Hoo-boy! Trojan fans have their skirts blown up over a comment Lanning made at the B1G Media days...

(The word is that Pregnon is the one who called Oregon--because he didn't want to play at SC anymore...)

"Not sure if others saw the interview but DL is one weird dude. He just seems slow of brain power."

"Isn't this the definition of the pot calling the kettle black?"

"Translation: 'I’ll keep doing it until you stop me.”

"LOL! Dan is funny."

"Careful what you ask for Danny boy!!!!"

"I agree that Oregon has always been shady and cheater mother truckers, and Lanning and his crew seemed to have taken it to another level. Only way to deal with that is for USC to get better at everything, and beat the living crap out of the Ducks on regular basis. Oregon has had free rein for a long time in the under the table, shady tactics with Nike connection. Hopefully, with the new NIL, it will level the playing field against these a-holes."

It sure sounds like they are going to miss Pregnon! And talk about sour grapes? Whew!

"Rewatching some highlight footage from last year and man, will his presence be missed. I know it’s not worth focusing too much on things that now in the past and can’t be changed…but I can’t help but feel like having him would have earned us 1-2 more wins next year due to his undeniable skill as well as the lack of depth at OL."

"Absolute road-grader in the run game."

"I will add that if DJ Wingfield is not available...OL play could be in trouble, so the wait for Fall Camp is almost here with The OL Job #1, while the defection of Emmanuel Pregnon to Oregon was a low-blow!"

"Big loss. Felt that way at the time. Feel stronger about it now. When we are all gnashing our teeth about this OL in November it will be one of those things we all look back and wonder how Oregon got over on us."

"Sucks that we lost him, and to a school we constantly go head-to-head in recruiting battles. It's even worse that the dude “replacing” Pregnon, might not be eligible and the depth is mediocre. And the guy who will likely be lining up against our inexperienced replacement when we play Oregon will be another dude we lost in the portal (Bear Alexander) who will likely try his hardest in that one game.

"It is perplexing how big the NIL war-chest for Oregon is, but how little they invested in portal OL dudes. Shoulda tampered because another mediocre season is coming and the only people paying attention to the program will be the homers on here."

I'm glad they took it well...

If it's not huge NIL$$$, what could possibly be the issue?

While these guys are busy scratching the bu... er, heads, in bewilderment, they should glance in the mirror and check where the finger points!

Some pretty crazy stuff there....”didn't get or pay much for OL out of the portal?” We got the BEST three OL available out of the portal!

Alex Harkey, No. 71, is not a small man...

Well... USC's NIL is happy to pony up $10 mil plus for a high school recruit who hasn't played a down of college football and won't until next season.

But they couldn't find the money to pay their best offensive lineman?

Suureeeee... "Tampering".... Whatever helps you sleep at night USuckers.

sc fails to realize we did them a favor, weakening their team may shorten Riley's life/coach span.

Jonas Williams, long-time QB commit to OBD, woke up one morning and had an epiphany: I need to play ball at USC.🤔

No one affiliated with the folks in South Central contacted Jonas, right? 🤬

This is simply more proof that SC is No. 1 in something; No. 1 out of 17 teams PO'd that a Duck is nesting in B1G territory. 😎

Always reassuring to hear that both Trojan staff and fans are still spellbound by their pie-in-the-sky dreams of a return to days of yore. What other way can you explain their no longer justified sense of entitled elitism?

How else can you make sense of their apparent unwillingness to pay an essential OL what he’s worth, other than because they can’t ever imagine him wanting to leave, especially for those, “ . . . under the table, shady and cheater mother truckers with Nike connection” at Oregon?

God Bless their pointed little helmeted heads.

These haters are spinning conjecture like it’s their full-time job, but it’s really just free advertising for OBD. Every time they rant about Lanning or the Ducks, it’s like they’re secretly in the fan club and don’t know it yet. You can practically feel the jealousy dripping off their posts... the same kind of energy you get when someone realizes their flip phone can’t keep up with a smartphone. Keep it up, folks… we appreciate the unpaid hype team.

I have to think most of the SUC fans can’t be happy about the money they paid for Riley, especially when you look at his results. Each season his win/loss record gets worse. SUC dished out big money for a used Lincoln, only to find out it has engine trouble.

Contrast that to Oregon, we took a calculated risk on a young energetic coach that wants to outwork the competition. Lanning surrounded himself with a young like minded staff, and it is obvious it carried over to the players.

SUC is throwing around money, but is it being used effectively?

Compare the atmosphere surrounding the team in Smog town to Eugene. Must win vs. let’s go out and take a run at the title again …only this time with a few of SUCs top lineman…lol
