And what's counter intuitive is that it matters more where you're opponents end the season than their ranking at the time of the game. Even though all the attention is on top 10 or top 25 match ups the week of it doesn't hold the same weight as where teams end the season.

A 6-point home win over Bowling Green moves A+M up 1 spot; $(e)cam. 4-0 Indy is not ranked. 3-0 Rutgers with a road win at Va Tech not ranked. As usual, David Marsh is spot on. Before 12/8/24 all of "This" is fish wrap clickbait. And Charles is spot on noting that Boise State is the highest-ranked G5 team. Boise hosts undefeated (barely) Wazzu this Saturday.

To be fair 🤣, I believe we dropped from 7 to 9 after beating BSU. We had dropped from 3 to 7 in the prior week, after barely beating the first potato.
