  1. For whatever this is worth. Oregon fans would be amazed by the amount of Dawgs fans watching your game vs BYU right now. we want to see y’all send em back to Provo hurtin.
  2. Ducks are going to be fine after they shake off this whipping. Playing EW will cure some of the questions. What is the old saying about not as good or bad as it seems, or something like that. I don't think the Ducks are a bad team, I just think we/UGA may be a pretty good team. Regarding Kirbys comments about Lanning getting better players, maybe CKS should have said that Dan nereds to get MORE better players...UGA has a lot of really good players. My wifes cousin is Ladd McConkey and that kid came from a little podunk mountain school in north Georgia and they had another kid just like him; on any Friday night in Georgia, you can go to a super HS or a little mountain HS or a south Georgia "pulp wood" HS, and they will be loaded with kids that will play on Saturday afternoon. I have seen as many as 7-8 D1 kids on one team. It is mindboggling. All that talent makes it easy for SEC schools to recruit well. And then those same universities will go to California, Texas, or even Maryland and get good players to compliment the local fare. Oregon is going to be ok. just move on to the next game. Good luck!
  3. Y’all ain’t a bad team. I truly believe that. It’s just we were better than y’all thought.
  4. Sorry bro. I was trying to compliment. Burnout offense is really fast. Across the board fast, not just skill guys but not the hogs too. Gotta be in down here.
  5. He’s stark to his point, but he knows what UGA has and doesn’t have and the advantages. He usually knows what opponents have too. Whether he is right or not we won’t know for another 20 hours or so. The short of it is ; he pointed out the positional match winners and losers.
  6. Graham Coffey is one of the better UGA analyst out there; he’s right far more than he is wrong. He is a Georgia boy, but he doesn’t tend to show a lot of bias. He knows the Dawgs and football inside and out, and researches opponents thoroughly. You may not like it, but he points out some very valid and sometimes overlooked points. This is the most complete one I have seen. UGA-Oregon Advanced Stat/Scheme Preview - Explaining How Dawgs vs Ducks Plays Out on the Field - Inside UGA With Graham Coffey - Dawgs Central Community WWW.DAWGSCENTRAL.COM This is The Advanced Stat/Film Preview column that will appear on Thursday of every game week on...
  7. This season Smart didn’t take any portal transfers. Actually kind of nice that he has enough confidence in the recruited kids on the roster that he didn’t have to seek anything more.
  8. Caleb was the only portal offer extended. We didn’t look at anyone else
  9. So, from what I am reading it seems like y'all have more confidence in your defense? Is that accurate?
  10. Hers's an admittedly, very confident response from me regarding our TE's. You probably should be terrified. If I were a betting man, I'd place a bet on those dudes nullifying any advantage you get with Sewell and Flowe. I have a feeling NS & JF won't be able to cover them.
  11. I think you're correct. But Kirby tends to get a lot of mileage out of the 3* guys too.
  12. The edge guys are where we are pretty strong at....Nolan Smith is special " on the watchlist for the Outland Trophy (nation's top interior lineman) and Bronko Nagurski Trophy (nation's top defender)...second-team pre-season All-America selection by Athlon Sports." He's all conference this year. Both he and Beal are seniors with a bunch of snaps played. The rotation is pretty good with a good amount of experience too; Chaz Chambliss is a thumper as is MJ Sherman. I have been looking forward to seeing both Chambliss and Sherman get more snaps. There is one guy in the middle to watch, Jamon Dumas-Johnson, aka; "Pop" They say the nickname is because he looks so much older than everyone else, but I am not so sure about the origin of the name.
  13. On the Oregon defense it seems like y'all have put a lot of stock in Justin Flowe and Noah Sewell. I watched both of those kids flirt with UGA and wanted them in Athensl so I know what you have there. Is there another area in defense that Oregon has a lot of confidence? And on offense, I have only heard Bo Nix and Seven McGee ( is that his real name?)
  14. Logue and TID just need to tie up some blockers if they can and let Carter work. I think Lanning will more concerned with Nolan Smith and Robert Beal on the edge.
