cartm25 No. 1 Share Posted September 2, 2023 In four quarters of football against Miami (OH)—from the all powerful Mid-American Conference—Mari Cristbal’s offense managed a point total that begins with 3 38 points . . . against Miami (OH). Here’s hoping the Hurricanes never figure it out on offense.

David Marsh No. 4 Share Posted September 2, 2023 Cristobal seems to have a scoring roof on his offenses. It's like his offense hits 35-38ish points and is like.... "We've scored enough points, all done" EVEN if it's a shoot out.
Mic No. 5 Share Posted September 2, 2023 A dismal turnout, all right. But it was Miami OH and maybe (?) the students aren't all back yet. However, it does look like 'Canes fans are waiting for something worth what I can only imagine must be a lot of $$ for seats in Hard Rock. And to think, Odds Shark actually picked Miami-OH in this one! Mario's on-top-of-the-world right now.
DanLduck No. 6 Share Posted September 2, 2023 Looking at the box score, it looks like a solid effort by a Mario coached team, especially for a first game. 250- rushing 243- passing 2 scores each quarter One successful 2pt conversion Holding opposition to only a field goal Controlled time of possession Looks like exactly the kind of game MC loves to coach. He should have great success against all FCS teams, some G5, and maybe some luck against the bottom half of ACC. Against teams with a high powered offense, well, he won't win in a shootout. The new rule for clock continuing to run might actually help improve his chances to control game tempo and win a game or two. I must say, I'm so glad Miami wanted him! Go Ducks! Go Lanning.
Joe F No. 7 Share Posted September 2, 2023 I watched some of that game and finally had to tune it out because the announcers were such HOMERS. They kept telling me what a great fit Mari was for the U and how his plan to bring it back to prominence was a 3 to 5-year deal and he was certainly the right person for the job. I finally couldn't stand it anymore and turned it off. 1
