. 2) They wanted access to the LA area because there are a ton of BIG alumni in that area. 3) The current schools wanted better access to the SoCal recruiting grounds. If Oregon can take the best kids out of SoCal, what do you think Michigan, tOSU, and Penn State are going to do? The BIG already got everything they wanted with the first round of expansion. I don't understand the "on an island" argument. Why does the BIG care if UCLA or USC are "on an island"? In fact, I would argue that is a nice advantage for all the current BIG teams: 1) The current members only have to make 1 trip west coast trip a year max. 2) Having USC and UCLA on an island is going to make success for the LA schools a lot more difficult. Just take a look at how difficult it is for NFL west teams to travel back east and win consistently. 3) When USC and UCLA struggle after the move (and they will), schools like tOSU, Michigan, Penn State and even Wisconsin are going to have a field day recruiting in SoCal. I know both UO and UW are talking to the BIG, but I don't think they don't have the market, alumni base, or recruiting grounds to leverage the move. If somehow the BIG gets a stupid money offer from Amazon for 3rd or 4th tier rights, then maybe it happens, but I just don't see it.
