Jon Joseph Moderator No. 2 Share Posted August 9 Charles, your keyboard to the Football Gods' ears. Now, Puddles needs the ball to bounce in the right direction and for Danno to stay aggressive but more seasoned and reasoned in his in-game coaching decisions. Online Pokies? It was a backlink order to help pay the bills, while the rest of the article was sincere--as it is something I've been thinking about for a long time. BTW...the SEO company that contacted me is in the island nation of Cyprus, and site they are promoting is in Australia, and I am in Eugene. Pretty global! And I don't think many fans realize just how experienced this 2024 team is... 1 Mr. FishDuck
Haywarduck Moderator No. 4 Share Posted August 9 Chip popularized the concept of next man up, which continues to this day with Lanning. The depth he has, especially at DB should provide no drop off, and many of the positions are the same. What Lanning is bringing is the concept of reloading. If you have a first round qb get drafted, bring in next years Heisman favorite. Get beat by your rival bring in their best DB. We now have next man up and move on over. Just keep the train running at a high level while keeping all the feathers from getting ruffled. A pretty astounding situation is occurring with our new Ducks. It use to be one injury and the season was over, you had one pretty good player and the recruiting at that position was done. We now have a new era, of depth, recruiting, transfers which is never over until we are at a position of talent seldom, if ever, seen, Love It!
Just Ducky No. 5 Share Posted August 9 I think back at earlier years, and recently, where injuries have been a contributing factor in the outcome of a season. Dixon’s knee comes to mind as it surely cost us a shot at a natty and absolutely was in the front of Sabins mind. There are other examples as well but my point here is I am still worried about about injuries but I think that our depth will make this problem much easier to deal with. May we all stay healthy and of coarse Go s
Solar No. 6 Share Posted August 9 Yeah, even the non starters are getting a lot of experience in garbage time in prior seasons getting them more ready than other teams' non starters.
Utki No. 7 Share Posted August 9 As the USA vs Serbia game showed the amazing level of talent is nice but actually playing cohesively as a team means a heckuva lot. Having both is rare and maybe this is the year it happens for us.
DanLduck No. 8 Share Posted August 9 Seems to my reckoning that Lannings first year we had one of the youngest teams in D1. Now we have more seniors than ever before. The big d-lineman from MSU, the safety Savage and corner from UW were big gets from the portal. Our defensive back group is now not a weakness but strength with depth! The d-line also has depth, much needed in the B1G. I think the transfer RB, Harris, is going to surprise people with his size and speed. Yes, the depth across the board is impressive. I think we are over 60% blue-chip as well. With all our seniors, this is the year Charles. And with a 12 team playoff... Only 3 more weeks! Let the games begin! Go Ducks!! Drake Moderator No. 9 Share Posted August 9 Dillon Gabriel’s arrival definitely changed the outlook for this season. Not to overlook other players on the team, but a senior QB with the potential to win a Heisman seems pretty huge. I anticipate that our offense thrives, and the defense is looking nasty for anything less than a top rated offensive unit.

Ranking the Top 15 College Football Defenses for the 2024 season SATURDAYBLITZ.COM With 2019 LSU being an exception, defenses have essentially carried national championship programs in recent years. Georgia set the bar back in 2021 when the Bu B1G Ds in the top 15: 1. Ohio State 3. Iowa 5. Michigan 6. Penn State 7. OREGON 11. Nebraska OBD plays Ohio State and Michigan this season. Will B1G Ds hold down Oregon's O better than Pac-12 teams did? In every preseason poll I have seen except for Phil Steele's, IOWA is IMO, way under-ranked. Steele has Iowa finishing 10-2 and being rewarded with a spot in the Playoff. The only 'sure loss' game on the Hawkeyes schedule is vs. Ohio State in Columbus the Saturday before the Buckeyes visit Eugene. Oregon received little scheduling love from the B1G but playing Michigan State at home the Friday before the game with the Buckeyes gives Oregon an extra day to rest and game plan before Ohio State makes its only West Coast trip in 2024.
