Posted January 1Jan 1 Administrator I would love for Dilly to continue the SEC embarrassment today! Share your thoughts on this game in this thread... Mr. FishDuck

When small plays big the small player can win but they need to be perfect every time. Big takes advantage of any little mistakes. ASU has a good offensive line and good players... For the Big 12 but the Big 12 isn't he SEC and Texas has been one of the best recruiters in the SEC. They're in another league.

They're in another league. O line is definitely over matched and yes the talent level is not even close to being even. Poor execution on defense has led to big plays now that they've settled in ASU's defense is looking much better. Dropped passes have hampered the ASU O generally a sign of being rusty.
January 1Jan 1 The Offensive blockers are completely incompetent. I think moreso than the defenders strength, they haven't played against this kind of speed before. Texas defenders are juking and running past ASU blockers
January 1Jan 1 Left tackle decides to double team the DL and let the DE run free into the backfield. Is that really the way it's drawn up? Doubt it. Arroyo is struggling here. Can't go through them, can't go around them. Can't get any time for levitt to pass. They need more roll out multi level pass plays, they need to check down to scatteboo on the few times Texas doesn't bring the house.
January 1Jan 1 Moderator I tuned in late to the game, is there a reason why the ASU offense isn't passing the ball at all?
January 1Jan 1 ASU has surprised me and keeps hanging around. And I'd be glad to face either of these teams in the semi-final.

Offense is too limited to win. ...and as I type Texas just punched it in to basically end the game. ASU just doesn't have the horses to score today. I'm pretty impressed with their defensive effort though.
January 1Jan 1 Arizona State ties the game! LET'S GO!!! Hoping for two former Pac-10 schools to make the college football semi finals!
January 1Jan 1 What am I watching!? This is a Big 12 team tying it up with the mighty SEC! Don't they know they aren't supposed to do that?
January 1Jan 1 If you look at the stats to this game you would think Arizona State was ahead by two TDs.
January 1Jan 1 What happened?? Jeebus, ASU finnally got their o line settled in and made both D and O plays--wowsa
January 1Jan 1 How is it that Dilly didn't get coach of the year? Taking half the talent and going up against the big boy SEC to the end.
January 1Jan 1 Moderator Credit to the entire ASU team, but this performance by Skattebo reminds me of Luke Jackson when he scored 29 straight points in the Ducks' win over Colorado in an NIT game.
January 1Jan 1 Terrible non-call. It was clearly helmet to helmet (it doesn't matter if it was intentional or not). Edited January 1Jan 1 by OregonDucks
January 1Jan 1 I don't even know what to say! How Hunter beat out Scattebo is beyond me. Clearly, Cam makes ASU run. Texas would destroy Colorado.
