Charles Fischer Administrator No. 1 Share Posted October 15 Good gosh, we have Beavis fans who hate us more than they love their team, Washington fans who would trade three wins for one over Oregon and goodness knows how many USC fans are sticking pins into Duck-Dolls! Now we have hundreds of thousand Buckeye fans who detest us? Damn! How can you get so mad at a team with Donald Duck on its jersey? We have new rivalries being born in the B1G, and it will add to the entertainment over time. There is so much anger and animosity towards Ryan Day, his selected coaching staff and the history of non-performance in big games. He's the primary focus of so many comments on their boards. From a marketing standpoint, this is EXACTLY what we wanted. We openly pushed for the moniker "That team out west". "That team up north" is used because tOSU hates Michigan so much that they refuse to say their name. It's what we asked for. If we keep beating tOSU, someday we might get it. Cowherd & Klatt weren't impressed at all, to them Ohio State absolutely lost that game, Oregon didn't win. But they can't help it. Before, the Old Guard didn't like Oregon because of the uniforms, the Blur, the FINESSE. But against Ohio State Oregon won in the trenches, without their best DL, outrushed Ohio State, overcame mistakes & penalties. They really hate Oregon now.
