December 14, 2024Dec 14 Author Moderator Deion Sanders seems frustrated Shedeur Sanders is left out of Heisman race WWW.YARDBARKER.COM Deion Sanders has never been one to hold back his true feeling, so when his son, Shedeur, was left out of the Heisman Trophy race...
December 14, 2024Dec 14 Does he mean the guy that was held to 150 yards passing and 6 points the last time he played Oregon? 🤣 Okay Prime. Edited December 14, 2024Dec 14 by GeotechDuck

I'm hearing, "Give it to a non-quarterback, it doesn't have to be best player best team" None of those really point to Hunter winning, just not Gabriel. Which I just find ridiculous. As fantastic as it is that Hunter played offense and defense in the same season, with another star, Sanders on the team, besides piling up stats, what did either of them accomplish?
December 14, 2024Dec 14 What should voters look at, stats or wins, leadership or showmanship? I think you have to have weight competitive stats, wins and leadership. Too bad showmanship seems to be coming into play, while the other three, especially real wins in the heat of battle and leadership fade. Deion seems to be trying to lead the way in weighting the showmanship and hollow stats brigade. We should be valuing those who can truly lead, and show our youth what made this country great with this most hallowed award. I am glad Gabriel was invited, and I truly respect those who see the value he has as a leader of our team. When you look at the traits of diligence, hard work and perseverance this awards states it values, no one better exemplifies those traits like Dillon Gabriel does. The stated attributes this award stands for are many. While excellence is one of them, how you evaluate that should be along with the other characteristics. If that was truly done, I think Gabriels qualities would rise to the top, as they probably will in the coming games. Thank you Dillon Gabriel, our Heisman winner, at least!
December 14, 2024Dec 14 Author Moderator Gee, I guess Gabriel should have struck the Heisman pose before he scored the touchdown against osu2, or after the 4th & 9 pass to Ferguson, or before diving on the fumble against Penn State?
December 14, 2024Dec 14 Colorado strength of schedule is in the 70s. Dillon beat three playoff teams (so far)
December 14, 2024Dec 14 and even with a much tougher gauntlet and better results… Dillon QBR #2 in nation Sanders is hovering around 20, not far from guys like Tyler Shough and the dude from Syracuse. Lol

December 15, 2024Dec 15 Colorado 9-3 with LOSSES to Kansas,K-State and Nebraska! Oregon 13-0 with 3 playoff team wins! Boo-hoo Prime!
December 15, 2024Dec 15 Not related to the award itself, but did you catch Mario when they did the Cam Ward segment? First off, he said Ward was the greatest player he ever coached. I get he’s not going to go on there and laud any others but he certainly could have tried to be a bit more eloquent (yeah I know Mario and eloquent are rarely in the same sentence) but he was just bad. And his demeanor is always like he just heard the worst possible news. The guy never smiles. So glad that guy is gone.

It’s not a team award, it’s an individual award. And Hunter is a generational talent. I think he deserved to win. Having said that, had Gabriel won, I wouid have been fist bumping along with the rest of us
