The Oregon men are playing some exceptional ball these days. Hopefully, they will crush USC tomorrow night, 7:30 PM on the B1G Network.

They either got to start hitting those threes or work the ball in and make twos.  Not sure how many 3s they have missed so far, but it is a lot already…

Rough start.  Hopefully we turn the corner here and start making some shots. 🤮

How many bunnies has Bamba missed this year?  Come on Ducks. 

Crazy game. The ducks are not focused either on offense or defense. Too many turnovers and missed opportunities. Hopefully Altman will knock some heads together. I don't think I have ever seen so many travels called in one game. 

Need to really pick it up in the second half on the offensive end. 

Far from the reason the Ducks are behind, but down by 7, and the Trojans have 6 points on free throws because the Ducks twice fouled shooters attempting 3's!

This would be a terrible loss.  USC is 171 in the NET and I believe that is the lowest BIG team.  This will be a Q3 or Q4 loss.  Need to get it together and win this game. 

Let's see if Dana is able to get them to make a second half adjustment. 

Keep taking it to the rim and make those free throws.

Shelstad stepping it up down the stretch. Love this team they take turns being the man to step up.

Looks like they will avoid disaster. Nice job Ducks. 

No a pretty win, but definitely a gutsy win. They just find ways to win. 9-0.

The depth of this team is definitely a huge advantage. Seems to me that there's 10 guy who can score 20 points in any given game.

These guys KNOW they can find a way to win.  Whew!

 

Keeshawn Barthelemy off the bench 6 for 9, 4 for 5 from the 3, 2 boards, and 5 assists.

Exactly. When Bittle scores 5 points and fouls out, and we still win, that speaks to the depth this team has.

They found a way to win even though it wasn't their night. All their experience and depth is paying off for them big time.  They play well together and believe in each other.

All in all, it was a pretty good day for Duck fans across 3 sports!

My thought exactly. The 1st half, nothing went right, but I never saw despair. I don't know what Tracey's T was. But the D was there the whole game. USC was happy, thought they were going to knock off No.12, give the Ducks their first loss. The Ducks knew they'd win.

Nice to see Shelstad again in the second half (where ya been homie?).  First time this year he literally put this team on his back and went through USC via the free throw line.  (Half his points came from the stripe)

 

Fifth comeback for the win this year and the third after being down by double digits at halftime.  Dana put it perfectly.  "It's certainly nice to be 9-0, but we have a very long way to go to being a really good basketball team".

 

I agree, but this team has showed a tenacity and drive to NOT lose regardless of how the game flow goes.  This first nine game "flow" should serve them well in the B1G, especially during the month of January.  If they "tighten things up" then this will be a very dangerous and competitive team moving into March Madness.

 

Glad for the team and for Dana.  Now let's make this thing "roll"!

This team, as assembled, has scary potential. If they develop and mature the way many of Altman's past squads have shown, the potential is through the roof!

Exactly, awful shooting game for Bamba, little production from Bittle, Angel has been off for the last several games and they still won. Anybody who has followed Altman knew exactly what he was going to say at halftime. His teams will never be complacent.

 

Fortunately, again the problems were on offense, the defense has been there for all 9 games. It's amazing that this team has found the ability to take the hits early, not abandon the plan, and take over at the end, Altman's teams always get better as the season goes on, this one will too.

Quick look at UCLA. They're 7-1, haven't played a tough schedule, their best opponent, New Mexico, beat them. They're averaging 78.2 a game, giving up 53.1. Remember though this is against a schedule without a Quad 1 possible, except New Mexico.  Two nights ago, the Bruins did beat Washington, 69-58.

Altman said it perfectly. The word for this team that comes to mind right now is "rough."

 

They remind me a bit of a certain Oregon football team in the first quarter of this season... The talent is certainly there, but they're rather rough around the edges. But the upside potential is exceptional. 

 

If these guys can gell like our football team has, look out Martha, because they could be scary good.

In the coaches poll, Oregon is ahead of Alabama. Not only did Oregon beat Alabama, but the Quality wins are in  Oregon's favor, San Diego State, Texas A & M, Alabama. Alabama has Illinois, Rutgers.
