Massduck No. 1 Share Posted October 6 With Bama going down to Vanderbilt, that should also sour George’s close Loss to the Tide. Thus undefeated Oregon should be ahead of both in the polls this week. Of course it won’t matter for long as the Ohio State game this week will really determine where the Ducks stand. I am just curious to see if the SEC bias will continue to reign supreme in the rankings?
30Duck No. 2 Share Posted October 6 Ohio State should be No.1, No.4 Tennessee just lost. Oregon. 5-0 could be No.4 if they don't keep 4-1 Alabama ahead of them.
spartan2785 No. 3 Share Posted October 6 It'll be #2 vs #4, Texas deserves to be #1, Michigan isn't a great win, but they dominated that game on the road, still is the most impressive win I think out of the top 4. We might jump Georgia after Bama just lost, but really I'm fine if we're #4, do our job, and we'll have a shot at #1 even! In the end it's about doing what you can do and we'll be where we want to be. 1 1
Jon Joseph Moderator No. 4 Share Posted October 6 AP Poll - 1. Texas 2. Ohio State 3. Georgia 4. OREGON 5. Penn State. 3 B1G in the top 5? Make It So! Boise keeps destroying opponents like Utah State today and the Ducks win is looking better and better. MIA is in a battle in Berkeley. Loisville's loss to SMU could mean the Canes playing NO Top 25 teams in the regular season. Undefeated Army, Navy, and Pitt won today. How far will Michigan drop? Don't look now but The Cascade Clash will not be a walkover. Fisch, Belichick, and Carroll the Youngers have done a heck of a job with an entirely new, almost, group of starters. 3-2 UW could be 5-0 without self-inflicted wounds. (The Gators defeated UCF today turning the burner down a bit on Napier.) USC got rowed out of Minneapolis. The SC O did not Go-Far in Minny. Will Traveler remain in the top 25? UGA plays MS ST next week. Ducks win and OK continues its success in the Red River Rivalry and OBD is No. 1? Relax, JJ, Relax. 1 2

Riley is the most overrated coach in the Power 4. He can coach Heisman winning QB's, but they didn't win anything, now 3-2, USC should drop out of the Poll. 1
Fathertime No. 6 Share Posted October 6 (edited) I think Alabama's loss to an unranked Vanderbilt team increase the the loss of Georgia to Alabama. Then Tennesse's loss to an unranked Arkansas team moves us to #3. Texas #1, Ohio State #2, Oregon #3. But the best thing of this Saturday is Mario losing to CAL. HDuck No. 8 Share Posted October 6 Alabama was No. 1 in early October 2021 and lost by 3 points. They dropped to No. 5. There were undefeated teams both in front and behind them in the rankings. this week 2-Texas - bye 3-Ohio St – W 35-7 Iowa 4-Tennessee – L 14-19 at Arkansas 5-Georgia – W 31-13 Auburn 6-Oregon – W 31-10 Michigan St 7-Penn St – W 27-11 UCLA 8-Miami – playing at Cal tonight

Anyways, the way I see the next AP ranking for the top 5 teams: 1. Texas 2. Ohio State 3. Penn State 4. Oregon 5. Miami (only because they're undefeated) But we shall see soon enough...
Jon Joseph Moderator No. 11 Share Posted October 6 Miami was MIA most of the night before a heck of a comeback. Back-to-back close calls for the Canes. ReCal that the Bears lost vs FSU. Left for Miami - Bye At Louisville - With its 2nd loss yesterday, home vs SMU, Louis will drop out of the AP Poll Vs. - Didn't you used to be FSU? Duke - lost to Georgia Tech (GT) yesterday At Georgia Tech - This could be tough but I doubt GT will be ranked. Wake Forest. At Syracuse. Miami will play 12 regular-season games against no ranked teams before the ACC Champ game in Charlotte. The Canes will likely match up with Clemson. One of the two will have a 1st round-bye. A Georgia team that thumped Clemson could be seeded behind Clemson or Miami. The ACC is a joke and these con men play 8 regular-season games.

EastBayDuckDad Moderator No. 13 Share Posted October 6 Heartbreaking to watch Cal (I'm UC Berkeley, class of '76) give that game away to Miami. The Caines are not a top 5 team. No way to soft pedal Bama's loss to Vandy, that should drop them below Oregon. Georgia may stay above the Ducks this week in spite of the Bama loss. Even though the bloom is off the Michgan rose, Texas has a better win in Ann Arbor that anything tOSU has done thus far. My rankings: #1 Texas #2 Ohio State #3 Georgia #4 Oregon Alabama, Miami, Tennessee, Penn State, Ole Miss, maybe Clemson and LSU after that in no particular order. And it's "look out below!" for the Trojenz. And yeah, that Boise State squeaker win at Autzen looks better every week. It's all on the line now for Saturday in Eugene against the chestnuts. 1

Solar No. 21 Share Posted October 6 I don't think Texas is better than Georgia or OSU on a neutral field. They are still after glowing from beating down a mid UM team, that beat a mid USC team that beat a mid LSU team. I realize the season is nearly half over but still a lot of games are required to see who can reach the highest ceiling. My poll is: tOSU Georgia Texas Alabama Oregon Penn State Tennessee Clemson Miami Irrelevant
