30Duck No. 2 Share Posted October 7 Alex, I can't think of another answer, unless with all the attention Smith is getting, it's Emeka Egbuka, who actually has more receptions than Smith. Than of course, with all the attention the WR's are getting, TreVyon Henderson or Quinshon Judkins, find a hole and takes it in for six. So, yes, Oregon and Ohio State coaches are looking at similar tape. It seems like the Ducks are getting more from their TE's. Neither the Ducks or Bucks are turning it over much, so one of those could be a dagger, especially in the red zone. It was great to see Boyle hit that field goal from 50. HappyToBeADuck No. 4 Share Posted October 7 Alex thanks for your article and thoughts on this weeks version of the game of the century. tOSU skill position players will present more than a handful for the Ducks Defense. After watching the Iowa-tOSU game i feel the Buckeye defensive front 7, as a unit will decide this game. They didnt allow Iowa anything. Especially when they played 3 Monster DL's at one time. The Duck Oline will be the best the Buckeyes have or may face in the regular season. The Ducks must open holes and protect DG in order to keep the Buckeyes confused and off balance. Should be a very good game that may very well be decided by a field goal. Every point will be needed. IMHO, DL and staff do not have a regular season signature win. This should be the one. Very good point. With all the "skill players" on both teams it will be the battle in the trenches that decide this one. DanLduck No. 7 Share Posted October 7 This is the week we've all been waiting for, we will see just how well we stack up against a legitimate power 4 stacked team. The good news is that this is only game 6, with half the season left to play. Regardless of outcome, there are still several good teams yet to play and lots of football left. tOSU has lots of weapons, and a front 7 on D that are big and come to play. This will take a full team effort on our part to stay with them. I think we are ready. It will be decided by who makes fewest errors. No missed tackles. No missed assignments. No presnap penalties. My biggest concern is our qb, DG. The last 2 games he has been a little off. Late throws, a little behind receivers or long. We need his best effort. If he is on target, we win. Even against the two potato heads, he held the ball for long periods. I believe that's why his NFL eval was a surprise to him. You don't get that luxury against elite teams. I'll tell you this though. I've seen enough Oklahoma footage to grasp this guy is a gamer. He's pretty much the same QB. I'm not worried about this game. I'm concerned about what we learn from this game. What the team does with some of the fundamental things we're going to learn about the team against one of the best in the country.
