Our Oregon football program had some massive turnover in this offseason at key positions. Usually, that’d leave most programs in a spot to rebuild, but head coach Dan Lanning has continued to do such an outstanding job recruiting year round that the Ducks are virtually always ready to reload.

Bear and Matayo sound like a devastating duo! If they're really effective there won't be much for Thieneman and the rest of the secondary to deal with. A stifling defense is and always will be, the key yo winning a Natty. This can be a stifling defense.

Thanks Alex, for giving us something to ponder. Is he going to have the great year that he and Oregon fans want?

Anytime you disrupt an offensive lines interior blocking scheme you create many opportunities for the MINT defense. The 3 - 4 defense is at it’s finest when you have a nose guard that can man handle the center, and require an OL to double team him.

Can the “Bear” wreak havoc in the middle? That probably determines how we handle some of our top rated opponents this season.

Our defense needs to play well. We don’t need our young QB to feel that they need to play “hero” ball early in the season.

Is the quarterback competition really over? Reading this article and many others it appears that it is, but I’ve not seen any official announcement that it won’t last through fall camp?

Having a strong D-line this year will be very important as our db's will mostly all be new starters to Oregons defense. Several key transfers have experience but will be new to us. We must not allow qb's to not be pressured.

A good selection Alex of a player to watch for. Bear's presence will be huge if he plays up to expectations.

Of course, who steps up to fill #1 WR role is right up there too.

When does Fall camp officially start?

What I've really missed watching was the Duck RB, who turned the corner, saw the green in front of him and it was "Touchdown!" Is Makhi Hughes going to fill the bill?

This same question came to my head as well. I do not feel that competition is over quite yet. Luckily, I am confident in our options.

Will a charging Bear create turnover’s for the secondary? I am keen to watch the reconstituted secondary and game one should result in highlights for the DB’s.

Let the Ducks out!!!! They will be strong in all position groups.

In the same way Gabriel was a bit of a step down from Nix, I feel our new QB will be a bit of a step down from Gabriel at best.

I think we are a year away from having a really good QB. Whether it's this year's QB on year 2 on the field, or Moga or Akili developing past this years starter, next year will be better.

I think it's going to be the other way around this season. Our secondary will shut down the WRs and give our DL, Edges and OLBs time to get to the QB. Like 2019, INTs, PBUs, coverage sacks and throw aways on 3rd and long will be the way we get stops on D this year. Something we couldn't do last year.

Honestly I'm more concerned with OL play, the D will be ready to go IMHO. Last years early season OL play was atrocious.

Consequently, Isaiah World is the new face I'm hoping hits the ground running.
