With Clemson beating SMU on a last second 55 yard field goal, I believe both Clemson and SMU are in the playoff which kicks Bama right on out.

I'm not wrong, am I?

I love seeing Bama not even get in the playoff, with a 12 team format. It tastes so sweet!

Never under estimate the power of the brand, I think SMU will be left out.

I think the committee will put a 4th SEC team in the playoff. They have already shown their hand.

Oh, that would be so gross, especially when they've talked about not penalizing teams that were already ranked high enough for losing their conference championship game.

It's all about the money, ESPN loses money because Bama is not in the playoffs guess what the committee will do. Every one outside the SEC knows they had their chance and blew it but money talks.

It would be, this is really going to show how much im=influence the SEC has on the committee.

If there are 4 B1G teams:  Oregon, Penn St, Indiana, Ohio St....  then I will find it hard to believe the SEC gets 3.

Clemson and SMU played a close game. I want to say that SMU stays in the game and Bama gets the boot.

But who knows.

They should get in, but they'll talk about how Bama has better wins and ignore the fact they got boat raced by a bad Oklahoma team while also losing to Vandy.

That's the worst justification ever for bouncing a more deserving team, but I think you're gonna be right.

Just wait until they put in Alabama.

Well Bama is officially out. I'm glad the committee had the stones to do that. It was rightfully concerning that they might not.

Everybody talks about strength of schedule. However, they seem to forget about inexplicable losses. The committee didn’t admit it, but it looks like they punished teams with inexplicable losses which I’m a big fan of. When you don’t beat the teams you’re supposed to beat then you don’t deserve the benefit of the doubt.

Bama (OU, Vandy), Miami (Syracuse, GT), Ole Miss (Kentucky, Florida) were left out. Ohio State (Michigan) was dropped to the 8 seed despite beating Penn State head to head. Notre Dame (NIU) got dropped to the 7 seed despite being the #3 ranked team in the AP.

Has anyone checked on Paul FInebaum to make sure he's okay?
