If it was Oregon State?  I'm sure they would be blaming Oregon....

BTW...their starters at guard were already going to have thin numbers in reserve, and now...  Be grateful that Lanning has loaded up the way he has!

That is a big Duck at guard, in

Steven Jones, No. 74.

Oregon Ducks offensive lineman Steven Jones returns from left foot sprain with perspective on potential coaching future - oregonlive.com

And another Oregon site says that the Huskies have very little experience in Running Backs behind the starter who was injured.

Even as a fan of a rival team, you hate to see these season ending injuries to these young men. I want to beat the Huskies on the field, best on best (no excuses).

I hope that both players are able to fully recover and come back stronger next year.

Agreed, but I thought it was relevant to report and an opportunity to celebrate our newfound depth at Oregon.

Does Fusky feel the same way? We should ask Bo, Bo knows.

Hate to see kids get hurt. But hey, that's football. I could really care less about the health of Fusky.

Either that, or a dinky running back behind him....

Especially when there is talk about having an oline that is 8 deep!

SATURDAYOUTWEST.COM

Oregon coaches like the depth they have on the offensive line as the season approaches.

We have at least 4-5 really good options at running back.

We have a boatload of receivers...

Quarterback is suspect after Bo... But that's true of most teams.

Huskies still have a transfer from Miss St.  who had over a 1,000 yards, I think they'll be okay there.  The starting guard is probably a bigger loss.

Depth, seems to be the key.  Having great players like LaMike, Barner then add DAT made for Magic!  But having that at all positions and both sides of the ball is key!  Seasons are long, injuries happen and it showed when Bo got injured.  Oregon has not had a back up QB since Nate Costa and Bryan Bennett. Bryan Bennett was a capable back when Costa went down with the knee injury for Thomas. But elected to transfer when Mariota got the starting job after Thomas elected to enter the draft.  I am hoping that Oregon can attract a good back up or two.  It would be nice if Ty could, turn the LIGHT on and feel more comfortable, when he does have the chance to run the Offense.
