For an old guy who used to get sports through the newspaper and SI, this is sad.

Good thing I saved all of the Swimsuit issues.😍

Wow...crazy!  I remember days of reading sport, sports illustrated, and sporting news(and their box scores) front cover to back!  Sad it's come to this with printed media!

Well...a couple were less memorable recently, and I'll leave it at that. (Current culture)

Physical media is a dying product. How long before DVDs, CDs, or Newspapers all disappear? I have boxes full of DVDs, most not even opened. But one day down the road, I would like to tell my grandkids about the days of Blockbuster, Barnes and Noble, or SunCoast DVD and CD shop.

Ten years ago, Generation X was calling my generation lazy. I can now say the same about Gen Z, as they don't even have to put a DVD, CD, or Magazine up to consume the data . It's all streaming, Kindle, Apple, and iPhones now.

Pretty sure I would have been illiterate if it hadn't been for SI. Maybe not quite that bad, but it had a huge impact on my life.

The article, and articles on the Ironman changed the trajectory of my life, and still to this day create curiosity and drive to a life better lived.

Sadly, this had led to an uptick in the number of phones dropped in the toilet. I’m willing to bet that not many magazines or books ended up in there unless someone was out of toilet paper.
