Desert Duck No. 1 Share Posted December 7 24 months ago, 34 year old Dillingham took over a perennial crap dumpster fire college football program known as ASU. Last year they went 3-9. They were predicted to be the worst team in the Big 12 this season. Today, they have crushed Iowa in the Big 12 Championship. They are going to the College Football Playoffs. I love Lanning, but if you knew the perennial & horrendous crap storm that Dilly took over 2 short years ago, I think you might agree that he should be Coach of the Year.
30Duck Moderator No. 2 Share Posted December 7 No question for me, given the parameter of COY, Dilly has it hands down for me. Google him.

TerryM9 No. 4 Share Posted December 7 I would give it to Lanning, recruiting is a big part of it, Also the big 12 is just not that good. I do think the world of Dillingham however. 1

It is hard to argue with perfection... 12-0. After we win tonight, I may have to re-evaluate my COY. But there's no arguing that what Dillingham has done with the ASU dumpster fire program in 24 months is staggering. Most people do not realize what a disaster Dilly walked into. I really thought it was a mistake for him to take this program on, but he has proved me wrong.

OregonDucks No. 9 Share Posted December 7 When is the voting for coach of the year? If DL wins Oregon’s first NC, how do you not give him the award?! 1

The Kamikaze Kid Moderator No. 11 Share Posted December 8 Trailing by seven and facing 4th and 9 on the road in hostile confines heading into the fourth quarter, Lanning hosted a pre planned dance party to keep the team loose and prepare them to focus on closing out the game strong. It was as if he borrowed Doc's time traveling Delorean to get a peak at the moment before hand. They then calmly complete a perfect pass for the first down, conclude the drive with a game tying touchdown, win the fourth quarter 10-0 and exit the field with a W like a boss on the way to an undefeated season. To me that's coach of the decade type of stuff. 1 1
