Final Interception Should be Credited to....Teitum Tuioti?

Recommended Posts

Yes, Matayo had to catch it, and Caldwell had to block it.

But how did the ball end up on so low a trajectory that Caldwell could block it?

Let's take a look...

Above you see Teitum Tuioti No. 44 closing in on the Badger QB...

Look at the football above before Caldwell tips it....the football is

NOT flying tip ahead, but laces leading?  We all know a pass

does not look like that, thus Tuioti DID tip it first, and lowered the

trajectory for Caldwell to tip it.

The interception doesn't happen without ALL THREE, but

Teitum should get his kudos because it does NOT happen

without his tip first!

They executed it just the way Lupoi drew it up!

That's why they always celebrate as a team.

Well done!

The defense flocked together for the “dead duck” tip drill. Two deflections, and an interception on one play. Very cool.

Defensive poetry in motion.

With Tuioti on the inside, and No. 55 Harmon on the outside....they started the play the opposite,

but did a twist bringing TT inside and Derrick Harmon looping outside.  They are getting better!

Isn't Lupoi screaming, ball, ball, after the ball on the sidelines in the latest Ducks v Them Recap, just before that play?

If so, then yes just the way Lupoi "drew it up".  🤔

Nice catch, Charles. I think sometimes a basketball rebound is credited to “team”.  That’s what I would do here, were I the official scorer.

If a defensive back’s coverage made the QB delay an instant, does the DB get part of the credit?  It took eleven players for James to break loose for the onlyTD.