  15. Runn right at the front. The backers are young. They are athletic and skilled, just lack experience.
  16. Corners : Kelee Ringo rSoph...(all SEC) will be one corner and Kamari Lassiter will be the other. Ringo had the pick six to seal the title game. He's solid and is fast becoming a true lockdown corner. He was the #1 CB out of HS, a 5* from Az. Started all 15 games last year. Kamari Lassiter TSoph...has great ball skills, and speed to spare. He was a 4* out of Tuscaloosa. Played in all 15 games last year in reserve and played on special teams as well. Bulked up some over the summer. Star William Poole ...Senior Was a 4* guy Played in 11 games last year. He was kind of just a reserve guy, but for some reason he busted out late in the season and played really well. Really smart dude in the classroom too. Free Safety...Chris Smith *** Senior. Very good player. (all SEC) Had the pick six against Clemson. He is probably one of the more important pieces to the secondary. The leadership he has is pretty important to the D. He is an impact player. Strong Safety...Dan Jackson...RS Soph Walk On...Slow and white, but dang if that dude ain't a player. Played in all 15 games and started in four. He is a true north Georgia mountain boy; fun to watch. He will hit you or take a hit for the team. What we call a "DGD" If you saw the Kelee Ringo pick six vs Bama, Dan was the guy flying through the air on about the 5 yard line. I don't see him goung pro, but he's still fun to watch. Blocked a punt vs Arkansas that resulted in a TD. OR Tykee Smith....Tykee was a all conference player at WVU before transferring to UGA, but he has been recovering from an ACL, so his availability is unknown at the moment. The last injury report has him as "questionable."
  17. The Dawgs will treat this Oregon game as if they are playing Bama or any other SEC team. Smart won’t let them go in unfocused or la king respect. lannjng knows where we are weak defense and I’ll guess he’s targeting the DL; he will do his best to establish some sort of ground game. He knows where we are stronger at too…the secondary, so he will be maybe more cautious there. UGAs offensive may be more of a puzzle to Lanning. I’ll check my thoughts there. I will say the TE’s have an impact, but maybe not how many others think. But make no mistake, this game ain’t a gimme. I’ll guess it will be closer than Vegas oddsmakers predict.
  18. This is pretty cliché but…this game will be won at the LOS.
  19. That’s UGA. He’s the live mascot that’s been around since 1956. All a part of the same line. Owned and handled by the Seiler family in Savannah Ga. UGA is treated like royalty. Big lines to see him before a game. Usually very well behaved. Only once have I ever seen an UGA get testy. That was in 1996 and one of the more famous and charactered UGA’s, UGA v tried to bite Auburn WR Robert Baker after he scored a TD; he came too close too fast to owner Sonny Seiler and UGA wasn’t impressed. That was the first overtime game in CFB. “The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry” too. Dawgs won in four OT. “Hairy Dawg” is the costumed mascot that was introduced in the 1980 season. Fun and nice to have. But he ain’t UGA.
  20. These boys are a bit different, but are usually pretty objective, even for a bunch of homers. I think it gives a fair assessment of how the Ducks offense matches UGA’s defensive front. That’s is what I think is the key to the game. Even if they all drink drown liquor before noon, they’re harmless. Bourbon is the house wine of the SEC A little Oregon talk | Get The Picture BLUTARSKY.WORDPRESS.COM Via Seth Emerson ($$), here's a little something to get us started on the opener: Maybe “wide” is too strong... and yea, James Brown was a huge UGA fan
  21. And just like that, this pops up on my feed.....Kirby knows the same thing. And so does Lanning This is a good fast read. 22. I found a couple of other Ducks pages to visit, but those boys are all either too lazy to post, too ignorant to post, or just don't know anything about football. I am not sure how long I will hang around after the game, but I want to commend y'all on how pleasant this forum has been. I have yet to experience any unreasonable smack talk or expectations. I hope the other Georgia fans feel the same as I do and will chime in on this. I have only joined one or two other opponents pages in the past and I will say that Oregon has been the most welcoming. I was on Hawaii's page in 07' when we played them, and they were nice as St Pete, but those poor folks didn't have a clue about football; Ducks fans know football and that is nice. Truly I say, I hope the Ducks go 11-1 this year. Y'all deserve it.
